Japanese Journalist Kenji Goto Beheaded by ISIS

The Islamic State has beheaded Japanese journalist Kenji Goto, a convert to Christianity with a wife and two children. As usual, the response of politicians and the media will be to defend Islam from criticism, thus ensuring that the beheadings never end.
Fox News—An online video released Saturday appears to show Islamic State executing Japanese journalist Kenji Goto -- the apparent end to a frantic past couple of days in which Japan officials tried negotiating to save Goto’s life.

The video shows a militant with a British accent beheading Goto, similar to other, recent execution videos released by the extremist group.

The hostage drama began last week after Islamic State threatened to kill Goto and fellow Japanese hostage Haruna Yukawa in 72 hours unless Japan paid $200 million.

A purported militant message released Jan. 24 claimed Yukawa had been killed.

The militants later demanded the release of Sajida al-Rishawi, who is on death row in Jordan for her role in a 2005 al Qaeda attack on hotels in Amman that killed 60 people.

Within hours, the militant group said it instead wanted al-Rishawi, 44, released in exchange for the life of hostage Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh, a Jordanian fighter pilot.

The video released Saturday, via militant websites, bore the symbols of previous Islamic State group videos in which three American separately appear to have been executed. (Continue Reading.)

A Dozen Former French Soldiers Are Waging Jihad

France trains its soldiers in all the tactics necessary for modern warfare. Some of these soldiers then join ISIS and share what they've learned. If you're wondering why the Islamic State has been so successful, it's because they've had excellent training . . . by Western governments.
AFP—A dozen ex-French soldiers have joined jihadist groups in Iraq and Syria, raising concerns over the possible existence of radical elements within the military, a defence ministry source said Wednesday.

"We estimate at around a dozen the number of former troops who have joined these networks," the source, who wished to remain anonymous, said.

"Our concern is not former soldiers... It's preventing the phenomenon of radicalisation with our forces," the source added.

Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian refused to comment directly on the affair.

"The cases of former soldiers being tempted by jihadism are extremely rare," he told a press conference to announce new anti-terrorism measures in the wake of the recent attacks in Paris.

The military's 1,000-strong internal intelligence unit will get 65 extra staff to help vet and track recruits more closely, the ministry announced.

The army's biggest fear is that rogue soldiers could turn their weapons on their comrades or use their combat and explosives know-how to carry out attacks.

RFI radio reported that most of the soldiers-turned-jihadists, whose ranks included former special forces and Foreign Legion members, had joined the Islamic State group.

One was commanding a group of French recruits that he had trained in northeast Syria, the radio added.

"Others are explosives experts," RFI said, adding that the fighters were mostly in their twenties.

According to L'Opinion newspaper, one combatant had served in the elite 1st Marine Infantry Parachute Regiment. (Continue Reading.)

Libyan Branch of Islamic State Kills Ten in Hotel Attack

How is it possible that so many Muslims, from so many different countries, are all misreading the Muslim sources in exactly the same way?
Tripoli, Libya (Associated Press) — A Libyan affiliate of the extremist Islamic State group claimed responsibility Wednesday for an attack on a Tripoli luxury hotel that killed 10 people, including an American and four Europeans.

The group, calling itself "Islamic State in Tripoli Province," said it launched the attack Tuesday to avenge the death of Abu Anas al-Libi, who was snatched off a Tripoli street by U.S. special forces in 2013 and died in U.S. custody earlier this month due to complications from liver surgery. Al-Libi had been indicted in U.S. federal court over his alleged role in the 1998 al-Qaida bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

The group identified the attackers as Abu Ibrahim al-Tunsi and Abu Suleiman al-Sudani, noms de guerre that suggest the attackers were Tunisian and Sudanese. The claim of responsibility was dated Tuesday but first appeared on jihadi forums Wednesday.

"The operation is not the last one on the lands of Tripoli... Let the enemies of God, the crusaders and their allies await what would harm them," the message read. (Continue Reading.)

Jordan Agrees to Exchange Convicted Terrorist Sajida al-Rishawi for Captured Pilot Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh

Negotiating the release of a convicted terrorist will significantly increase the prestige of ISIS in the eyes of many jihadists.
Sajida al-Rishawi
Fox News—Jordan has agreed to demands from ISIS that it release a female jihadist held since 2006, in a move that could free a Jordanian pilot captured in Syria last month and possibly a Japanese journalist who pleaded for his life in a video released by the terror group on Tuesday.

Jordanian government spokesman Mohammed al-Momani said in a statement the nation was prepared to free Sajida al-Rishawi, who was convicted of taking part in a deadly hotel bombing, if the Jordanian pilot, Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh, is released unharmed. His comments were carried by Jordan's official Petra news agency. Although he made no mention of Japanese journalist Kenji Goto, a hostage audio message released by Islamic State a day earlier tied Goto's fate to that of Al-Rishawi, as well.

Al-Rishawi was sentenced to death in Jordan for her involvement in a 2005 terrorist attack by al-Qaida on hotels in Amman that killed 60 people. Jordan is reportedly in indirect talks with the militants through religious and tribal leaders in Iraq to secure the hostages' release. The chairman of the foreign affairs committee of Jordan's parliament, Bassam Al-Manasseer, has been quoted as saying that Jordan and Japan would not negotiate directly with the Islamic State group and would not free al-Rishawi for the Japanese hostage only. Peaceful French Teenager Converts to Islam, Heads to Syria to Wage Jihad

When I criticize Islam, people call me a racist, Islamophobic, hate-mongering bigot. But let's be honest here. This teenager just threw his life away by joining the jihad after converting to Islam. Would it really have been "hateful" for someone to tell him the truth about Islam before he converted? Instead, politicians and the media praise Islam and block all open, honest discussion of Muhammad and the Qur'an. This special treatment for Islam leads to conversions, and these conversions produce more jihadists.
Paris—The mother had her suspicions before her 16-year-old son fled from the southeastern French city of Nice to Syria.

Her son was Christian and popular and liked football and making wood sculptures. But she had seen him change, converting to Islam and falling under the influence of an extremist neighbor, refusing to eat with the family and isolating himself in his room.

Still, the mother of four said, “I didn’t know he was going to leave.”

She has sued the French government over what happened next: Bryan (a pseudonym used in court papers) said he was going to a sleepover, but instead, accompanied by some friends, he went to an airport and boarded a flight to Turkey using his national identification card, eventually making his way to Syria.

“How could they let him leave for Turkey with his ID card? They should have called me,” said the woman, who asked to be identified only by her first name, Nadine, 39, because of the pending court case.

Nadine said when her son didn’t return the morning after the sleepover, she spoke with neighbors who told her where the youths had gone. She said she contacted police, but they did not take her complaint seriously.

“They listened but I had the impression that they were not really listening,” she said.

Three years ago, an administrative change by the government allowed youths with valid identification to leave the country without a parent’s permission. Since then, dozens of youths have left for Syria via Turkey. (Continue Reading.)

Saudi Cleric Issues Fatwa against Snowmen

Sheikh Mohammed Saleh al-Munajjid has issued a fatwa against building snowmen. Anyone here ever been tempted to worship a snowman? Me neither.
Reuters-A prominent Saudi Arabian cleric has whipped up controversy by issuing a religious ruling forbidding the building of snowmen, described them as anti-Islamic.

Asked on a religious website if it was permissible for fathers to build snowmen for their children after a snowstorm in the country's north, Sheikh Mohammed Saleh al-Munajjid replied: "It is not permitted to make a statue out of snow, even by way of play and fun."

Quoting from Muslim scholars, Sheikh Munajjid argued that to build a snowman was to create an image of a human being, an action considered sinful under the kingdom's strict interpretation of Sunni Islam.

"God has given people space to make whatever they want which does not have a soul, including trees, ships, fruits, buildings and so on," he wrote in his ruling. (Continue Reading.)

Allah's Incarnation in a Heavenly Body According to Osama Abdallah

In the comment thread of a previous post, Muslim apologist Osama Abdallah graciously sought to educate us on the constituent elements of human nature, which he said are defined “accurately and logically” in Islam over and against “paganism”. According to Osama, man consists of a self (Arabic: nafs) and a physical body that are animated or made alive by Allah’s Spirit.

I found what Osama said about the self/nafs, ordinarily translated “soul” by translators, to be especially interesting. Osama said of the self: “This is what enters the flesh and blood or whatever other form it will enter. It will enter the Heavenly Body that it will live in in Heaven, or the Hell body in Hell that it too will live in.”

Intrigued by the implications of this, and in order to make sure I was accurately understanding him to be saying that every self/nafs “enters the flesh and blood or whatever other form it will enter,” I quoted Osama’s words back to him and then asked the following question: “You have said that Islam’s view is logical, and you have referred to the nafs, i.e. self, as that which enters flesh and blood and other forms. Does EVERY nafs/self enter into a body or other forms in either heaven or hell?”

In confirmation of the fact that this was his intended meaning, Osama gave the following terse reply: “It’s funny that you quoted me and then asked a question that is directly answered by the very quote that you quoted me on.”

With that in view, the reason Osama’s “logical” view of the self is so interesting is because of what it says in the following verse of the Qur’an:

And (remember) when Allah will say (on the Day of Resurrection): “O Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)! Did you say unto men: Worship me and my mother as two gods besides Allah?” He will say: “Glory be to You! It was not for me to say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing, You would surely have known it. You know what is in MY inner self though I do not know what is in YOURS, truly, You only You, are the All Knower of all that is hidden and unseen. (S. 5:116, Hilali & Khan; cf. 3:28, 3:30, 6:12, 6:54, 20:41)

According to the above verse, Allah has an inner self/nafs. The same thing can be seen in several hadith, the following among them:

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Allah says: ‘I am just as My slave thinks I am, (i.e. I am able to do for him what he thinks I can do for him) and I am with him if He remembers Me. If he remembers Me in himself, I too, remember him in Myself; and if he remembers Me in a group of people, I remember him in a group that is better than they; and if he comes one span nearer to Me, I go one cubit nearer to him; and if he comes one cubit nearer to Me, I go a distance of two outstretched arms nearer to him; and if he comes to Me walking, I go to him running.’" (Sahih Bukhari, 9.93.502; see also 9.93.501)

On the authority of Abu Dharr al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him) is that among the sayings he relates from his Lord (may He be glorified) is that He said:

O My servants, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another. O My servants, all of you are astray except for those I have guided, so seek guidance of Me and I shall guide you, O My servants, all of you are hungry except for those I have fed, so seek food of Me and I shall feed you. O My servants, all of you are naked except for those I have clothed, so seek clothing of Me and I shall clothe you. O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you. O My servants, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and will not attain benefitting Me so as to benefit Me. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as pious as the most pious heart of any one man of you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man of you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything. O My servants, were the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not decrease what I have, any more that a needle decreases the sea if put into it. O My servants, it is but your deeds that I reckon up for you and then recompense you for, so let him who finds good praise Allah and let him who finds other than that blame no one but himself. It was related by Muslim (also by at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah). (Hadith Qudsi, 17)

So according to the Islamic sources Allah has an inner self or soul, i.e. Allah has what Osama said enters “flesh and blood and other forms…the Heavenly Body…in Heaven…the Hell body in Hell….” In other words, since Allah has a self, and since every self enters flesh and blood and other forms in heaven or hell, then Allah must have a heavenly body. The logic is ironclad:
Ø  P1: All selfs/nafs enter flesh and blood or other forms (i.e. heavenly body, hell body)
Ø  P2: Allah is/has a self/nafs
Ø  Conclusion: Allah entered flesh and blood or other forms
The problem with this for Osama is that the Christian doctrine of the incarnation is the chief reason he calls Christianity “paganism.” So if Christianity is paganism, and if Osama’s belief about the self/nafs is “logically” consistent with his own stated view of the self and the teaching of the Qur’an regarding Allah being a self or having a nafs, then Islam must be paganism by Osama’s own criteria. In other words, Osama has a contradiction on his hands (several of them).

Now sit back and watch Osama deny the implications of his own “accurate and logical” position.

Tens of Thousands of Iranian Muslims Protest Charlie Hebdo Cartoons

People are being slaughtered around the world in the name of Allah. But it's good to see so many Muslims who realize that cartoons are much more important.
Agence France-Presse—Tens of thousands took to the streets in cities across Iran after Friday prayers to condemn French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo for publishing a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad.

The biggest demonstrations were in cities other than Tehran, with state television showing large crowds angered at the depiction of the prophet.

The image was published one week after 12 people were killed by Islamist gunmen at the magazine's Paris offices because of earlier such cartoons.

"Death to France, death to Israel, death to Britain, death to Charlie Hebdo," the crowds chanted in southern cities such as Qom and Isfahan, carrying flags and placards in reverence to the prophet. (Continue Reading.)

Pope Francis Condemns Muhammad!

Following the recent Charlie Hebdo Massacre in Paris, Pope Francis condemned Muhammad ... without even realizing it. According to Pope Francis, it is wrong and immoral to insult another person's religion. Yet history shows that Muhammad and his companions regularly insulted other people's religion. Hence, the Pope has declared that Muhammad and his companions were immoral!

Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa To Be Executed Tomorrow by ISIS if Ransom Not Paid

Meanwhile, our leaders continue to praise and defend the religion that promotes such brutality.
Tokyo (CNN)—Japan says it has had no contact with ISIS as the Islamic militant group's deadline nears for Tokyo to pay a $200 million ransom to spare the lives of two hostages.

Japanese officials have said they are doing their best to communicate with ISIS, which threatened in a video released Tuesday to kill two Japanese citizens it's holding within 72 hours if it doesn't receive the huge sum it's demanding.

But Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said Thursday that Tokyo had so far heard nothing and doesn't know what situation the two hostages, Kenji Goto and Haruna Yukawa, are in.

Japan has said it would try reaching the ISIS captors through third parties, like governments in the region or local tribal leaders.

"We are aiming to save them as soon as possible," Suga said Thursday.

Time is of the essence: the Japanese government says it estimates ISIS' ultimatum will expire at 2:50 p.m. Friday, Tokyo time (12:50 a.m. ET). (Continue Reading.)

Niger: Ten Killed, Churches Torched in Cartoon Riots

But Islam is peaceful and tolerant and Muhammad supported freedom of speech and open criticism of his claims, right?
(Reuters) - At least five people were killed on Saturday in protests in Niger against Charlie Hebdo's cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad, authorities said, bringing the death toll from two days of violence in the country to 10.

Police fired tear gas at crowds of stone-throwing Muslim youths who set fire to churches and looted shops in the capital Niamey after authorities banned a meeting called by local Islamic leaders. A police station was attacked and at least two police cars burned.

"They offended our Prophet Mohammad, that's what we didn't like," said Amadou Abdoul Ouahab, who took part in the demonstrations.

President Mahamadou Issoufou said all five of the dead were civilians, with four of them killed inside burned churches or bars. He said an enquiry would be opened and those responsible for organising the violence would be punished.

"Those who pillage religious sites and profane them, those who persecute and kill their Christian compatriots or foreigners who live on our soil, have understood nothing of Islam," he said in a televised address.

The president added, however, that he shared the disgust of Muslims who felt offended by the caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad and that freedom of expression should not mean liberty to insult religious beliefs.

Issoufou joined a march in Paris last weekend alongside French President Francois Hollande, in the wake of a gun attack that killed 12 people at the offices of satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo, which had angered many Muslims by printing cartoons of Mohammad in the past.

But Issoufou said on Saturday he had wanted to demonstrate his opposition to terrorism and not support for the newspaper itself. (Continue Reading.)

The Ghost of Charlie Hebdo and the Purple Beret

On January 7, 2015, two Muslim terrorists stormed the Paris headquarters of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. After killing numerous people, the jihadists yelled "Allahu akbar!" and "We have avenged the Prophet!" Christopher Lee Cornell (aka Raheel Mahrus Ubaydah) Arrested for Planning Islamic Terrorist Attack on U.S. Capitol

A devout Ohio Muslim named Christopher Lee Cornell (aka Raheel Mahrus Ubaydah) has been arrested for planning an attack on the U.S. Capitol. Meanwhile, Muslims in New York are complaining about increased surveillance in light of rising terrorist threats.
ABC News—The FBI has arrested an Ohio man for allegedly plotting an ISIS-inspired attack on the U.S. Capitol, where he hoped to set off a series of bombs aimed at lawmakers, whom he allegedly considered enemies.

Christopher Lee Cornell, 20, of Green Township, was arrested today on charges of attempting to kill a U.S. government official, authorities said.

According to government documents, he allegedly planned to detonate pipe bombs at the national landmark and open fire on any employees and officials fleeing after the explosions.

The FBI first noticed Cornell several months ago after an informant notified the agency that Cornell was allegedly voicing support for violent “jihad” on Twitter accounts under the alias “Raheel Mahrus Ubaydah,” according to charging documents. In addition, Cornell allegedly posted statements, videos and other content expressing support for ISIS -- the brutal terrorist group also known as ISIL -- that is wreaking havoc in Iraq and Syria.

“I believe that we should just wage jihad under our own orders and plan attacks and everything,” Cornell allegedly wrote in an online message to the informant in August, according to the FBI. “I believe we should meet up and make our own group in alliance with the Islamic State here and plan operations ourselves."

In the message, Cornell said that such attacks “already got a thumbs up” from radical cleric Anwar Awlaki “before his martyrdom.” (Continue Reading.)

Muhammad Appears on Cover of New Charlie Hebdo Issue

The new issue of Charlie Hebdo will feature Muhammad on the cover:

CNN—If the Charlie Hebdo attackers thought they could eliminate the magazine, they're about to be proven wrong a million times over.

Editors of the Paris-based satirical magazine released the cover of their next issue on Monday night, and it shows a cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed, holding up a sign with the now-famous slogan "Je Suis Charlie."

That slogan has become a rallying cry in the wake of the horrific shootings that left 12 dead at the magazine's offices last week.

The cover illustration also includes the words "Everything is forgiven."

The new cover was shared by Liberation, a French newspaper that lent office space to the surviving staff members of Charlie Hebdo.

Liberation's news story about the new cover said it was specifically meant to depict Mohammed.

Many major news organizations, including CNN, have refrained from showing any of the Charlie Hebdo cartoons that purport to show the prophet. Executives at CNN have cited concerns about the safety of staff members and sensitivity about Muslim audiences.

The issue of Charlie Hebdo is scheduled to be shipped to newsstands on Tuesday and put on sale on Wednesday. Resuming publication is a triumphant moment for the magazine, and one celebrated by journalists around the world. It is also a highly provocative moment -- as Monday's cover indicates.

Many Muslims find depictions of Mohammed to be deeply offensive, and there has been speculation that Wednesday's attackers were motivated in part by past Charlie Hedbo cartoons. (Continue Reading.)

Charlie Hebdo Comes to Speaker's Corner

Here's Jay Smith discussing the Charlie Hebdo cartoons at Speaker's Corner in London.

Muhammad Orders the Execution of Critics

When Muhammad entered Mecca, he ordered his followers only to fight those who refused to surrender to him, except certain people who were to be executed whether they surrendered or not. In our earliest detailed biographical source on the fall of Mecca, Ibn Ishaq lists eight people who were to receive the death penalty. The charges against four of the eight were "insulting Muhammad." One of the four critics was eventually pardoned; the others were killed.

Politicians, the media, and Muslim groups assure us that Muhammad never retaliated against people who insulted him. Too bad these modern apologists weren't there to tell Muhammad how tolerant they would one day imagine him to be.

Here's the passage from Ibn Ishaq, with details on the critics underlined. Pass it on.

German Newspaper Hamburger Morgenpost Firebombed for Reprinting Charlie Hebdo Cartoons

Didn't anyone bother to tell the arsonists that Islam promotes open criticism and free speech, as politicians and the media insist?
Berlin (AFP) - A German tabloid that reprinted cartoons from the French satirical paper Charlie Hebdo lampooning the Prophet Mohammed was targeted in firebombing Sunday, police said.

With security services on high alert after a killing spree in Paris by Islamic extremists, police in the northern German port city of Hamburg said no one was injured in the blaze at the headquarters of the regional daily Hamburger Morgenpost, which caused only slight damage.

"Rocks and then a burning object were thrown through the window," a police spokesman told AFP.

"Two rooms on lower floors were damaged but the fire was put out quickly."

Sunan Abu Dawud 4361 (Muhammad on Killing Critics of Islam)

Here's Sunan Abu Dawud 4361 (4348 in some editions), in English and Arabic, along with the rating (sahih). In this hadith, a man kills the mother of his children for speaking against Muhammad. Muhammad, in response, says that no one is to punish the man.

So when Muhammad's own companions killed critics of Islam, and Muhammad approved, why do politicians, the media, and Muslim groups keep insisting that killing critics has nothing to do with Islam?

CAIR Changing the Subject to . . . Anders Breivik???

Muslim terrorists shouting "Allahu Akbar" and "We have avenged the Prophet Muhammad" just killed more than a dozen people in France. The Council on American-Islamic Relations responds by drawing attention to Anders Behring Breivik, who admitted that he doesn't even really believe in God. Check out CAIR-Chicago's last FIVE tweets:

Three things are odd about these tweets. First, there have been nearly 25,000 terrorist attacks committed in the name of Islam since 9-11. Is repeatedly pointing to the actions of ONE non-Muslim supposed to show that Islam isn't violent? If Islam is really no more violent than other ideologies, shouldn't CAIR be able to point to a hundred thousand terrorist attacks by non-Muslims? Second, by Breivik's own words, he wasn't a Christian at all. He said in his manifesto that he was going to claim to belong to an ideology that had the best chance of uniting Europeans and that he chose Christianity because Odinism wasn't widespread enough. Here's what he said:

Third, Breivik said in his manifesto that he selected terrorism as his method because he saw that it worked for Muslims! Here's the proof:

So there you have it. CAIR attempts to offset nearly 25,000 Islamic terrorist attacks by pointing to a "Christian" who admits that he isn't a Christian and who learned terrorism from Muslims.

Notice that CAIR just specifically called Breivik a Christian. Remember this the next time CAIR tells us not to call Muslim terrorists "Muslims"!

Who Is Hayat Boumeddiene?

Al Qaeda Claims Responsibility for Paris Attacks

Al Qaeda used to plan grand bombings, but I've always been more worried about the day when Al Qaeda starts sending in gunmen. The bombings require so much planning that they're easier to stop. It's hard to catch shooters before they start shooting.
Fox News—A member of Al Qaeda's branch in Yemen said the group directed the massacre at a Paris magazine, hours after near simultaneous raids by French police on Friday killed the two Islamist brothers behind the attack and an ally of theirs.

The raids, conducted at locations 25 miles apart, took out Cherif and Said Kouachi and a suspect in a policewoman's killing who had seized hostages at a Paris grocery on the brothers' behalf, but also left at least four hostages dead, according to authorities and reports from the scene.

The Al Qaeda member on Friday provided to The Associated Press a statement in English saying "the leadership of AQAP directed the operations and they have chosen their target carefully."

There was no independent confirmation of the report.

He said the attack was in line with warnings from the late Al Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden to the West about "the consequences of the persistence in the blasphemy against Muslim sanctities." (Continue Reading.)

Muslim Terrorist Amedy Coulibaly Dead, Along with Four Hostages

In 2009, French President Nicolas Sarkozy met with future terrorist Amedy Coulibaly at the presidential palace as part of a forum on disenfranchised youth. In 2013, Coulibaly was later sentenced to five years in prison for his role in a plot to help Muslim terrorist Ait Ali Belkacem escape from prison. In 2015, Coulibaly murdered policewoman Clarissa Jean-Philippe following the Charlie Hebdo massacre (which was carried out by the Kouachi brothers, who were his friends). Coulibaly is now dead, along with four of the hostages he was holding.

Can we talk about Islam yet?

Amedy Coulibaly and Girlfriend Hayat Boumeddiene
Fox News—Near-simultaneous raids by French police Friday evening at locations 25 miles apart took out the Islamist brothers behind Wednesday's massacre at a Paris satirical magazine, and a cop-killing ally who had seized hostages at a Paris grocery, demanding police free his jihadist cronies.

The lightning-quick strikes ended two tense, hours-long standoffs, one at a printing plant north of the city and the other at a kosher supermarket on Paris' east side, where Reuters reported four hostages were killed. A hostage held north of the city by the brothers, who killed 12 in a commando-style attack at the offices of Charlie Hebdo, was reportedly freed. The fast-moving developments, signaled by explosions and gunfire at a printing plant in Dammartin-en-Goele, followed by similar sounds at Hypercacher (Hyper Kosher), a Jewish supermarket in eastern Paris, brought to a climax a three-day terror ordeal and manhunt involving nearly 90,000 police and military personnel.

Cherif and Said Kouachi, the radicalized French-born slackers whose attack on Charlie Hebdo left two police officers among the dozen dead, were both killed in the first raid. The brothers, 32 and 34, respectively, are believed to have ties to Al Qaeda in Yemen, and military experts who viewed footage of their bloody, late-morning raid on Wednesday said they appeared to be well-trained terrorists. Charlie Hebdo had long angered Muslim radicals with its penchant for publishing cartoon images of Prophet Muhammed.

In Paris, police said Amedy Coulibaly, who is believed to have know the brothers and was suspected of killing Paris Police Officer Clarissa Jean-Philippe Thursday, as she attended to a routine traffic accident in the city, was killed in a raid moments later, ending his supermarket siege. Police had identified him and his longtime girlfriend, Hayat Boumeddiene, as suspects, but her whereabouts were not immediately known.

Coulibaly, 33, and Cherif Kouachi were committed followers of convicted terror kingpin Djamel Beghal, according to Le Monde. (Continue Reading.)

Said Kouachi, Cherif Kouachi, and Hamyd Mourad Identified as Charlie Hebdo Mass Murderers

Police officials in France have identified the Charlie Hebdo terrorists as Said Kouachi, Cherif Kouachi, and Hamyd Mourad. The Kouachi brothers were born and raised in France.
PARIS — French police have identified three men as suspects in Wednesday’s massacre of a dozen people at the offices of a satirical weekly newspaper, a brazen attack that set off a massive manhunt amid widespread condemnation of the killings.

According to police and other officials, two of the suspects are French brothers aged 34 and 32 years old from the Paris region, and the third is an 18-year-old from the northeastern city of Reims. There were conflicting reports on whether the teenager was also a French national.

In a late-night telephone interview with CNN, Paris Deputy Mayor Patrick Klugman said the three gunmen have been identified and “may have been arrested.” One “may have been prosecuted in the past,” he said, but he did not know the charge.

There was no immediate official confirmation of any arrests in the case.

The Associated Press, citing police officials, named the suspects as Frenchmen Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi. The news agency identified the 18-year-old as Hamyd Mourad. It quoted one official as saying the suspects were linked to a Yemeni terrorist network. (Continue Reading.)

Jihadists in Paris Kill 12 in Attack on Charlie Hebdo Magazine Headquarters

The French magazine Charlie Hebdo is deliberately offensive towards everyone. Unlike the vast majority of satirical works (which make fun of everything but Islam), the cartoonists at Charlie Hebdo went out of their way to show that they can make fun of Islam too.

In the latest offering from the "religion of peace," 12 people are dead at the Paris headquarters of Charlie Hebdo. This attack serves as a warning to the media: "Don't treat Islam like you treat other ideologies." The media, of course, are all too happy to comply.
A cartoon of Muhammad
BBC—Gunmen have attacked the Paris office of French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, killing 12 people and injuring seven in an apparent Islamist attack.

Three masked attackers opened fire with assault rifles in the office and exchanged shots with police in the street outside before escaping by car.

The gunmen shouted "we have avenged the Prophet Muhammad", witnesses say.

President Francois Hollande said there was no doubt it had been a terrorist attack "of exceptional barbarity".

A major police operation is under way in the Paris area to catch the killers. The number of gunmen was initially reported to be two, but French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve later said they were hunting three "criminals".

Four of the magazine's well-known cartoonists, including its editor-in-chief Stephane Charbonnier were reported among those killed, as well as two police officers.

Mr Charbonnier, 47, had received death threats in the past and was living under police protection.

French media have named the three other cartoonists killed in the attack as Cabu, Tignous and Wolinski. Reports say the attack took place during the magazine's daily editorial meeting.

Several of the wounded remain in a critical condition.

The satirical weekly has courted controversy in the past with its irreverent take on news and current affairs. It was fire-bombed in November 2011 a day after it carried a caricature of the Prophet Muhammad.

The latest tweet on Charlie Hebdo's account was a cartoon of the Islamic State militant group leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. (Continue Reading.)

A Merry Christmas from Osama Abdallah

I received an email last week from "Osama Abdallah". Since Osama’s website has been associated with viruses many times in the past, I always scan his emails before opening anything from him. This time the link he provided gave me a phishing alert. After being confronted, Osama feigned ignorance. Here is a screenshot of the email he said he never sent.

While it is possible that someone else tried to engage in Internet terrorism in Osama’s name, his history shows that it is entirely possible that he did it himself.

God OUR Father

One of the chief benefits of the Gospel is that God the Father adopts us as His children through Christ, His co-eternal and co-essential Son. Since Muslims do not believe in the Son of God, they neither know God as their Father nor do they worship the Father. Muslims will sometimes deny this and pretend that they believe in and worship the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, but those who know better say otherwise.

Since Muslims believe they are brothers and sisters but deny that God is their Father, the million dollar question is: "If all Muslims are brothers and sisters, then who is their common father?

Either Muslims must reckon themselves to be cosmic orphans, something Jesus said was not true of His followers (John 14:18), or they must own up to the fact that they are sons and daughters of someone else. But who could that be? As the old saying goes, this means they are stuck between the Devil and the deep blue sea.
