The Women's March and Islam
While the Women's March is supposed to be about women, the so-called "feminist" speakers openly promote Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran, which are history's greatest forces for misogyny and oppression. Here are my thoughts.

Answering Islam 10: How Does the Quran View Women?
Here's Episode 10 of our "Answering Islam" series, where I answer the question: "How does the Qur'an view women?" For the rest of the series, click on the playlist.
Here's the full text of the video:
How Does the Qur’an View Women?
Individual Muslim men might be very loving towards their wives. My friend Nabeel’s parents had a beautiful relationship, and so do many other Muslim couples. But there’s definitely a problem in the Muslim world.
In 2009, the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development released a report on Gender Equality and Social Institutions. They rated countries around the world based on the opportunities women have for education and employment, laws to protect women from physical violence, the percentage of women who are married and/or divorced by age 16, and so on. And they found that eleven of the twelve countries with the highest levels of discrimination against women were Muslim-majority countries.
A similar study in 2014, conducted by the World Economic Forum, using their own criteria, concluded that 19 of the 20 worst countries in the world, in terms of the gender gap between men and women, were Muslim-majority countries.
When you have a problem like this, you have to ask, “Why do so many Muslim countries have the same problem—namely, high levels of discrimination against women?” And what these countries have in common is their belief in the Qur’an.
Let’s look at three verses so we can see the source of the problem.
Surah 2, verse 282 of the Qur’an is a long verse dealing with contracts. But there’s an interesting part in the middle of the verse that says:
This view of the reliability of a woman’s testimony has made it enormously difficult for Muslim women to testify against men in court. According to the New York Times, human rights workers have noted that as many as half of the women who report being raped in Pakistan are charged with adultery.
Another disturbing verses is Surah 2, verse 223, where Allah tells Muslim men:
The historical background of this verse, according to Sunan Abu Dawud, is that when Muslims moved to Medina, they began marrying women from Medina, and the women of Medina didn’t want to have sex in certain positions. One woman told her husband not to come near her if he wanted sex in these positions. She said, “Stay away from me if you want me to do that.” The issue was brought to Muhammad, and Allah’s response was Surah 2, verse 223: “She’s your tilth, your field for sowing your seed; plow her however you want.” Notice, the wife has no right to refuse her husband’s sexual desires.
Let’s consider one more verse. Some women aren’t as quick to obey their husbands as Allah and Muhammad demand, so what are Muslim men supposed to do about rebellious wives? Allah answers in Surah 4, verse 34:
A study by Human Rights Watch reports that more than 85% of Afghan women are victims of physical, sexual, or psychological violence or forced marriage, and that more than 60 percent are victims of multiple forms of violence? Why? Because of the Qur’an.
According to Allah and Muhammad, women are stupid; they’re the property of men and have to submit themselves fully to their husbands’ sexual whims; those who don’t are to be beaten into submission. Numerous studies show the real-world impact of these teachings. And yet we’re told, by politicians, reporters, and Muslim groups that the discrimination against women in Muslim countries has nothing to do with Islam. But as long as people refuse to confront the actual problem, women in Muslim countries will continue to suffer.

And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (one of the two women) errs, the other can remind her.The Qur’an says that, if two men aren’t available as witnesses, then get a man and two women. Here we find the Islamic principle that the testimony of a woman is worth half the testimony of a man. Why is this? Muhammad explains in Sahih al-Bukhari, where he says that the testimony of a woman is only half as reliable as a man’s testimony because women are intellectually deficient. They’re stupid.
Your wives are a tilth for you; so go to your tilth when or how you will . . .We don’t use the word “tilth” much nowadays. A “tilth” is a patch of ground that you plow so you can sow your seed. The Qur’an says that women are a tilth that you approach whenever and however you want.
The historical background of this verse, according to Sunan Abu Dawud, is that when Muslims moved to Medina, they began marrying women from Medina, and the women of Medina didn’t want to have sex in certain positions. One woman told her husband not to come near her if he wanted sex in these positions. Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom you fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them.If your wife doesn’t obey you, you warn her, banish her to a separate bed, and beat her until she does what you say.
A study by Human Rights Watch reports that more than 85% of Afghan women are victims of physical, sexual, or psychological violence or forced marriage, and that more than 60 percent are victims of multiple forms of violence? Why? Because of the Qur’an.

How Islam Can Help Prevent Sexual Abuse Scandals
The Independent recently published an article titled, "How the Teachings of Islam Could Help Us Prevent More Sexual Abuse Scandals," by Qasim Rashid. For once, I actually agree with Qasim Rashid. So, in this video, I present ten ways Islam can help prevent sexual abuse scandals.

Crazy-Talk with Zakir Naik
According to the Quran (4:34), Muslim men can beat their wives into submission. Muslim apologist Zakir Naik claims that the beating is only symbolic, done with a toothbrush or a handkerchief. But if the beating is only symbolic, how can we understand passages in the Hadith about Muhammad beating Aisha or a woman being beaten until her skin turned green? Anthony Rogers discusses the problem.

Three Quran Verses Every Woman Should Know

A similar study in 2014, conducted by the World Economic Forum, concluded that 19 of the 20 countries with the largest gender gap between men and women were Muslim-majority countries.
Are these results connected to the teachings of Islam, or are they mere coincidence? In this video, I present three Quran verses every woman needs to know. These verses show that in order to challenge the gender gap in Muslim countries, we must all challenge the commands of Allah and Muhammad.

Qur'an 2:282—O you who believe! When you contract a debt for a fixed period, write it down. Let a scribe write it down in justice between you. Let not the scribe refuse to write as Allah has taught him, so let him write. Let him (the debtor) who incurs the liability dictate, and he must fear Allah, his Lord, and diminish not anything of what he owes. But if the debtor is of poor understanding, or weak, or is unable himself to dictate, then let his guardian dictate in justice. And get two witnesses out of your own men. And if there are not two men (available), then a man and two women, such as you agree for witnesses, so that if one of them (two women) errs, the other can remind her. And the witnesses should not refuse when they are called on (for evidence). You should not become weary to write it (your contract), whether it be small or big, for its fixed term, that is more just with Allah; more solid as evidence, and more convenient to prevent doubts among yourselves, save when it is a present trade which you carry out on the spot among yourselves, then there is no sin on you if you do not write it down. But take witnesses whenever you make a commercial contract. Let neither scribe nor witness suffer any harm, but if you do (such harm), it would be wickedness in you. So be afraid of God; and God teaches you. And God is the All-Knower of each and everything.
Qur'an 2:223—Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth when or how you will, and send (good deeds, or ask Allah to bestow upon you pious offspring) before you for your ownselves. And fear Allah, and know that you are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give good tidings to the believers (O Muhammad).
Qur'an 4:34—Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom you fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them.
Sahih al-Bukhari 2658—The Prophet said: “Isn’t the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?” The women said: “Yes.” He said: “This is because of the deficiency of a woman’s mind.”
Sunan Abu Dawud 2159—Ibn Abbas said: Ibn Umar misunderstood (the Qur’anic verse, “so come to your tilth however you will”)—may Allah forgive him. The fact is that this clan of the Ansar who were idolaters lived in the company of the Jews who were the people of the Book. They (the Ansar) accepted their superiority over themselves in respect of knowledge, and they followed most of their actions. The people of the Book (i.e. the Jews) used to have intercourse with their women on one side alone (i.e. lying on their backs). This was the most concealing for (the vagina of) women. This clan of the Ansar adopted this practice from them. But this tribe of the Quraish used to uncover their women intensely, and seek pleasure with them from in front and behind and laying them on their backs. When the Muhajirun (the Immigrants) came to Medina, a man married a woman of the Ansar. He began to do the same kind of action with her, but she disliked it, and said to him: We were approached on one side (i.e. lying on back); do it so, otherwise keep away from me. This matter of theirs spread widely, and it reached the Apostle of Allah. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur’anic verse: “Your wives are a tilth to you, so come to your tilth however you will,” i.e. from in front, from behind or lying on the back. By this the verse meant the place of the delivery of the child, i.e. vagina.
Sunan Ibn Majah 1853—It was narrated that Abdullah bin Abu Awfa said: “When Mu’adh bin Jabal came from Sham, he prostrated to the Prophet, who said: “What is this, O Mu’adh?’ He said: ‘I went to Sham and saw them prostrating to their bishops and patricians (i.e. aristocrats), and I wanted to do that for you.’ The Messenger of Allah said: ‘Do not do that. If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone other than Allah, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands. By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad! No woman can fulfill her duty towards Allah until she fulfills her duty towards her husband. If he asks her (for intimacy) even if she is on her camel saddle, she should not refuse.’”
Jami at-Tirmidhi 1160—Talq bin Ali narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “When a man calls his wife to fulfill his need, then let her come, even if she is at the oven.”
Sahih al-Bukhari 5825—Narrated Ikrima: Rifaa divorced his wife whereupon Abdur-Rahman married her. Aisha said that the lady came wearing a green veil and complained to her (Aisha) and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating. It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah’s messenger came, Aisha said, “I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women. Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes!” When Abdur-Rahman heard that his wife had gone to the prophet, he came with his two sons from another wife. She said, “By Allah! I have done no wrong to him, but he is impotent and is as useless to me as this,” holding and showing the fringe of her garment. Abdur-Rahman said, “By Allah, O Allah’s messenger! She has told a lie. I am very strong and can satisfy her, but she is disobedient and wants to go back to Rifaa.” Allah's messenger said to her, “If that is your intention, then know that it is unlawful for you to remarry Rifaa unless Abdur-Rahman has had sexual intercourse with you.” The prophet saw two boys with Abdur-Rahman and asked (him), “Are these your sons?” On that Abdur-Rahman said, “Yes.” The prophet said, “You claim what you claim (that he is impotent)? But by Allah, these boys resemble him as a crow resembles a crow.”

ISIS Poster Girl Samra Kesinovic Beaten to Death for Trying to Escape
Sad. If Samra Kesinovic had heard the truth about Islam when she was growing up, she'd still be alive right now. Instead, the world praises Islam, as young girls head off to join ISIS.
To understand why certain people decide to wage jihad, watch this:Fox News—One of two Austrian teenagers dubbed "poster girls" for ISIS was beaten to death after she was caught trying to escape the terror group's de facto capital in Syria, according to published reports.
Samra Kesinovic before ISIS
Two Austrian newspapers reported Tuesday that Samra Kesinovic, 18, was murdered. One of the newspaper reports cited a Tunisian woman who lived with Kesinovic and her friend, Sabina Selimovic, before managing to escape.
The Austrian government declined to comment on the reports, with Foreign Ministry spokesman Thomas Schnoll saying, "We cannot comment on individual cases."
Kesinovic and Selimovic have now both been reported killed since they left their home city of Vienna to join ISIS in April 2014. Late last year, David Scharia, an expert on the U.N. Security Council's counterterrorism committee, said he had been told that one of the girls was killed during fighting in Syria, while the other had disappeared.
The Osterreich tabloid reported that Selimovic was killed in December of last year.
At the time of their disappearance, they left a note for their families saying "Don’t look for us. We will serve Allah and we will die for him." The Daily Telegraph reported that Kesinovic confirmed in a phone call to her sister that she had joined up with the terror group.
In October, it was reported that both girls had grown weary of ISIS' strict enforcement of Islamic law and had written to their families saying that they wanted to return home. The girls' families have made no public comment on the latest report of their deaths.
Both girls' families settled in Vienna after fleeing Bosnia-Herzegovina to escape that country's war during the 1990s. (Continue Reading.)

Muhammad Gets Caught with His Slave Girl! (David Wood vs. Shabir Ally)
Muhammad once got caught having sex with his slave girl, Mary the Copt, in the bed of his wife Hafsah. After being pressured by Hafsah and Aisha to stop having sex with his slave girl, Muhammad vowed that she was forbidden to him. Later, Muhammad received a "revelation" from Allah (Quran 66:1-2), telling him that his oath was voided and that he could continue having sex with Mary the Copt. Is it reasonable to believe that Allah was so concerned about Muhammad having sex with his slave girl that Allah included verses about it in his eternal Word (the Qur'an)? Would Allah be so obsessed with Muhammad's sex life that he would grant Muhammad the right to break his oaths? In this video, David Wood and Shabir Ally discuss the matter.

Does the Quran Limit Muslims to Four Wives? David Wood vs. Shabir Ally
According to standard interpretations of the Qur'an, Muslim men are allowed to have up to four wives (see Qur'an 4:3). However, Muslim sources such as Sahih al-Bukhari, the History of al-Tabari, etc., report that Muhammad had at least nine wives at one time. The most common Islamic response to this inconsistency is to note that Qur'an 33:50 gave Muhammad special permission to have as many wives as he wanted. If this is true, however, the Qur'an gave Muhammad special moral privileges, and how can we not be suspicious when a man receiving revelations gets more sexual partners than anyone else?
In this video, David Wood and Shabir Ally discuss whether the Qur'an limits Muslims to four wives. Wood assumes the typical Muslim view, while Ally claims that the Qur'an doesn't actually limit Muslims to four wives.

Escaped Yazidi Sex-Slave Describes Life in the Islamic State
One of ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's sex-slaves escaped and returned to her family. She is now telling the world what we already know: non-Muslim women under ISIS rule are brutally raped and beaten.
For more on women in Islam, watch this:(CNN)—When ISIS came for Zeinat and her family, they ran, terrified, for the safety of the mountains. They had heard the horror stories and knew only too well what might happen to them if they stayed in their home.
Zeinat, an Escaped Yazidi Sex-Slave
But they were too late; stranded at the foot of Iraq's Mount Sinjar by the huge crowds of refugees struggling uphill, they were easy pickings when fighters arrived.
Separated first from her father, and then from her sisters, she was forced -- like thousands of Yazidi women -- into slavery, treated as the property of the so-called "Islamic State."
Zeinat, though, wasn't working for ordinary rank-and-file ISIS militants; instead she was handpicked to serve terror boss Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and his family and friends.
Speaking exclusively to CNN, Zeinat (not her real name), 16, has told of how al-Baghdadi beat and mistreated her. She also says he raped American hostage Kayla Mueller, who was held captive by the group after being taken hostage in 2013.
"He treated us so badly," she says, her beautiful, expressive blue eyes peering out fearfully from behind a rust-red tasseled headscarf as she relates her harrowing ordeal at the hands of one of the world's most wanted men.
"He would always tell us: Forget your father and your brothers. We have killed them. And we have married off your mothers and sisters. Forget them."
Selected by the terrorist leader -- though she did not know who he was at the time -- at a slave market in "a white palace ... between the mountain and the sea," Zeinat and eight other girls were taken to his home in Raqqa, Syria, the de facto capital of ISIS' territory.
ISIS Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi
As soon as she arrived, she says, she was made to watch a video showing ISIS fighters beheading a Westerner and threatened with the same fate unless she agreed to abandon her Yazidi faith.
"There was a journalist, an American journalist, and there was a man dressed all in black," she remembers. "He killed the journalist. He beheaded him."
Zeinat's description matches widely circulated ISIS videos of the killings of James Foley, Steven Sotloff and other Western hostages.
"(Al-Baghdadi) showed us this on the laptop, and they said to me, 'If you don't convert to Islam, this will happen to you -- we will behead all of you,'" she recalls.
"'You have two choices,' they said. 'Convert to Islam. Or die like this.'"
The Yazidis, a small Iraqi minority who believe in a single god who created the Earth and left it in the care of a peacock angel, have been subjected to large-scale persecution by ISIS, which accuses them of devil worship.
ISIS militants have kidnapped, raped, tortured and massacred thousands of Yazidis; the United Nations has accused ISIS of committing genocide against them.
Al-Baghdadi and his family were constantly moving from one home to another, one town to the next, Zeinat says; the day after she arrived, an airstrike destroyed the house next door, forcing the entire household to pack up and move on.
Zeinat says she was beaten by al-Baghdadi, who insisted she and the other women "belonged" to ISIS, and taunted by his three wives and six children while cooking and cleaning for them.
In the face of such brutal abuse, she became determined to run away. On one occasion, she and others managed to steal the keys to the house they were being held in.
"We got the key and unlocked the door. We ran and ran ... we saw a house just outside Aleppo ... and there was an Arab woman. She said, 'Come in, come in. I will help you and bring you to Iraq.' ... She said ... she would help us, but then she called Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi."
She says ISIS militants -- and al-Baghdadi himself -- took retribution.
"They beat us all over our bodies," she recalls. "We were completely black from the beating. They beat us with everything: cables, belts and wooden sticks.
"(Al-Baghdadi) hit me (with a) garden hose and (a) belt. Then he slapped my face and my nose bled," she says, touching her left cheek to indicate where the blows fell.
Zeinat's arm was dislocated, she says: "Even now, when I carry something I still feel pain." Her friend suffered a broken bone in her face.
"Al-Baghdadi told us, 'We beat you because you ran away from us. We chose you to convert to our religion. We chose you. You belong to the Islamic State.'"
The former slave says she did not realize at the time who her captor was, only discovering his true identity once she had escaped: "I was so scared again, and very upset. I can't imagine he was the leader of ISIS. I was so frightened. He could have killed me."
Zeinat says that while in ISIS captivity she became close to U.S. hostage Kayla Mueller: "She was a friend, she was like a sister to me."
Zeinat says the pair met in a "jail" in Raqqa, where she was held as part of her punishment for trying to run away from al-Baghdadi's household.
"The first time I entered the room, I saw Kayla. I thought she was Yazidi, so I spoke in Kurdish to her. She told me, 'I don't understand,' so I spoke to her in Arabic. ... I told her I am a Yazidi girl from Sinjar and I was captured by Daesh (ISIS).'
Kayla Mueller
"After that we stayed together and became like sisters."
They were kept together at the jail for several weeks, Zeinat says.
"There was so little room (in the cell), and it was dark, with no power. It was summer and it was so hot," she says, explaining they were given bread and cheese in the morning, and rice or macaroni at night, "Just a little bit, and we were starving."
Later, Zeinat says, they were moved to a house belonging to Abu Sayyaf, a high-ranking ISIS fighter who U.S. officials say was in charge of ISIS's substantial oil revenues.
Mueller, she says, confided that she had been raped by al-Baghdadi.
"When Kayla came back to us (after being taken to see al-Baghdadi), we asked her, 'Why are you crying?' And Kayla told us al-Baghdadi said: 'I am going to marry you by force and you are going to be my wife. If you refuse, I will kill you.'
"Kayla told me specifically ... 'Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi raped me.' (She said he raped her) four times."
The humanitarian worker, who was captured in northern Syria in 2013, is believed to have been killed in February of this year. (Continue Reading.)

Afghanistan: Muslims Throw Acid in Girls' Faces for Going to School
In Afghanistan, girls are doused in acid for going to school. In America, politicians and the media bend over backwards to defend the ideology that calls for the oppression of women.
For more on women in Islam, watch this:Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN)—Attackers on a motorbike threw acid in the faces of three teenage girls on their way to school in Afghanistan's western Herat province on Saturday, an official told CNN.
Victims of an Acid Attack
The girls, age 16 to 18, are students at one of the biggest girls' schools in Herat city, the provincial capital, said Aziz-ul-Rahman Sarwary, head of the education department for the province.
All three girls were admitted to Noor hospital in Herat city before their parents took them elsewhere, said hospital head Jamal Abdul Naser Akhundzada.
Two of the girls were in critical condition after the acid was thrown in their faces, he said.
Akhundzada quoted the girls as saying that their assailants were two men on a motorbike.
"This is the punishment for going to school," the men told the girls after pouring the acid on them, according to Akhundzada. (Continue Reading.)

Fifteen More Pedophile Rape Jihadists Arrested in U.K.
The rape jihad continues in Great Britain. Of the fifteen Muslims arrested in the latest case, four are named Mohammed. Will there ever come a time when we can have an open, honest discussion about the treatment of non-Muslims in the Qur'an and Hadith?
Halifax Courier—Another 15 men have pleaded not guilty to historic sexual offences against a West Yorkshire schoolgirl following six others who denied charges involving her earlier this week.To understand the rape jihad in Great Britain, watch this:
A total of 25 men have been charged and 18 of the defendants attended Leeds Crown Court yesterday(wed) for plea and case management hearings. The charges were not put to three of them at the request of their counsel.
One man from Halifax also denied an offence against a second girl, the only charge involving her.
The defendants have been split into groups and at least four separate trials are due to be held next year. A court order is in place preventing publication of the full addresses of any defendants.
Mohammed Ramzan, 34, from Bradford denied three charges, trafficking the schoolgirl complainant for sexual exploitation on April 11, 2011 by arranging or facilitating travel within the UK, raping her between April 10 and April 13, 2011 and conspiring with Khalid Zaman to engage in sexual activity with a child.
Zaman, 37, also from Bradford denied conspiracy with Ramzan to engage in sexual activity, two charges of raping the girl on April 12, 2011 and supplying her with the drug mephedrone on April 11 that year.
Hedar Ali, 35 from Nantwich, Cheshire pleaded not guilty to four charges, they were two alleged offences of trafficking the girl for sexual exploitation between 10 June and 21 July 2011 by arranging or facilitating travel for her within the UK and two charges of raping her.
Mohammed Janjuha, 34, from Bradford pleaded not guilty to raping the girl between July 20, 2009 and 21 July, 2011.
They are due to be among defendants in the third trial next year.
Tahir Mahmood, 42 from Halifax who denied two charges of sexual activity with a child involving the same schoolgirl and a further charge of sexual assault on another girl will be among defendants in the second trial.
Other defendants on that trial include Tauqeer Butt, 30 from Halifax who denied four charges of sexual activity with a child between 20 July 2009 and 21 July 2011.
Haaris Ahmed, 31 from Halifax who denied two charges of sexual activity with a child under 16 between July 20 2009 and 21 July 2011 and denied one charge of supplying her with cannabis but admitted a second.
Arshad Majid, 25 from Shipley and Christopher Mulqueen Bennett, 36 of Gwent, Newport who each pleaded not guilty to one charge of sexual activity with a child between 20 July 2009 and 21 July 2011.
Zameer Asif, 25 from Halifax sexual activity with a child between June 1 and December 31, 2010.
Azeem Subhani, 24 from Halifax denied two charges of sexual activity with the schoolgirl as did Amaar Ali Ditta, 26, also from Halifax.
Mohammed Ali Ahmed, 42 and Sikander Malik, 30, both from Halifax each denied one charge of sexual activity with the schoolgirl.
Talib Sadiq, 30 of Halifax denied two charges of sexual activity with a child between 20 July 2010 and 21 July 2011 when the girl was 15.
Charges were not put to Mohammed Askar 32, from Bradford, Atif Ali, 32 and Haider Ali, 40 from Halifax. (Continue Reading.)

Islamic State Offering Sex Slaves as Prizes in Quran Reciting Contests
Muhammad allowed his followers to rape their female captives, and sex slaves were awarded to soldiers following a battle. The Islamic State is now offering sex slaves as prizes in Qur'an recitation contests. Is it any coincidence that sex slaves would be offered to the best reciters of the book that promotes sex slavery?
Fox News—ISIS has already committed countless unspeakable acts on Yazidi and Christian girls and women in Iraq, but the terrorist army may have reached a new low with a twisted new contest in which female slaves captured in war are given away as "prizes" to fighters who show they have mastered the Koran. For more on women in Islam watch this short video:
The shocking practice of giving away human beings as prizes, called "sibya," was organized by the Da'wa and Mosques Department in Al-Baraka province in Syria in honor of the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan and was announced June 19 on ISIS Twitter accounts, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute and the Clarion Project, two independent research institutes that track social media accounts linked to terrorist groups.
An announcement on Twitter "begins with congratulations to ISIS soldiers and departments in the province upon the beginning of the month of Ramadan," MEMRI wrote, "It then announces the upcoming Koran memorization competition, at which it says participants will be tested and given prizes accordingly."
The statement lists the prizes planned for the top ten competitors, with the top three to each be awarded a female slave: 'Winner of the first place [will be granted] (sibya) [a female slave who was captured at war],'" the translation by MEMRI read.
The contest in Syria plays upon two major ISIS themes, said Ryan Mauro, national security analyst for the New York-based Clarion Project: They are the ones who most closely follow "true" Islam and the Islamic State is a “legitimate” state. The contest and its underlying competition demonstrate that fighters are studying the Koran, and that ISIS is not affected by international condemnation.
“By showcasing its slavery, ISIS is boasting that it practices Islam in its most literal interpretation, doesn't capitulate to public opinion and rejects modern interpretations,” Mauro said. “It is also showing it has a functional Islamic educational system and therefore is a real caliphate.” (Continue Reading.)

Aisha Describes the Treatment of Women in Islam
Muslims in the West often claim that Islam promotes women's rights. Muhammad's wife Aisha, however, said that she never saw any woman suffer as much as Muslim women.
Here's the passage:
For more on women in Islam, watch these videos:
Here's the passage:
But by Allah, these boys resemble him as a crow resembles a crow.”Notice that the story is about a woman whose Muslim husband beat her until her skin turned green. Aisha takes the woman to Muhammad, hoping that he would deal with the problem. But instead of punishing or even rebuking the woman's husband, Muhammad instead criticizes the woman who was being beaten. No wonder Aisha says that Muslim women are treated worse than pagan women.

CAIR Official Ahmad Saleem Arrested in Pedophile Sting
Muhammad had sex with a nine-year-old girl, and he allowed his followers to rape their female captives. We've seen the horrifying results of Muhammad's example and teachings in Great Britain (not to mention in Iraq, Syria, and Nigeria). Now we're seeing the results in the U.S.
Ahmad Saleem is the Orlando Regional Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). He attended the University of Central Florida, where he was President of the Muslim Students Association. He later became the MSA National Service Director before founding the Saleem Academy. Here's his description on the Saleem Academy's site (deleted following his arrest on pedophilia charges):
A simple Google search shows that Saleem is still listed in search engines as a CAIR representative:
Even worse, Google archived the site only three days ago:
Look who was listed only three days ago as CAIR's Orlando representative:
Since the sting began on May 18th, and Saleem was part of the "phase one" arrests, he had obviously already been arrested when he was still listed as a CAIR representative on May 31st.
Nice try, CAIR. But instead of lying in an effort to protect your reputation, perhaps you should focus on dealing with Islam's depraved teachings about non-Muslim girls. In fact, I'd like to see you even address Muhammad's teachings about Muslim girls:

Here's his description on the Saleem Academy's site (deleted following his arrest on pedophilia charges):
Ahmad Saleem is a passionate community organizer and educator based in the sunny city of Orlando, FL.Since he blames "Islamophobia" for his "identity crisis," perhaps he will blame "Islamophobia" for his arrest as well.
When he was in high school, he went through a lot of inner struggles, a big part of which were sparked due to a deep identity crisis that was partially sparked by the islamophobic climate in America post-911.
Through the grace of The Most Generous and through many patient years of soul-searching, Ahmad not only was pulled out of those dark days of his life, but also transformed and was trained and blossomed into a promising community leader, activist, and teacher.
Pakistani by origin, yet raised in America, he currently holds his Bachelors in Psychology, and has studied under scholars like Imam Tariq Rasheed, Sh. Abdullah Deeb, Sh. Ahmed Harara, Sh. Ibrahim Habash, Mufti Minhajuddin Ahmed, Mufti Ehzaz Ajmeri, Mufti Azeemuddin, Molana Noorudeen Ghauri, Molana Ihtiram, Sh Uthman Khan, & Qari Mohammed Fazl-ur-Rehman Ahsan Nadwi. He has partaken in Zaytuna, Almaghrib, and Bayyinah educational services as well as conducted his own seminars and teachings too. He looks up to Malcolm X and Shaykh Hamza Yusuf in the West and Salahudeen Ayubi and A’llamah Muhammad Iqbal in the East as role models.
He has dedicated his life to God and to empowering others to God through God, and for Saleem Academy that translates into him and his team empowering Muslim Youth across the globe. Please pray for his success and the success of all the community servants of God around the world.
Orlando Sentinel—Orlando community activist Ahmad Saleem drove to a Clermont-area house intending to meet a 12-year-old girl he had been chatting with online for sex in a vehicle with a specialty "Invest in Children" license plate, authorities said Tuesday.Notice that CAIR officials are trying to distance themselves from Saleem by claiming that he is no longer Orlando Regional Coordinator. These officials apparently think that by taking down Saleem's page from their site, they can trick us into believing that Saleem "only worked there for a short time before abandoning his post." However, a little detective work reveals the truth.
But when the door opened, there were no children in sight. Instead, detectives quickly brought Saleem to the ground and arrested him. Saleem, founder of the Saleem Academy, an organization dedicated to empowering Muslim youths globally, was one of the 101 people arrested in an undercover cybercrime prostitution and child-sex sting by the Lake and Polk county sheriff's offices.
Lake County Sheriff Gary Borders and Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd spelled out details of the two-week sting, which started on May 18, at a Tavares news conference surrounded by large boards filled with suspects' mug shots. Seventy-nine people were busted in the prostitution operation and 22 in the child-sex sting, officials said.
"Central Florida is now a safer place today because of the efforts of our deputies," Borders said.
Ahmad Saleem
He said the operation — dubbed "L & P" for "Lake" and "Polk" — used chat rooms and online forums to identify people seeking illicit sex. The first phase targeted people looking to have sex with minors from 10 to 14. Among those arrested was Saleem, 22, who faces felony charges for traveling to seduce or solicit a child to commit a sex act.
A Polk County sheriff's detective posed as a girl online and talked with Saleem, who said he wanted to have sex with the girl and then traveled to Lake County for an expected meeting, authorities said.
Saleem was also the Orlando regional coordinator for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a nonprofit organization dedicated to challenging stereotypes of Islam and Muslims and defending civil liberties. The organization said he only worked there for a short time before abandoning his post. (Continue Reading.)

Victim of Hundreds of Islamic Rape Attacks Shares Story
Nicola was raped by hundreds of Muslims. Not in Iraq or Syria. She was raped in Great Britain. When she reported the rapes to police, she was told that, if she testified in court, police would not protect her. Hence, she has never testified.
With her own government unwilling to protect her, the only thing Nicola can do is share her story (original at Gates of Vienna).
With her own government unwilling to protect her, the only thing Nicola can do is share her story (original at Gates of Vienna).
Nicola’s StoryTo understand Islamic rape gangs, watch this:
My name is Nicola. I was almost 14 when it started happening to me. It all began with the promise of a modelling job.
I wasn’t a particularly confident girl. When Daniel, the photographer, asked me to do some glamour modelling for him I was flattered and thought it might be fun. Modelling can seem like easy money. Get dressed up and smile for the camera — what’s hard about that?
He came to my home one morning while my parents were working. My younger brother was at school and we had the house to ourselves. He started by taking regular pictures of me, then, by stages, asking me to remove more and more clothing. Eventually he said that we needed new scenery and asked if there was a bedroom we were able to use. I was a bit taken aback as I wasn’t expecting to have to use a bedroom.
I took him to my parents’ room, as mine was a mess — full of Disney toys and babyish things. He continued taking pictures, eventually asking me to strip to my underwear. That’s when I knew something wasn’t right. I was shaky and scared, but I did as I was told. More photos were taken.
Suddenly I heard the front door being unlocked and opened, followed by some voices. My brother and his friends had come home during the school lunch break. I panicked and jumped up, running to the door and holding it shut, shouting to my brother that I had just got out of the bath and for him not to come upstairs.
When I turned around, Daniel had taken off his clothes. I had never seen a naked man before. I froze and felt myself going red with embarrassment. He told me to get on the bed and be quiet or my brother would hear, and if my brother heard then my parents would find out what I had been up to and they’d be angry.
Daniel raped me, and laughed when he realised that I was a virgin. When he was finished he threw a £10 note down and told me to get some nice underwear. He kissed my cheek and told me he’d be in touch.
He kept his promise. He was in touch, constantly. He started asking me to do favours for his friends, threatening to show my parents the pictures he had taken of me if I refused. I continued to do what he told me to for a long time.
When I started to object and tell him I didn’t care who he showed the pictures to, he began beating me to make me do as I was told. When my mum eventually found out what was happening, she called the police. They weren’t very helpful at all. They told my mum that I was a known prostitute, and that she should leave me to it, and that I would stop when I was ready. I was 15 at the time.
The police knew what was happening to me long before my mum did. The officer who was sent to take my statement was a tall and intimidating man. He asked me to go into very intimate details of what had happened to me. I was very upset, but he told me that I’d have to get used to his line of questioning, and that this is what I would have to deal with in court. He was very aggressive and seemed angry. He told me he couldn’t offer me any protection if I testified in court, and for that reason I never testified against my rapists. His attitude and manner put me off ever considering contacting the police for help again.
Instead, I contacted medical professionals, some of whom didn’t believe me. By the time I was 16 I had moved into a youth hostel, because Muslim men would turn up at my home and hang around outside in cars. Sometimes they’d even knock at the door in groups. Men in their 20s, 40s, and 50s. They didn’t care what anyone thought of them, they just wanted their depraved sexual needs satisfied. They didn’t care who was home. They hung around outside my school, and they followed me around like dogs. They threatened to hurt my family if I didn’t co-operate with them. They said they would pour acid down my throat if I told anyone about their threats.
As a result of all this, I started to harm myself in a bid to make myself less attractive to men. I did it on a daily basis, covering myself with hundreds of cuts. It eventually became a comfort and a release and a punishment rolled into one. These Muslim men made me feel bad, dirty, worthless and ashamed. They made me hate myself and what I’d become. I was 16.
I’ve tried to commit suicide multiple times because I could see no escape from them. Things went from bad to worse after I moved into the hostel. I was seeing up to eight men every hour or two, one after the other, some waiting in line and coming back for seconds. I wasn’t allowed to leave the bed or use the toilet or wash myself until they were finished with me. None of them used protection.
Most days I would be called on in the morning, the afternoon, and the evening. It was never just once a day I was needed. And it was never individual men. They always operated in groups. They didn’t care if I was sore or crying or bleeding. They would just laugh and carry on.
I contracted several STIs as a result of the unprotected rapes. Treating them was pointless as I kept contracting them over and over again. There was a point, very briefly, at which I did feel the men were taking care of me. They fed me, gave me drink, and forced me to take drugs. That doesn’t look like care-giving to anyone with good self-esteem, but I didn’t have any, and so the slightest bit of care was welcome and seemed nice.
I was adrift with no one to care for me and no way out of the violence and the threats put to me by these Muslim men. They have hurt and humiliated me. I’ve been raped with a knife at my throat, a drill taken to my kneecaps, kicked, slapped, punched, gang-raped, bottled. And all of it topped off, yet again, by more rapes.
These men are predators. They recognise me on the street today and they ask me to help them find young girls. They’re sick and depraved and lack the maturity to go after real women. Any woman in her right mind would refuse these men.
They say things to me like, “I remember picking you up from school. Your [breasts] look the same today as they did when you were 14.” One of them told me how he raped a 13-year-old girl I know in a hotel, keeping her there all night and raping her in every orifice. They tell me of other horrific things they’ve done to women, including their wives. They talk and laugh about these things among themselves as though it were a normal conversation.
I’ve been offered money to marry men in order to get them into this country. The list of atrocities is long and I’ll leave it there.
I’m not the only girl this is happening to. There are very many who will never tell their tales. A vast majority of Muslim males are getting away with these crimes, even the ones who have been reported. The tragedy is that the girls are the ones who are being blamed. They were out after dark. They were mature for their years. They were street-smart. They’re trouble. No one cares about them. They’re from a broken home. They’re runaways and they’ll just run away again. Why bother? We mustn’t state the obvious, that these men are predominantly Pakistani Muslims.
Not every Muslim is a rapist, but I can tell you I have been raped by hundreds of men, and 98 percent of them have been Pakistani Muslims. That is a fact that has come to light up and down Britain. All of the court records, all of the social service accounts, all of the police reports very clearly support this. You cannot argue with facts. (Source)

British Police Ignore Woman Raped by More Than 80 Muslims
Muhammad allowed his followers to rape female captives (click here for sources).
Thanks to Muhammad's teachings, there are places where British women can't get into a cab without seeing a Muslim man who has raped them. One victim reports: "All the taxi drivers in my city are members of the Muslim rape gangs." British police still refuse to deal with the problem, for fear of being labeled "Islamophobes."
Notice that CAIR is working towards the same goal in the U.S. By manipulating people into being terrified of ever questioning Islam, CAIR is setting the stage for future abuse.

Pamela Geller—After awhile, the worst thing was not what happened for me – as horrifying as it was, I got used to it. What was worst for me was seeing the other girls they did this to. I was used to it, but they weren’t.To understand the spread of Islamic rape gangs in Great Britain, watch this:
The Muslim gangs preyed on orphan girls who lived at a children’s home. These girls were 12 years old and even younger than that.
They would come and get me and I would go – I didn’t know what else I could do, I was frightened. They would show up in two cars, and often pick up other girls from the youth home.
One night, some of the girls from the children’s home and I were taken to a car park at one o’clock in the morning. Twenty Muslim men were waiting for us there. One of the girls from the home started crying, saying it was late and she had to get back to the youth home. One of the Muslims came over and slapped her hard in the face and told her they would decide when she went home, she wouldn’t, and that she better shut up.
And so you learned to be quiet and just go along.
Eventually that youth home got shut down: A whistleblower got sick of the cover-up that was going on there. The manager of the home, instead of reporting what was going on to the police, was giving the girls pills to keep them calm and docile.
Now some of these girls are suing the police through legal aid. I still see some of them around. I saw one of them in April, not long after I arrived back in the country. I had fled Britain after I ran into one of the Muslim gang members, and he started to ask me about my preteen daughter.
I thought then that the only way I could keep my daughter safe was to leave the country. But when I came to the country where I had hoped to settle, the authorities told me that I couldn’t stay there. They wouldn’t give me protection because I was English and white; they wouldn’t offer me refugee status or any of the protection they give to Muslims who say they’re fleeing war zones.
So after seven months there, I had to return to Britain. Now whenever I have to go to the city center, I wear a hoodie. All the taxi drivers in my city are members of the Muslim rape gangs. I change my hair color frequently and do everything I can to try to keep them from recognizing me.
I remember once I was in a taxi and the driver started speaking to me about a very young girl I knew. She was only 11 or 12 years old. He started telling me all the terrible things he had done to her. He said he took her to a hotel, used her all night, and then let her go at 4 o’clock in the morning.
That was the man who started asking about my daughter. (Continue Reading.)

Muhammad Compares Aisha to a Good Meal
Muhammad had at least nine wives at one time. His favorite wife, however, was Aisha. While describing his fondness for Aisha, Muhammad declared that Aisha was better than other women in the way al-tharid (his favorite meal) was better than other meals. (For more on Muhammad and Aisha, click here.)
Here are the sources quoted in this video:
Sahih al-Bukhari 5158—The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).
Sahih Muslim 3480—It was narrated that Aishah said: “The Prophet married me when I was six years old, and consummated the marriage with me when I was nine years old.”
Sahih Muslim 3481—It was narrated from Aishah that the Prophet married her when she was seven years old and she was taken to him as a bride when she was nine years old, and she took her dolls with her. He died when she was eighteen years old.
Sahih al-Bukhari 5068—The Prophet used to go round (have sexual relations with) all his wives in one night, and he had nine wives.
Sahih al-Bukhari 268—Anas bin Malik said, “The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number.” I asked Anas, “Had the Prophet the strength for it?” Anas replied, “We used to say that the Prophet was given the strength of thirty (men).” And Sa’id said on the authority of Qatada that Anas had told him about nine wives only (not eleven).
History of al-Tabari, Volume 9, p. 139—She went back to her people and said that the Messenger of God had married her. They said, “What a bad thing you have done! You are a self-respecting woman, but the Prophet is a womanizer. Seek an annulment from him.” She went back to the Prophet and asked him to revoke the marriage and he complied with her request.
Sahih al-Bukhari 5080—Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: When I got married, Allah's Messenger said to me, "What type of lady have you married?" I replied, "I have married a matron.' He said, "Why, don't you have a liking for the virgins and for fondling them?" Jabir also said: Allah's Messenger said, "Why didn't you marry a young girl so that you might play with her and she with you?"
Sahih al-Bukhari 3411—Allah’s Messenger said, “Many amongst men reached (the level of) perfection but none amongst the women reached this level except Asiya, Pharaoh’s wife: and Mary, the daughter of Imran. And no doubt, the superiority of Aishah to other women is like the superiority of tharid (i.e., a meat and bread dish) to other meals.”

Lindsay Lohan, the Qur'an, and Women in Islam
Earlier this year, Lindsay Lohan posted Qur'an verses on Instagram:
More recently, she was seen carrying a copy of the Qur'an:
Since Lindsay is probably new to Islam, I thought I'd help her by providing a brief outline of Islam's teachings about women.
FACT #1: The Qur’an allows (or, perhaps, commands) men to beat their wives into subservience. If a wife doesn’t listen to her husband, the husband should admonish her. If that doesn’t work, he is to make her sleep in a separate bed. However, if the wife still doesn’t respect her husband’s authority, the husband is told to physically abuse her:

Since Lindsay is probably new to Islam, I thought I'd help her by providing a brief outline of Islam's teachings about women.
FACT #1: The Qur’an allows (or, perhaps, commands) men to beat their wives into subservience. If a wife doesn’t listen to her husband, the husband should admonish her. If that doesn’t work, he is to make her sleep in a separate bed. However, if the wife still doesn’t respect her husband’s authority, the husband is told to physically abuse her:
Qur'an 4:34—Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret what Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High Exalted, Great.FACT #2: According to Muhammad, women lack common sense because their minds are deficient:
Sahih Muslim 142—[Muhammad said]: O womenfolk, you should give charity and ask much forgiveness for I saw you in bulk amongst the dwellers of Hell. A wise lady among them said: Why is it, Messenger of Allah, that our folk is in bulk in Hell? Upon this the Holy Prophet observed: You curse too much and are ungrateful to your spouses. I have seen none lacking in common sense and failing in religion but (at the same time) robbing the wisdom of the wise, besides you. Upon this the woman remarked: What is wrong with our common sense and with religion? He (the Holy Prophet) observed: Your lack of common sense (can be well judged from the fact) that the evidence of two women is equal to one man, that is a proof of the lack of common sense.FACT #3: Muhammad offered women little hope for the afterlife. Indeed, he clearly states that most of the inhabitants of hell are women who were ungrateful to their husbands (though he never suggests that ungrateful husbands will receive similar punishment). This means that, after being admonished, banished to a separate bed, and beaten by her husband, a willful woman can look forward to an eternity in hell:
Sahih Al-Bukhari 2658—The Prophet said: "Isn’t the witness of a woman equal to half of that of a man?" The women said: "Yes." He said: "This is because of the deficiency of her mind."
Sahih Al-Bukhari 1052—The Prophet said: "I saw paradise and stretched my hands towards a bunch (of its fruits) and had I taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world remains. I also saw the Hell-fire and I had never seen such a horrible sight. I saw that most of the inhabitants were women." The people asked: "O Allah’s Apostle! Why is it so?" The Prophet said: "Because of their ungratefulness." It was asked whether they are ungrateful to Allah. The Prophet said: "They are ungrateful to their companions of life (husbands) and ungrateful to good deeds."However, even if these women were to stop cursing and to start thanking their husbands, their prospects for the afterlife would still leave much to be desired. According to Muhammad, Muslim women can look forward to an eternity of standing in corners, waiting for men to come and have sex with them:
Sahih Al-Bukhari 1462—[Muhammad said], "O women! Give to charity, for I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-Fire were women." The women asked, "O Allah’s Apostle! What is the reason for it?" He said: "O women! You curse frequently, and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. O women, some of you can lead a cautious man astray."
Sahih Al-Bukhari 4879—Allah’s Apostle said: "In Paradise there is a pavilion made of a single hollow pearl sixty miles wide, in each corner of which there are wives who will not see those in the other corners; and the believers will visit and enjoy them."FACT #4: The Qur’an permits Muslims to have sex with their female captives and slaves (i.e. those "whom their right hands possess"). As the Muslim armies raided town after town, they captured many women, who would often be sold or traded. Yet, since the Muslim men were a long way from their wives, they needed wisdom from Allah to guide them in their treatment of their female captives:
Qur’an 23:1-6—The Believers must (eventually) win through—Those who humble themselves in their prayers; who avoid vain talk; who are active in deeds of charity; who abstain from sex, except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess—for (in their case) they are free from blame. The Muslim practice of having sex with captured women is reported often in the Hadith, where we find Muslims perplexed about what to do with their captives. It wasn’t long before Allah sent a revelation allowing the confused soldiers to sleep with the women:
Qur'an 70:22-30—Not so those devoted to Prayer—Those who remain steadfast to their prayer; and those in whose wealth is a recognized right for the (needy) who asks and him who is prevented (for some reason from asking); and those who hold to the truth of the Day of Judgement; and those who fear the displeasure of their Lord—For their Lord’s displeasure is the opposite of Peace and Tranquility—and those who guard their chastity, except with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess—For (then) they are not to be blamed.
Sahih Muslim 3432—Allah’s Messenger sent an army to Autas and encountered the enemy and fought with them. Having overcome them and taken them captives, the Companions of Allah’s Messenger seemed to refrain from having intercourse with captive women because of their husbands being polytheists. Then Allah, Most High, sent down regarding that: "And women already married, except those whom your right hands possess (4:24)" (i.e. they were lawful for them when their Idda period came to an end).FACT #5: Islam promotes sex with prepubescent girls.
Sahih Muslim 3371—We went out with Allah’s Messenger on the expedition to the Bi’l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing azl (withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid conception). But we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah’s Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him? So we asked Allah’s Messenger, and he said: It does not matter if you do not do it, for every soul that is to be born up to the Day of Resurrection will be born.
Sahih Al-Bukhari 4138—We went out with Allah’s Apostle for the invasion of Bun Al-Mustaliq and we received captives from among the Arab captives and we desired women and celibacy became hard on us and we loved to do coitus interruptus [same as "azl" above]. So when we intended to do coitus interruptus, we said: "How can we do coitus interruptus before asking Allah’s Apostle who is present among us? We asked (him) about it and he said: "It is better for you not to do so, for if any soul till the Day of Resurrection is predestined to exist, it will exist."
Sahih Muslim 3384—Jabir bin Abdullah reported that a person asked Allah’s Apostle saying: I have a slave-girl and I practice azl with her, whereupon Allah’s Messenger said: This cannot prevent that which Allah has decreed. The person then came (after some time) and said: Messenger of Allah, the slave-girl about whom I talked to you has conceived, whereupon Allah’s Messenger said: I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger.
According to Islam's most trusted sources, Muhammad had sex with his child-bride Aisha when she was only nine years old:
Sahih al-Bukhari 3896—Narrated Hisham’s father: Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Al-Madina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he wrote the marriage (wedding) contract with Aishah when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consummated that marriage when she was nine years old.The Qur'an justifies the marriage by declaring that Muslim men are allowed to have sex with prepubescent girls. According to Surah 2:228, if a Muslim man wants to divorce his wife, he should wait until she has gone through three monthly cycles (i.e., three periods) in order to make sure that she isn't pregnant. But the question later arose: What about wives who do not have monthly cycles? How long should their husbands wait to divorce them? The Qur'an answers this question in Surah 65:4, where it gives divorce rules for (1) women who do not have monthly cycles because they are too old, (2) girls who do not have monthly cycles because they are too young, and (3) women and girls who do not have monthly cycles because they are pregnant. The verse declares that, if Muslim men want to divorce girls who haven't yet reached puberty, they must wait three months (after having sex with them). The verse reads:
Sahih al-Bukhari 5158—Narrated Urwa: The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).
Sahih Muslim 3310—Aisha reported: Allah’s Apostle married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house when I was nine years old.
Sahih Muslim 3311—Aisha reported that Allah’s Apostle married her when she was seven years old, and she was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her; and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old.
Sunan Abu Dawud 2116—Aishah said: The Apostle of Allah married me when I was seven years old. (The narrator Sulaiman said: Or six years.) He had intercourse with me when I was nine years old.
Qur'an 65:4—And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the 'Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubts (about their periods), is three months, and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their 'Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise, except in case of death]. And for those who are pregnant (whether they are divorced or their husbands are dead), their 'Iddah (prescribed period) is until they deliver (their burdens), and whosoever fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him.In case there is confusion about the meaning of this verse, here are three classic Muslim commentaries on 65:4:
Tafsir Ibn Kathir—Allah the Exalted clarifies the waiting period of the woman in menopause. And that is the one whose menstruation has stopped due to her older age. Her Iddah is three months instead of the three monthly cycles for those who menstruate, which is based upon the Ayah in (Surat) Al-Baqarah [see 2:228]. The same for the young, who have not reached the years of menstruation. Their `Iddah is three months like those in menopause.Hence, if Lindsay Lohan wants to be a sincere Muslimah, she will need to acknowledge (1) that husbands must beat rebellious wives into submission, (2) that women are intellectually inferior to men, (3) that women's prospects of reaching paradise are slim, (4) that Muslim men are free to rape their female captives, and (5) that it is perfectly acceptable for grown men to have sex with prepubescent girls. If Lindsay is willing to grant (1)-(5), she may actually have enough faith to be a Muslim.
Tafsir al-Jalalayn—And [as for] those of your women who (read allà 'ï or allà 'i in both instances) no longer expect to menstruate, if you have any doubts, about their waiting period, their prescribed [waiting] period shall be three months, and [also for] those who have not yet menstruated, because of their young age, their period shall [also] be three months.
Tafsir Ibn Abbas—(And for such of your women as despair of menstruation) because of old age, (if ye doubt) about their waiting period, (their period (of waiting) shall be three months) upon which another man asked: “O Messenger of Allah! What about the waiting period of those who do not have menstruation because they are too young?” (along with those who have it not) because of young age, their waiting period is three months.
