I. NO BEARER OF BURDEN SHALL BEAR ANOTHER’S BURDEN

Qur’an 6:164—Say, “Shall I seek a Lord, other than Allah while He is the Lord of all things?” And no soul earns evil but only against itself; nor does any bearer of burden bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord will be your return, and He will inform you of that wherein you used to differ.

Qur’an 17:13-15—And We have fastened every man's deeds to his neck, and on the Day of Resurrection, We shall bring out for him a book which he will find wide open. (It will be said to him): “Read your book. You yourself are sufficient as a reckoner against you this Day.” Whoever goes right, then he goes right only for the benefit of his own self. And whoever goes astray, then he goes astray to his own loss. No one laden with burdens can bear another's burden. And We never punish until We have sent a Messenger (to give warning).

Qur’an 35:18—And no bearer of burdens shall bear another's burden, and if one heavily laden calls another to (bear) his load, nothing of it will be lifted even though he be near of kin.

Qur’an 39:7—If you disbelieve, then verily, Allah is not in need of you, He likes not disbelief for His slaves. And if you are grateful (by being believers), He is pleased therewith for you. No bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, so He will inform you what you used to do. Verily, He is the All-Knower of that which is in (men's) breasts.

Qur’an 53:33-42—Have you then seen him who turns his back? And gives a little and (then) withholds. Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another - And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for - And that his striving shall soon be seen - Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward - And that to your Lord is the goal . . . ?

II. SOME BURDEN BEARERS WILL BEAR THE BURDENS OF OTHERS

Qur’an 16:22-25—Your God is one God; so (as for) those who do not believe in the hereafter, their hearts are ignorant and they are proud. Truly Allah knows what they hide and what they manifest; surely He does not love the proud. And when it is said to them, what is it that your Lord has revealed? They say: Stories of the ancients; That they may bear their burdens entirely on the day of resurrection and also of the burdens of those whom they lead astray without knowledge; now surely evil is what they bear.

Qur’an 29:12-13—And those who disbelieve say to those who believe: “Follow our way and we will verily bear your sins,” never will they bear anything of their sins. Surely, they are liars. And verily, they shall bear their own loads, and other loads besides their own, and verily, they shall be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about that which they used to fabricate.

III. CHRISTIANS AND JEWS WILL BEAR THE BURDENS OF MUSLIMS

Sahih Muslim 6665—Abu Musa reported that Allah's Messenger said: When it will be the Day of Resurrection Allah would deliver to every Muslim a Jew or a Christian and say: That is your rescue from Hell-Fire.

Sahih Muslim 6666—Allah’s Apostle said: No Muslim would die but Allah would admit in his stead a Jew or a Christian in Hell-Fire.

Sahih Muslim 6668—Allah’s Messenger [said]: There would come people amongst the Muslims on the Day of Resurrection with as heavy sins as a mountain, and Allah would forgive them and He would place in their stead the Jews and the Christians.

110 Hadith Qudsi—Allah’s Messenger said: On the Day of Resurrection, my Ummah (nation) will be gathered into three groups. One sort will enter Paradise without rendering an account (of their deeds). Another sort will be reckoned an easy account and admitted into Paradise. Yet another sort will come bearing on their backs heaps of sins like great mountains. Allah will ask the angels though He knows best about them: Who are these people? They will reply: They are humble slaves of yours. He will say: Unload the sins from them and put the same over the Jews and Christians: then let the humble slaves get into Paradise by virtue of My Mercy.

I would question the wisdom of putting a Muslim in charge of efforts to stop Muslim terrorists, but even more, I would question the constant complaining about Islamophobia in America. This is a country where a Muslim can become a CIA chief. How intolerant and bigoted can we be?

WASHINGTON POST--For every cloud of smoke that follows a CIA drone strike in Pakistan, dozens of smaller plumes can be traced to a gaunt figure standing in a courtyard near the center of the agency’s Langley campus in Virginia.

The man with the nicotine habit is in his late 50s, with stubble on his face and the dark-suited wardrobe of an undertaker. As chief of the CIA’s Counterterrorism Center for the past six years, he has functioned in a funereal capacity for al-Qaeda.

Roger, which is the first name of his cover identity, may be the most consequential but least visible national security official in Washington — the principal architect of the CIA’s drone campaign and the leader of the hunt for Osama bin Laden. In many ways, he has also been the driving force of the Obama administration’s embrace of targeted killing as a centerpiece of its counterterrorism efforts.

Colleagues describe Roger as a collection of contradictions. A chain-smoker who spends countless hours on a treadmill. Notoriously surly yet able to win over enough support from subordinates and bosses to hold on to his job. He presides over a campaign that has killed thousands of Islamist militants and angered millions of Muslims, but he is himself a convert to Islam. (Read more.)

Islamic Bookstore Sells out of Violently Misogynistic "A Gift for the Muslim Couple"

It's no secret that the Qur'an allows men to beat their wives into submission.

Qur'an 4:34—Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.

It's also no secret that some Muslims try to live their lives according to Islamic principles rather than Western values. Hence the popularity of a Muslim book that explains how to discipline unruly wives.

TORONTO - A local bookstore has “sold out” of a controversial marriage guide that advises Muslim men on how to beat their wives.

The 160-page book, published by Idara Impex in New Delhi, India, is written by Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi, who’s described in the book’s foreword as a “prolific writer on almost every topic of Islamic learning.”

The store’s manager, who didn’t give his name, said the book had been sold out for some time, and the store’s owner, whom the manager identified as Shamim Ahmad, refused to comment for the story.

It wasn’t clear whether the shop has ordered more copies of the book, but it’s available at online Islamic bookstores and even through eBay.

In the book’s opening pages, it is written that “it might be necessary to restrain her with strength or even to threaten her.”

Later, its author advises that “the husband should treat the wife with kindness and love, even if she tends to be stupid and slow sometimes.”

Page 45 contains the rights of the husband, which include his wife’s inability to leave “his house without his permission,” and that his wife must “fulfil his desires” and “not allow herself to be untidy ... but should beautify herself for him ... ”

In terms of physical punishment, the book advises that a husband may scold her, “beat by hand or stick,” withhold money from her or “pull (her) by the ears,” but should “refrain from beating her excessively.”

Moderate Muslim voice Tarek Fatah says the shopkeeper should be charged for selling such a book.

“I wouldn’t say it’s hate, but it is inciting men to hit women,” said Fatah, who identified the book’s author as a prominent Islamic scholar. “This is new to you, but the Muslim community knows that this is widespread, that a woman can be beaten. Muslim leaders will deny this, but... ” (Read more.)

I hate to break this to everyone, but if Tarek Fatah rejects what this book says about beating women, he's not a "moderate" Muslim. He's not a Muslim at all, because he accepts Western values as a higher source of morality than the Qur'an.

Abdelkader Merah Proud of His Brother's Terrorist Attacks

Here I thought that all Muslims would condemn Mohammed Merah's actions. Doesn't Abdelkader know that Islam promotes peace and tolerance? I'll prove it by quoting Muslim sources:

Qur’an 9:73—O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be unyielding to them; and their abode is hell, and evil is the destination.

Qur’an 9:111—Surely Allah has bought of the believers their persons and their property for this, that they shall have the garden; they fight in Allah's way, so they slay and are slain;

Qur’an 48:29—Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves.

Sahih Muslim 33—The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.

See? Nothing but peace and tolerance here.

TOULOUSE, France -- The older brother of the Toulouse gunman who killed seven people in France said he was "proud" of Mohammed Merah's actions, police said Saturday.

Abdelkader Merah admitted being present when the scooter used in the killings was stolen, even though he claimed he knew nothing of his brother's criminal intentions.

He and his girlfriend were taken into custody after his brother was killed trying to shoot his way out of an apartment following a 32-hour police siege.

The 23-year-old had murdered three Jewish children, a trainee rabbi and three soldiers in three separate gun attacks between Mar. 11 and Mar. 19 in the southwestern French city, shocking the country in the buildup to a presidential election. (Read more.)

According to the Qur'an, the doctrine of the Trinity teaches that God is composed of three separate gods—Allah, Jesus, and Mary. Since no Christians have ever believed this, we must wonder why the Qur'an saddles us with such a view. If the Qur'an is the work of an illiterate caravan trader, the error makes perfect sense. But if the Qur'an is the word of God, wouldn't we expect something a bit more accurate?

Qur'an 5:116—And when Allah will say: O Isa son of Marium! did you say to men, Take me and my mother for two gods besides Allah he will say: Glory be to Thee, it did not befit me that I should say what I had no right to (say); if I had said it, Thou wouldst indeed have known it; Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I do not know what is in Thy mind, surely Thou art the great Knower of the unseen things.

French Muslim Mohammed Merah Dead after Standoff with Police

The media, of course, are busy reminding us that Merah's hatred for Jews had nothing to do with Islam, as if we're all still hopelessly ignorant of Muhammad's teachings:

Sahih al-Bukhari 2926--Narrated Abu Hurairah: Allah's Messenger said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight against the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say, 'O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.'"

I think we may have entered a new phase of Islamic terrorism here in the West. Over the past decade, jihadists have been remarkably stupid. They decide to slaughter the kufar, but in order to carry out their plan, they start walking around, asking where they can get some bombs. At that point, the FBI enters the picture, gives them some fake bombs, and puts them in jail.

After every failed terrorist attack in recent years, I always thought to myself, "Wow, I'm glad these idiots don't realize they can just get a gun and start shooting people." But now it's happened. A jihadist who keeps quiet, plans his attack, and carries it out before drawing attention to himself is much more dangerous than the typical "mob mentality" jihadist who finds strength in numbers.

Lots of young jihadists are looking at Merah's work right now and thinking, "So that's how it's done!"

FRANCE--The Al Qaeda fanatic who murdered seven people in south west France filmed all of his killings in their entirety, it has been confirmed.

Prosecutor Francois Molins had the grim task of watching Mohammed Merah's recordings.

In one, he is seen holding a gun to a victims head and saying: 'You killed my brothers, I kill you.'

It came as Jund al-Khilafah, an Al-Qaeda splinter group, claimed responsibility for Merah's crimes in an online statement.

In the end, he too died of a shot in the head, sustained in a vicious gun battle when police stormed his apartment following a 32-hour siege.

The Toulouse terrorist burst out of his flat's bathroom 'shooting insanely' at officers, before leaping to his death from a window.

In scenes reminiscent of a Hollywood film, Mohammad Merah, 23, unleashed round after round from automatic weapons after gas cannisters were thrown into his apartment and police stormed in.

Two officers were injured, including one who is still in a serious condition.

Interior Minister Claude Gueant said: 'We sent in special cameras to be able to see where he was but we could not find him. It was when we were able to locate him in the bathroom that he came out shooting madly at everybody.

'The police had never seen anything like this kind of violence and the RAID police had to protect themselves.

'Merah jumped out of the window and continued to shoot. He was found dead on the ground.'

Merah, who admits murdering seven people in the past week, had been holed up in his flat in the city of Toulouse with a variety of weapons since 3am yesterday.

Police decided to move in after negotiations broke down and he threatened to start killing officers. (Read more.)

French Muslims Warn of Possible Anti-Muslim Backlash Following Brutal Massacre of Jewish Children by Muslim

Ever notice that Muslims always seem to be more worried about possible repercussions following Muslim terrorist attacks than they are about the victims of Muslim terrorist attacks? Here we go again. A French Muslim brutally murders Jewish children, and French Muslims can only think about themselves.

EURONEWS--France’s five-million strong Islamic community fears it may be subject to repercussions after it emerged the main suspect in the killing of seven people – including three young children – was Muslim.

In Toulouse itself, the message was one of tolerance.

“There are issues between Arabs and Jews,” said one man. “That’s not good. On earth we’re the same race.”

“Whatever you are, Jewish, Muslim, Arab or anything else, we are all the same blood,” added another.

Many Muslims already feel they are all viewed as potential extremists. In Paris one felt the media had focused on the wrong aspect of the killings.

“What shocked me most was that the victims were children,” he said. “But the media is putting the spotlight more on the fact it concerns Jews and Muslims or for example that a Muslim killed an Arab.”

Another added: “It’s true that tolerance regarding Islam is already greatly reduced. And what’s happening in Toulouse is inevitably going to raise fears.”

A joint appeal by the Jewish and Islamic communities for tolerance has been issued but plans for a joint rally on Sunday have been cancelled. (Source)

French Police Raid House of Muslim Suspected in Massacre at Jewish School

It's much more dangerous, even in the West, to be a Jew than to be a Muslim. But Muslims will keep telling us about Islamophobia, even as they stir hatred against Jews.

TOULOUSE, France – An elite French anti-terror police unit raided a home early Wednesday in search of a suspect with possible Al Qaeda ties in the deadly massacre at a French Jewish school, French media reported.

A gunman killed three children and a rabbi at a Jewish school Monday, and is suspected to be linked to the killings of three off-duty soldiers the week before.

The suspect is reportedly holding out in what police describe as a pavilion, and is heavily armed. He is described as a 24-year-old ultra Islamist, who claims he was trained with Al Qaeda on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border.

He reportedly told police he was trained to avenge the killings of Palestinians, and is part of a terror cell. (Read more.)

Six "Men" Film Gang-Rape of 15-Year-Old British Girl

These gang-rapes are becoming all too common in the U.K. But that's the price of multiculturalism. Is it worth the price?

BBC--Six men filmed themselves as they raped and sexually assaulted a drunk 15-year-old schoolgirl, a jury was told.

The girl was taken to three different houses in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, during the course of one evening in May 2010, Leeds Crown Court heard.

Mohammed Ali Rehman, 26, denies three counts of rape and one of attempted rape. Faisar Younas, 23, denies rape.

Hasan Rehman, 18, Wahid Hussain, 19, Saqib Hussain, 31, and Larasab Hussain, 45, deny a number of sexual offences.

Hasan Rehman, of Tanhouse Street, Dewsbury, and Wahid Hussain, of Broomer Street, Dewsbury, are both charged with attempted rape.

Saqib Hussain, of Huddersfield Road, Dewsbury, and Larasab Hussain, of Headfield Road, Dewsbury, are both charged with sexual assault.

Video clips of the alleged abuse were shown to the jury during the opening of the trial.

Sharon Beattie, prosecuting, told the court the video recovered from Larasab Hussain's phone showed "part of a series of sexual assaults on the complainant".

The girl and a friend, who were both drunk, went to Mr Rehman's house after meeting him to buy cannabis, the jury was told.

The girl consumed more alcohol at his house and became so drunk she could barely walk.

Miss Beattie said Mohammed Ali Rehman told the girl she could stay at his house and her friend left, taking the girl's mobile phone with her.

The jury heard that Mr Rehman then told Saqib Hussain he had 10 minutes with the girl in a bedroom.

Miss Beattie said: "If this is right, from the off Ali Rehman was set on this girl being available for the sexual gratification of himself and his friends and the fact she could not walk demonstrates she was vulnerable to all these men."

The court heard she was raped by Mr Rehman before being picked up and carried over his shoulder to another house nearby, where she was given more drink and further abused by him and Faisar Younas.

Her next memory was of waking up on a mattress between Hasan Rehman and Wahid Hussain, the court heard.

The prosecutor said the girl recalled "crying, saying no and pushing them away".

The court was told the girl was then taken, in a taxi driven by Larasab Hussain, to another property where she was plied with more drink and raped again by Mr Rehman.

At one point, she was grabbed by other men as she tried to get off the bed, the jury was told.

Police found the girl a short time later back at Mr Rehman's house.

Miss Beattie said the girl had initially denied "anything inappropriate" to police because she was "concerned about people finding out what had happened" but later gave a different account.

The court also heard that DNA from Mohammed Ali Rehman and Mr Younas was identified from on the girl's clothes. (Source)

American Teacher Killed in Yemen for Suspected Christian Evangelism

Meanwhile, Muslim groups in America have launched a national campaign to convince us that Sharia is harmless and tolerant.

YEMEN--An American working for a Swedish charity was shot and killed in Taiz, Yemen, on Sunday, and a group tied to al-Qaida said it had executed the man because of his "Christian proselytizing."

The victim was identified as Joel Shrun, or Sharm, and reportedly worked for the Swedish Training Institute, which is run by the Swedish Free Mission, a charity funded by the Swedish government and religious groups.

He was in a vehicle when it was fired on by someone on a motorcycle.

A group linked to al-Qaida claimed responsibility. "This operation comes as a response to the campaign of Christian proselytizing that the West has launched against Muslims," an unidentified person said in a text message to journalists, claiming responsibility on behalf of the Ansar al-Sharia (Partisans of Islamic Law). More Hypocrisy/Sharia Compliance from the New York Times

The Western media has been sending a clear message for years: "If you want to avoid criticism, just be as violent and intolerant as possible."

Last week, the New York Times published the following anti-Catholic ad by the Freedom from Religion Foundation:

Obviously, according to the New York Times, it's perfectly acceptable to run an ad condemning Catholicism and calling people to leave the church.

Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs exposed the blatant hypocrisy of the New York Times by submitting an almost identical ad critical of Islam:

Not surprisingly, the New York Times refused to publish the ad (at the moment, anyway), claiming that “the fallout from running this ad now could put U.S. troops and/or civilians in the [Afghan] region in danger.”

In other words, the New York Times will run an ad against Catholicism because Catholics won't go on a killing spree. But the Times won't run an ad critical of Islam because Muslims will go on a killing spree.

Hence, if Muslims want the New York Times to submit to Sharia, they simply need to earn a reputation for violence and intimidation (which they've been doing for years).

There's a simple reason Muslims have waged a campaign of terrorism for nearly fourteen centuries: It works, especially with the sort of sniveling cowards who pass for journalists nowadays.

Anne Marie Waters: Sharia Law and Middle Class Feminism

It's good to finally see a call for consistency in the feminist community. Anne Marie Waters concludes that the attitude among many feminists ("We're against domestic abuse, but not when it comes to women from the Muslim world") is sheer racism.

UNITED KINGDOM--On Saturday, I was honoured to attend the launch of the International Sindhi Women's Organisation. Here was a group of brave, principled, and intelligent British Pakistani women who had come together to talk about their future, their fears, and most importantly, their rights.

They discussed forced marriage (and what to do about it),"honour" killings, and sharia law among other important issues that affect them. However, quite what the middle-class, predominantly white, 20-somethings I met on Sunday would have to say to these women is anyone's guess – but it might contain a strong hint of "shut up and accept your culture".

On Sunday, I spoke at the University of Kent's Critical Law Society conference under the heading of 'Equality: Are We There Yet?'

I was invited to speak alongside pro-sharia advocate Aina Khan (more on her later) and a PhD student (more on her later as well) and found myself in a not-too-unfamiliar situation of having to argue against domestic violence in opposition to a room full of "feminists".

Having described how sharia family law in Britain allows men to beat their wives - as the testimony of women who have been through it confirms – the "feminists" weren't quite sure whether or not they disapproved. I was met with highly accusatory questions such as How can we be multicultural if we don't allow sharia?, and comments such as We must tolerate … well, pretty much everything from what I could make out. With the mumblings and applause in favour of my opponents, I was left in no doubt as to the company I was keeping.

Here's how it seems to go: "We are feminists. We are incredibly right-on. We read the Guardian. We disapprove of women's breasts getting a public airing and we strongly object to the fact that boards of directors are not 50% female. We will go absolutely ballistic if anyone dare understate how vile domestic violence is, or attempt in any way to justify it. We are feminists you see. Oh, but only when it comes to white women – did we mention that?"

At this point you may, as I do, envisage them leaning forward a bit, hands back-to-back between knees and continuing - "You're different you see. You come from funny countries where people are a bit strange and where women don't seem to mind a punch in the mouth quite as much we would. You can't possibly expect us to stand up with you against violence. Violence is your culture. Now, stop being such a racist and accept it".

I'll now come back to the PhD student sitting next to me and falling over her good self to sell the beauty of sharia to us all. Following the meeting, I turned to her and said "I bet you think you're a feminist right?" She answered a very emphatic Yes. So I asked her if she condemns sharia. "Nope".

Well then you're not a feminist.

Now let me explain. A feminist stands up for women because they are women, not because they are white, middle class, English speaking, Christian, atheist, Jew or Muslim – but because they are women. A feminist opposes all violence against women because they are women. Feminists oppose the rape of women, because they are women. Feminists oppose these all the time and for all women.

This is not however what I heard from some of these students on Sunday. Their message is very clear – domestic violence is acceptable under certain circumstances. As I said at the time, if we were talking about any other situation, I have no doubt that we would have been united in our disgust at wife-beaters... but throw the word "sharia" in there and suddenly the wife-beater becomes the victim; an innocent bystander whose own oppression leads him to lash out. It's not his fault, (haven't we had this argument already?) it's the fault of the west/Israel/America.

Let's get this straight once and for all – a man who beats his wife is a criminal, and for the protection of the rights of all women, he must be punished and his actions condemned. Full stop. If you think this should apply only to white women and care nothing for the plight of your non-white sister, then you are a racist. Full stop. (Read more at National Secular Society.)

Australian Muslim Ibrahim Siddiq-Conlon Charged with Terrorist Threat against Gays and Possession of Child Pornography

AUSTRALIA--A convert to radical Islam has appeared in a Sydney court on charges of possessing child pornography and making a hoax terrorist threat against the city's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Ibrahim Siddiq-Conlon is accused of posting the threat on the Facebook page for 2Day FM's Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Police also allege he viewed child abuse material on the internet using his laptop computer between July last year and his arrest on the night of the Mardi Gras parade.

Siddiq-Conlon has previously come to attention in the media for his outspoken views, particularly his call for Australia to become an Islamic state ruled by sharia law.

He faced Burwood Local Court this morning and was granted bail to re-appear in May.

Speaking to reporters outside the court, Siddiq-Conlon said he had posted the hoax threat in a moment of passion and had not meant it.

"It was just a moment of passion and I didn't mean it and that's all," he said.

He denied accessing child pornography from his computer.

"Nothing to say on that - of course is that police believe they have some evidence but you know of course we don't have any of that stuff," he said. (Source)

Muslim Imam Rapes 10-Year-Old Girl in India

I repeat: ISLAM WILL SAVE THE WEST FROM IMMORALITY. We need Muslim clerics to teach us how to live good, moral lives.

CHINSURAH--The imam of a mosque at Namazgarh in under Hooghly Mogra police station went absconding after a van rickshaw owner complained to police that the cleric had allegedly raped his 10-year-old daughter.

In the complaint, the father Qurban Mollah said his daughter had broken down on Friday evening after suffering Sheikh Sarfuddin's brutality for days.

"My daughter used to would study Arabic at the mosque along with other children. Of late, she had become quiet and looked terrified when leaving home for lessons. I thought that it was perhaps because she was unable to cope with studies. But on Thursday evening, she broke down, unable to bear the torture any longer. She said the imam Sk Sarfuddin had been physically abusing her for several days," the father alleged.

Additional inspector in charge of Mogra PS, Ashesh Biswas, said a police team was on the lookout for Mollah, who had fled after learning that the victim's father was filing a complaint. "We will probe the allegation. The child is being sent for medical examination," he said. (Source)

Indonesian Cleric Accused of Molesting 11 Boys

But no matter how many of these molestation cases we read about, don't ever forget that Islam will save the West from immorality. Islam hasn't prevented immorality in the Muslim world, but surely things will be different here in the West.

INDONESIA--A popular Muslim cleric was questioned by the police on Monday about claims by 11 young men that he molested them years ago.

Despite the serious nature of the allegations, the cleric, identified only as H., had ignored other police summonses, saying his preaching schedule was too busy.

“He was questioned as a witness,” Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr Rikwanto said. “After [his deposition] is crosschecked, the information will be analyzed.”

Riwanto said the police had already questioned the accusers and conducted psychological tests on seven who are still minors.

“The others were not tested because they are adults,” he said. “We will then determine whether the accused really did what he is reported to have done.” (Read more.)

Samatar Mohamed Condemns Muhammad (Again)

Samatar seems to have some trouble writing a comment without condemning his own prophet. In response to my recent post about the deleterious effects of polygamy, Samatar wrote:

Polygamy is necessary in certain instances, like when the number of women are much larger then the number of men due to battles and such. But lets not forget the clear guideline that is in the Quran with regard to polygamy.

Surah Nisa, verse 3

"If ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans, marry women of your choice, two, or three, or four; but if ye fear that ye shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one, or that which your right hands possess. That will be more suitable, to prevent you from doing injustice."

It is quite clear that the four women should be treated equally in the Quran, and if you fear injustice then marry only one. The Quran actually does prohibit polygamy for the men who cannot treat his wives justly.

On a side note, I think Muslims are contradicting themselves here. How so? Muslims often tell us that Muhammad put an end to the rampant seventh-century practice of female infanticide. According to Muslim apologists, there was an epidemic of parents murdering female babies. Well now, if people were regularly killing their female babies, there would be fewer females than males, wouldn't there? But then these same Muslim apologists, when they defend polygamy, assure us that there were so many women in Arabia, Muslims needed to marry two, or three, or four (or far more, in Muhammad's case) to take care of all the women (and this isn't even counting all their sex slaves). Quite an inconsistency, I think. But there's a more important issue.

Samatar declares, following the Qur'an, that a Muslim must treat his wives equally. Hence, if a Muslim doesn't treat his wives equally, he is sinning. But Muhammad himself didn't treat his wives equally.

Consider this Hadith, which shows Muhammad's wives pleading with him to treat them the way he treats Aisha (who was obviously getting special treatment):

Sunan An-Nasa'i 3396—Aishah said: "The wives of the Prophet sent Fatimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, to the Messenger of Allah. She asked permission to enter when he was lying with me under my cover. He gave her permission to enter, and she said: 'O Messenger of Allah, your wives have sent me to you to ask you to be equitable with regard to the matter of the daughter of Abu Quhafah.' I (Aishah) kept quiet and the Messenger of Allah said to her: 'O my daughter! Do you not love the one whom I love?' She said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Then love this one.' Fatimah stood up when she heard this and left the Messenger of Allah, and went back to the wives of the Prophet. She told them what she had said, and what he had said to her. They said to her: 'We do not think that you have been of any avail to us. Go back to the Messenger of Allah and say to him: Your wives are urging you to be equitable with regard to the matter of the daughter of Abu Quhafah.' Fatimah said: 'No, by Allah; I will never speak to him about her again.'" Aishah said: "So the wives of the Prophet sent Zainab bint Jahsh to the Messenger of Allah; she was one who was somewhat equal to me in rank in the eyes of the Messenger of Allah. And I have never seen a woman who was better in religious commitment than Zainab, more fearing of Allah, more honest in speech, more dutiful in upholding the ties of kinship, more generous in giving charity, and devoted in giving herself in acts of charity, by means of which she sought to draw closer to Allah. But she was quick-tempered; however, she was also quick to calm down. She asked permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah when he was with Aishah under her cover, in the same situation as when Fatimah had entered. The Messenger of Allah gave her permission to enter and she said: 'O Messenger of Allah, your wives have sent me to ask you to be equitable with regard to the daughter of Abu Quhafah.' Then she verbally abused me at length, and I was watching the Messenger of Allah to see if he would allow me to respond. Zainab went on until I realized that the Messenger of Allah would not disapprove if I responded. Then I spoke back to her in such a way, until I silenced her. Then the Messenger of Allah said: 'She is the daughter of Abu Bakr.'"

So Muhammad showed favoritism to Aisha above his other wives. But this makes him a horrible sinner, according to Samatar.

Muhammad's companion Umar even warned his daughter Hafsa not to expect Muhammad to treat her equally, for Muhammad loved Aisha more than her.

Sahih al-Bukhari 3:648— . . . Then ‘Umar went on relating the narration and said. "I and an Ansari neighbor of mine from Bani Umaiya bin Zaid who used to live in ‘Awali Al-Medina, used to visit the Prophet in turns. He used to go one day, and I another day. When I went I would bring him the news of what had happened that day regarding the instructions and orders and when he went, he used to do the same for me. We, the people of Quraish, used to have authority over women, but when we came to live with the Ansar, we noticed that the Ansari women had the upper hand over their men, so our women started acquiring the habits of the Ansari women. Once I shouted at my wife and she paid me back in my coin and I disliked that she should answer me back. She said, ‘Why do you take it ill that I retort upon you? By Allah, the wives of the Prophet retort upon him, and some of them may not speak with him for the whole day till night.’ What she said scared me and I said to her, ‘Whoever amongst them does so, will be a great loser.’ Then I dressed myself and went to Hafsa and asked her, ‘Does any of you keep Allah’s Apostle angry all the day long till night?’ She replied in the affirmative. I said, ‘She is a ruined losing person (and will never have success)! Doesn’t she fear that Allah may get angry for the anger of Allah's Apostle and thus she will be ruined? Don’t ask Allah’s Apostle too many things, and don't retort upon him in any case, and don't desert him. Demand from me whatever you like, and don’t be tempted to imitate your neighbor (i.e. ‘Aisha) in her behavior towards the Prophet, for she (i.e. Aisha) is more beautiful than you, and more beloved to Allah’s Apostle.

Muhammad's wife Sauda even had to surrender some of her marital privileges to Aisha in order to please Muhammad.

Sahih Muslim 3451—A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Never did I find any woman more loving to me than Sauda bint Zam'a. I wished I could be exactly like her who was passionate. As she became old, she had made over her day (which she had to spend) with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) to ‘A’isha. She said: I have made over my day with you to ‘A’isha. So Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) allotted two days to ‘A’isha, her own day (when it was her turn) and that of Sauda.

Sahih al-Bukhari 3:766—Narrated Aisha: Whenever Allah’s Apostle wanted to go on a journey, he would draw lots as to which of his wives would accompany him. He would take her whose name came out. He used to fix for each of them a day and a night. But Sauda bint Zam’a gave up her (turn) day and night to ‘Aisha, the wife of the Prophet in order to seek the pleasure of Allah's Apostle (by that action).

So Muhammad ended up spending more time with Aisha than with any of his other wives, and he ended up spending no time at all with Sauda!

And yet Samatar tells us that Muslims must treat their wives equally. In doing so, he condemns his own prophet. Interestingly, the Qur'an declares that Muhammad is an excellent moral example for Muslims to follow. It seems, then, that Muslims are commanded to follow the example of a man who was a horrible sinner and couldn't even follow the simplest commands of the Qur'an.

***UPDATE*** Samatar can't help himself. In his most recent comment, he writes:

The Quran says to treat your wives equally. When I said equally, I meant in the sense of food, clothing, sex etc... I did not mean favouring one wife over another, Or loving one wife more than another.

So the Qur'an calls Muslims to treat wives equally in regards to sex? But Muhammad spent an additional night for sex with one of his wives (Aisha), and had no sex with a less favored wife (Sauda). So one wife got no sex, some wives got some sex, and Aisha got the most sex. Hence, even on Samatar's modified position, Muhammad still turns out to be a hypocrite and a sinner in rebellion against Allah's clear commands in the Qur'an.

Samatar also wrote:

With regard to Sahih al-Bukhari 3:766, it is quite clear that Sauda gave up her night with the prophet willingly, so there is no injustice their. It would only be injustice if the prophet (pbuh) spent the night with Aisha against Sauda's permission.

Samatar, I beg you, please start reading your sources. Sauda gave up her night with Muhammad because he was going to divorce her, leaving her as an old and starving widow. So she made the agreement in order to survive, and Muhammad agreed because it allowed him to spend more time with his child-bride. If Muhammad were a good moral example, he would have responded, "Sauda, what do you mean you're worried that I will divorce you? I will never divorce you, because I've been commanded to care for all my wives equally. So there's no need to give up your evening with me, for that would result in unequal treatment, which the Qur'an forbids." Instead, Muhammad's response was, "What? You're giving your sex night to Aisha? Great! Okay, you can continue receiving food and shelter, and I'll have double sex with Aisha! Win/win!" And the Qur'an even condones this behavior (4:128-130).

Samatar, do you have the slightest clue what a repulsive hypocrite Muhammad was? He was a thoroughly despicable excuse for a human being, and all you do is defend him. This is what Islam does to people. It forces them to defend the indefensible.

New Study Shows Polygamy Leads to Higher Levels of Crime, Violence, Poverty, and Gender Inequality

Interesting. Islam institutionalized polygamous marriage. Researchers have determined that polygamous marriage in a culture leads to higher levels of crime, violence, poverty, and gender inequality. Hence, Islam institutionalized a practice that led to the problems we now see in Muslim societies: rampant violence, poverty, and gender inequality. Shouldn't Allah have known better?

For those unfamiliar with Islamic teachings, here's a quick review. According to the Qur'an, Muslim men are allowed to marry up to four women:

Qur'an 4:3—And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphan girls, then marry (other) women of your choice, two or three or four, but if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly (with them), then only one or (the captives and the slaves) that your right hands possess. That is nearer to prevent you from doing injustice.

Of course, Allah gave Muhammad (and only Muhammad) special moral privileges, namely, the right to marry more women than anyone else (nothing suspicious here!):

Qur'an 33:50—O Prophet! We have made lawful to thee thy wives to whom thou hast paid their dowers; and those whom thy right hand possesses out of the prisoners of war whom Allah has assigned to thee; and daughters of thy paternal uncles and aunts, and daughters of thy maternal uncles and aunts, who migrated (from Makkah) with thee; and any believing woman who dedicates her soul to the Prophet if the Prophet wishes to wed her—this only for thee, and not for the Believers (at large).

According to Tabari, Muhammad married fifteen women:

History of al-Tabari, Volume IX, pp. 126-7—“The Messenger of God married fifteen women and consummated his marriage with thirteen. He combined eleven at a time and left behind nine.”

Bukhari confirms that Muhammad had at either nine or eleven wives at one time (far more than the standard limit of four):

Sahih al-Bukhari 268—Anas bin Malik said, "The Prophet used to visit all his wives in a round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number." I asked Anas, "Had the Prophet the strength for it?" Anas replied, "We used to say that the Prophet was given the strength of thirty (men)." And Sa'id said on the authority of Qatada that Anas had told him about nine wives only (not eleven).

Since Muhammad is the highest moral example in Islam (Qur'an 33:21), and Muhammad was polygamous, and the Qur'an allows Muslims to engage in polygamy, this practice has been a part of Muslim society for nearly fourteen centuries. And now for the results of Islamic teachings, in a report by Science Daily:

SCIENCE DAILY (Jan. 24, 2012)—In cultures that permit men to take multiple wives, the intra-sexual competition that occurs causes greater levels of crime, violence, poverty and gender inequality than in societies that institutionalize and practice monogamous marriage.

That is a key finding of a new University of British Columbia-led study that explores the global rise of monogamous marriage as a dominant cultural institution. The study suggests that institutionalized monogamous marriage is rapidly replacing polygamy because it has lower levels of inherent social problems.

"Our goal was to understand why monogamous marriage has become standard in most developed nations in recent centuries, when most recorded cultures have practiced polygyny," says UBC Prof. Joseph Henrich, a cultural anthropologist, referring to the form of polygamy that permits multiple wives, which continues to be practiced in some parts of Africa, Asia, the Middle East and North America.

"The emergence of monogamous marriage is also puzzling for some as the very people who most benefit from polygyny -- wealthy, powerful men -- were best positioned to reject it," says Henrich, lead author of the study that was recently published in the journal Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society. "Our findings suggest that that institutionalized monogamous marriage provides greater net benefits for society at large by reducing social problems that are inherent in polygynous societies."

Considered the most comprehensive study of polygamy and the institution of marriage, the study finds significantly higher levels rape, kidnapping, murder, assault, robbery and fraud in polygynous cultures. According to Henrich and his research team, which included Profs. Robert Boyd (UCLA) and Peter Richerson (UC Davis), these crimes are caused primarily by pools of unmarried men, which result when other men take multiple wives.

"The scarcity of marriageable women in polygamous cultures increases competition among men for the remaining unmarried women," says Henrich, adding that polygamy was outlawed in 1963 in Nepal, 1955 in India (partially), 1953 in China and 1880 in Japan. The greater competition increases the likelihood men in polygamous communities will resort to criminal behavior to gain resources and women, he says.

According to Henrich, monogamy's main cultural evolutionary advantage over polygyny is the more egalitarian distribution of women, which reduces male competition and social problems. By shifting male efforts from seeking wives to paternal investment, institutionalized monogamy increases long-term planning, economic productivity, savings and child investment, the study finds. Monogamy's institutionalization has been assisted by its incorporation by religions, such as Christianity.

Monogamous marriage also results in significant improvements in child welfare, including lower rates of child neglect, abuse, accidental death, homicide and intra-household conflict, the study finds. These benefits result from greater levels of parental investment, smaller households and increased direct "blood relatedness" in monogamous family households, says Henrich, who served as an expert witness for British Columbia's Supreme Court case involving the polygamous community of Bountiful, B.C.

Monogamous marriage has largely preceded democracy and voting rights for women in the nations where it has been institutionalized, says Henrich, the Canadian Research Chair in Culture, Cognition and Evolution in UBC's Depts. of Psychology and Economics. By decreasing competition for younger and younger brides, monogamous marriage increases the age of first marriage for females, decreases the spousal age gap and elevates female influence in household decisions which decreases total fertility and increases gender equality.

More Than 90 Iraqi Students Stoned to Death over Haircuts and Tight Clothing

We've been hearing the myth for decades. "The problem isn't Islam; the problem is that people in the Middle East don't have democracy. Muslims only react violently because they have no means of making their voices heard." This gives us the false hope that if we help get rid of dictators and bring democracy to the Muslim world, peace and tolerance will follow.

You'd think that reality would finally be setting in, but the world is still in denial. Meanwhile, oppression is soaring in Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. If a population believes in violence and oppression, altering the political system changes nothing.

DAILY MAIL--More than 90 Iraqi students have been stoned to death for their Emo haircuts by religious extremists in Baghdad in the past month after an interior ministry statement dubbed it devil worshipping.

Iraq's Moral Police released a statement on the interior ministry's website condemning the 'emo phenomenon' among Iraqi youth, declaring its intent to 'eliminate' the trend.

'The Emo phenomenon or devil worshipping is being followed by the Moral Police who have the approval to eliminate [the phenomenon] as soon as possible since it's detrimentally affecting the society and becoming a danger,' the statement read.

'They wear strange, tight clothes that have pictures on them such as skulls and use stationary that are shaped as skulls. They also wear rings on their noses and tongues, and do other strange activities,'.

Since the statement was published religious extremists have been harassing and killing teenagers with 'strange' or 'emo' appearances.

A group of armed men dressed in civilian clothing led dozens of teenagers to secluded areas a few days ago, stoned them to death, and then disposed their bodies in garbage dumpsters across the capital, according to activists, activists told the Cairo-based al-Akhbar website.

The armed men are said to belong to 'one of the most extremist religious groups' in Iraq.

'First they throw concrete blocks at the boy's arms, then at his legs, then the final blow is to his head, and if he is not dead then, they start all over again,' one person who managed to escape told Al-Akhbar.

Iraq's moral police was granted approval by the Ministry of Education to enter Baghdad schools and pinpoint students with such appearances, according to the interior ministry's statement.

The exact death toll remains unclear, but Hana al-Bayaty of Brussels Tribunal, an NGO dealing with Iraqi issues, said the current figure ranges 'between 90 and 100.'

'What's most disturbing about this is that they're so young,' she said.

Al-Bayaty said the killings appear to have been carried out by extremist Shia militias in mostly poor Shia neighborhoods and said she suspected 'there's complicity of the Ministry of Interior in the killings.' (Read more.)

New Zealand Woman Marries Muslim in Egypt, Gets Lesson in Qur'anic Justice

Muhammad's wife Aisha once admitted that Muslim women were treated more harshly than pagan women (Sahih al-Bukhari 5825). Why, you ask? Because Muslim men have a divine obligation to beat their wives into submission (Qur'an 4:34).

EGYPT--Beaten with a slave whip, starved and scared, Kiwi Sharon Churchill believes she would still be a hostage of her Egyptian husband if it wasn't for a team of New Zealand diplomats who helped her to escape.

The 41-year-old from Tirau in Waikato suffered emotional abuse and beatings from her husband of five months - a man she once called the love of her life - and started sleeping with a steel pipe for protection.

But on February 14, she escaped, with the help of embassy staff in Cairo, and is now warning other women about the dangers of holiday romances.

In letters she has sent to the Prime Minister and other ministers, Ms Churchill credits the diplomats with saving her life by working with Egyptian authorities to get her out of the house and on a flight home.

However, her ex-husband denies the claims, saying he never assaulted her and that problems in their relationship were her fault.

"In other countries the man feel the woman she don't respect him and I find that in her. It's not my fault."

Speaking out for the first time since arriving home, she said she was still recovering from an ordeal that had left her with physical and emotional scars and $30,000 out of pocket. . . .

"There were a couple of days I didn't have water or food. I lost 12kg in six weeks. It was semi-starvation."

One hellish night in February, fearing for her safety, Ms Churchill slept on the roof with a steel pipe.

"He came up with an Egyptian slave whip and beat me with it. It cut my arms open and my legs were severely bruised. I was screaming, 'Help me', and he said, 'No one's going to help you'. I knew he would kill me before he would let me out." . . .

Ms Churchill has words of advice for any woman considering a holiday romance in the Middle East: "Have a fling with them, [but] don't get into a relationship. Once you enter into any contract of marriage, you become their property." (Read more.)

Pakistani Man "Honor" Kills Two Sisters for Disobedience

Think about this for a moment. Honor killings are obviously accepted by many people in the Muslim world. Many of these Muslims immigrate to the West. When they get here, we're told that it's "racist," "bigoted," and "Islamophobic" to challenge their cultural views. And now honor killings are on the rise in the West. Anyone surprised?

SARGODHA, PAKISTAN--Kot Momin police have registered a murder case against a man accused of killing his two sisters after they were declared kari by a jirga.

Investigation Officer SI Rab Nawaz said a team had been formed to arrest the suspect, Farman, 27, who had fled the area after killing his sisters – Kahkshan, 20, and Afshan, 24. He said the FIR had been registered on a complaint filed by Rana Qadeer, father of the deceased girls. The bodies had been sent for a post mortem examination.

Police said the jirga had been held after the two girls had returned home from Lahore over a week ago.

He quoted the family as saying that they had persuaded the girls to return by assuring them of their safety. But, he said, they later organised a jirga which decided that it was a matter of honour and pardoning the deceased would bring disgrace to the family. The women were then strangled by their brother on directives of the jirga at their home in Mohllah Dak-Khana.

Police said the two women had fled home and moved to Lahore over a month ago. They said there was no information about the women’s motive behind fleeing home or the person with whom they stayed in Lahore.

They said the family had sought intervention of their contacts in Lahore to persuade the women to return home.

Talking to The Express Tribune, Imran, a cousin of the deceased women, justified their killing.

He said the women had deserved the punishment for showing disobedience to elders. He said everyone in the family was unanimous in declaring them kari. (Source)

Pakistani Police Officer Rapes Christian Teenager

Islam has utter contempt for women. Islam has utter contempt for Christians. Islam allows Muslims to rape female captives. Put these views together, and here's what you get.

Lahore (AsiaNews) - A 14 year old Christian girl was raped by a policeman with an accomplice, at gun point, while in the next room, bound and gagged, her grandparents felt powerless to intervene. The incident occurred on the night between 7 and 8 March in Sheikhupura district, Punjab province, while around the world events were held to celebrate International Women's Day. . . .

On the evening of March 7, 14 year old Kiran (*), originally from Jaranwala, paid a visit to her grandparents who live in the village of Malowal, in a small house not far from the property of a superintendent of police. In the night, Nawaz Wahla, a law enforcement official, along with an accomplice, Mehboob, a milkman, jumped the fence and broke into the house. According to the newspaper The Express Tribune, they tied up the grandparents and repeatedly raped the girl, at gun point.

Once she had escaped, Kiran released the grandparents, who accompanied her to the hospital for medical treatment. However, neither the doctors nor the police wanted to bring relief to the Christian girl, or take action to catch the perpetrators of violence. Only the official opening of the investigation, initiated by a diligent judge, allowed the detention of Mehboob - the accomplice - while Nawaz has so far eluded capture. . . .

Swedish Democrats Plan to Bribe Immigrants to Leave Country

Not sure how to break this to the lovely people of Sweden, but life as an unemployed immigrant in Scandinavia beats life under the Taliban any day of the week. No one wants to leave freedom for Sharia. (Instead, they want to convert free countries to Sharia states! Go figure!)

SWEDEN--The project, entitled “There’s no place like home” ('Borta bra men hemma bäst'), is designed to allow immigrants the opportunity to better understand the options and possibilities available to help them return to their home soil.

“We are convinced that among the many immigrants in Sweden who have ended up in alienation and social isolation the dream of being able to go back to their home land and reunite with their countrymen is still alive,” wrote the Sweden Democrat youth organization (Sverigedemokratisk Ungdom - SDU) in a statement.

Plans call for the party to distribute 10,000 "goodie bags" filled with USB memory sticks, DVDs, and other information in various languages about how to apply for repatriation grants. (Read more.)

Women Fighting for Human Rights in Iraq

Western Muslims would be happy to speak out on behalf of their oppressed sisters in Iraq, but they're too busy complaining about Islamophobia.

BAGHDAD — Iraqi women sharply criticised societal restrictions placed upon them in events marking International Women's Day on Thursday, arguing they were second-class citizens in male-dominated Iraq.

Officials attempted to highlight apparent progress made by women since now-executed dictator Saddam Hussein's ouster in 2003.

But activists and attendees at separate events organised by the government and a coalition of civil society groups said women in Iraq faced massive challenges.

"Iraqi women suffer marginalisation and all kinds of violence, including forced marriages, divorces and harassment, as well as restrictions on their liberty, their education, their choice of clothing, and their social life," said Hanaa Edwar, head of the charity Al-Amal ('Hope' in Arabic).

Edwar was one of the organisers of a conference on violence against women in central Baghdad's Karrada district.

"Our society is heading towards a deterioration when it comes to women's rights, and it will take many years to improve the situation," Ines Abdulsattar, a 31-year-old employee at the Iraqi foreign ministry, told AFP at the conference. . . .

Until the 1980s, Iraqi women were widely considered to have more rights than their counterparts across the Middle East, but they have suffered in the face of brutal violence, Islamist extremism, and a run-down education system.

Overall violence has declined since it peaked in 2006 and 2007, but Iraqi women remain victims of violence, trafficking, forced marriage at a young age, and kidnapping for confessional or criminal reasons, NGOs say. (Read more.)

Muslim Attempts to Murder Daughter for Being Disobedient . . . in Arizona

Even though he didn't succeed in killing her, the girl's father, mother, and sister held her down and tortured her.

PHOENIX – An Iraqi mother accused of beating her teenage daughter for not going along with an arranged marriage pleaded not guilty Monday in a case police said involved burning the teen on her face and chest with a hot spoon.

Yusra Farhan, 50, entered the plea to charges of aggravated assault, unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest.

The daughter, 19, refused to participate in an arranged marriage with a 38-year-old man, authorities said.

Two other defendants, the victim's sister, 18-year-old Tabarak Altameemi, and father, 45-year-old Mohammed Altameemi, also pleaded not guilty to assault and unlawful imprisonment.

MyFoxPhoenix.com cited court records showing that on Feb. 7 Mohammed Altameemi got mad at his daughter because she left night class with a boy. The father picked her up at school and took her home.

He is accused of cutting his daughter’s neck with a knife. Police say he admitted he was trying to kill her, but Tabarak Altameemi intervened.

They, other siblings and Farhan then allegedly taped the 19-year-old's mouth, bound her hands and body with rope and beat her.

The altercation over the arranged marriage occurred in November, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported. At that time, the victim's sisters and mom allegedly held her down and beat her, with Farhan accused of putting a hot spoon against her daughter's face and chest.

"I swear I didn't hurt her, only slightly, just like any parent would do to their children. Nobody would hurt their own children. You can ask her if she can be here with me," Farhan told a judge, according to a translation. (Source)

Muslim Receives Two-Year Sentence for Torturing and Murdering Daughters for "Honor"

Media whitewashes Islam in three . . . two . . .

IRAQ--Near the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, a father doused his three teenage daughters with boiling water and shot them because, he told a court, he suspected they were having sex. Two died.

He said he killed them to defend his honor.

Murder in Iraq can carry a death sentence but under laws that activists say are far too lenient for so-called “honor killings”, the father was jailed for just two years. Medical examinations showed the girls were virgins.

The light sentence was a result of Article 409 of Iraq’s penal code which is often used in cases of “honor killings” by men. Women’s activists in Iraq, led by the only woman in Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s cabinet, Minister of State for Women’s Affairs Ibtihal al-Zaidi, are lobbying to change the law.

But they say they face entrenched tribal values in a country where parliament includes many men from conservative parties.

For decades Iraqi women have enjoyed more freedoms than women in many other countries in the Middle East. They are generally free from the strict enforcement of dress codes or restrictions on movement, and can join political life.

But conservative tribal norms still prevail and all too often girls or women are punished by relatives for what are perceived to be crimes of honor. (Read more.)

Did you catch that? Honor killings have nothing to do with Islam. Instead, they are the result of "tribal values." Anyone ever noticed that the same "tribal values" affect women across the Muslim world, even though they all come from different tribes? What's the only common factor in these killings?

U.S. Department of Defense Unveils New Quran Sensitivity Training Program

The U.S. Government would make a lousy parent. Imagine you've got two children. One is well behaved, the other is a spoiled brat. You go to the grocery store, and both kids ask for candy. You tell them both "No." The good child accepts your decision and stands quietly. The other child throws himself on the floor, kicking and screaming, flailing around, breaking things, convulsing with rage. Should you give the spoiled child what he demands? According to the Department of Defense, you should. Whoever throws the biggest tantrum gets whatever he wants. The message we've just sent the world is crystal clear: Go on a killing spree, and we will submit.

Here's the latest Qur'an sensitivity training from the Department of Defense. I think I would title the program "Fun with Sharia." (H/T Atlas Shrugs.)

Hmmm. "We will hold sacred the beliefs held sacred by others." And here I thought the First Amendment guaranteed our right to freedom of religion. Now we find out that we MUST hold Islamic beliefs "sacred." Sharia is sacred to Muslims. The belief that Muhammad is a prophet is sacred to Muslims. The superiority of Islam is sacred to Muslims. It seems that if Muslims hold slaughtering unbelievers, killing apostates, beating wives, raping women, and sex with prepubescent girls "sacred," we must do the same.

Years of successful relationship building can be undermined by a single careless incident such as the event that took place on 21 FEB 2012. Muslim holy books were burned in a pile of garbage at a U.S. military base in Afghanistan after being removed from a library at a nearby detention center.

When remnants of the burned books were discovered by Afghan workers, more than 2,000 angry Afghans protested outside of Bagram Air Base. “Die, die, foreigners!” the demonstrators shouted. Some fired rifles into the air. Others threw rocks at the gate of the base and set tires ablaze.

As the crowd grew, so did the outrage. One protester said if U.S. forces can’t bring peace to Afghanistan they should go home. “They should leave Afghanistan rather than disrespecting our religion, our faith,” one man said. “They have to leave, and if next time they disrespect our religion, we will defend our holy Quran, religion and faith until the last drop of blood has left in our body.”

It is vital for every member of Coalition Forces to be equipped so that incidents such as this do not occur again.

Slide 3 – What Is the Quran?

The vast majority of Afghans are Muslim (99%) and practice Islam. The Quran is Islam’s Sacred Book. The text—in its original Arabic—is considered the literal word of God. It is the foundation of Muslim society and the main source of law and theology.

The Quran is regarded as the finest piece of literature in the Arabic language. It is composed of 114 Suras (chapters) made up of verses (ayahs). Arabic is read from right to left and from front to back, just opposite of a text written in English. The text of the Quran is about as long as the New Testament.

Muslims believe the Quran was revealed to Muhammad by God through the angel Gabriel in a period that spans twenty-three years beginning in 610 CE.

Muslims believe the Quran has survived to present times in its original form and is God’s final revelation to humanity.

Slide 4 - Identifying a Quran

Because Muslims believe the Quran is the literal word of God, they treat all copies of book with extreme veneration. Every complete copy, or even partial passages, are considered holy. This includes verses that have been hand-written and that include the name of God. It is considered culturally insensitive for any non-Muslim to touch a copy of the Quran. Even Muslims are supposed to perform ablution (a ritualistic hand washing) before holding the Quran.

Quran verses need not be in a book or even on paper to be sacred to Muslims. You will likely not be able to read the highly decorative script in Arabic. Use your interpreter to identify Qurans or Quranic verses.

Slide 5 - Cultural Sensitivity

Verbal disrespect for Islam and/or the Quran is considered as inappropriate as physical desecration of the Quran. Insulting the Quran is an act of blasphemy.

Expect to encounter a copy of the Quran of other Islamic Religious Materials when you search a person’s belongings or home. Ask the person or homeowner to remove the sacred text or place it in a secure location before conducting a search.

Insurgents will use even perceived disrespect to Islam and/or the Quran to their advantage to substantiate their claim that NATO ISAF forces are dishonoring Afghan religious and cultural values.

Slide 6 - Handling the Quran

Non-Muslims should NEVER handle an Arabic version of the Quran.

While non-Muslims are permitted to handle a translation of the Quran, one should make it a general practice to treat all religious materials with extraordinary respect.

If in the performance of your duty, you are required to handle a Quran or other Islamic Religious Material, you should use a clean cloth or clean gloves.

It is important to recognize that even partial copies or hand-written verses of the Quran are equally sacred and must be handled in the same manner.

As well as the Quran, service members may come in contact with other Islamic Religious Materials. These may include the Sunnah (Islamic guidance based on the behavior of the Prophet Muhammad), the Hadiths (sayings of the Prophet Muhammad on various major and minor issues), or various other printed or hand-written religious materials.

This slide describes the appropriate procedure for dealing with discovered Islamic Religious Materials: Secure, Notify, Validate, Contact, Transfer

Remember when securing items that you must still use proper procedures when handling Islamic Religious Materials, even if you are not certain of the exact nature of the materials you are have discovered. Proper handling ensures no offense will be given should these materials be deemed sacred in nature.

Notify your chain of command concerning the discovery and location of potential Islamic Religious Materials, the need to validate their identity, and the necessity of contacting an ANA Religious Cultural Affairs (RCA) Officer, similar to US chaplain. (The ANA has an RCA Officer Program. Although the RCA Officer Program differs from the U.S. Military Chaplaincy, part of its mission is Religious Support, as the ANA’s religious officers and clerics. Hence the role of the RCA Officer is critical in ensuring an Afghan lead in RLL/E operations. RCA Officers are uniquely qualified members of the ANA, representing their command).

The respectful assistance that we provide in the transfer of these materials to an ANA RCA officer or local religious leaders communicates our respect and value for what Afghans hold sacred and may significantly contribute toward diffusing a potentially volatile situation.

While this slide describes the proper method for disposing of Islamic Religious Materials, the take-away is that US personnel WILL NOT dispose of Islamic religious Materials.

Islamic Religious Support Materials brought into the CJOA-A by US Forces are handled with an awareness of Islamic and cultural sensitivities and will only be retrograded from the theater in accordance with USFOR-A policy. They should not be disposed of in any other fashion.

Two More Killed in Afghanistan over Quran Burning

Muslim groups show, yet again, their total contempt for human life.

Perhaps more apologies are needed.

Reuters - A suicide bomber killed at least two civilians Monday after detonating explosives at the gates of the NATO base where copies of the Koran were burned, Afghan officials said.

The bomber targeted a vehicle belonging to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), said district governor Kabir Ahmad Rahil, adding there could be foreign casualties, although a NATO spokeswoman said no coalition troops had been harmed in the attack on Bagram airfield.

Four more civilians were wounded in the attack, Rahil said.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was "revenge" for the Koran burning, spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said in a text message to media. He added that "a number of Americans" were killed and their tanks destroyed in the attack, although the Islamist group often exaggerate casualties. (Read more.)

Islamic Supremacist Complains of Discrimination after Leaving the University of Georgia

Accusing people of discrimination is now the default mode of Islamic supremacists in America. When in doubt, start accusing people of "Islamophobia."

GEORGIA--An Arabic lecturer who resigned from the University made students uncomfortable with unwanted advice about religion and had difficulty teaching the language, according to students and an adviser.

Haider Bhuiyan was a lecturer of Arabic and Islam at the University from 2007 until he resigned after fall 2011.

In December 2010, the Equal Opportunity Office investigated Bhuiyan on allegations that he made inappropriate comments about religion and sexual orientation to students, according to documents obtained by the Red & Black and published in a Feb. 2 article. The EOO found no evidence of discrimination, wrote E. Janyce Dawkins, associate director of equal opportunity, in a letter to Bhuiyan.

In a second investigation, the EOO looked into charges by Bhuiyan that two other religion professors, Alan Godlas and Kenneth Honerkamp, had discriminated against him when he was not rehired as a lecturer in Arabic. According to a letter from Dawkins to Bhuiyan, the EOO found no evidence of discrimination against Bhuiyan, but found that he had discriminated against students earlier.

A student, who wished to remain anonymous, took the University’s first four Arabic classes with Bhuiyan in the 2009-10 and 2010-11 academic years.

She said he made her and other students uncomfortable with “a lot of unwanted advice” about religion.

“Aside from his ability to teach Arabic, which was completely subpar, I was told by him on several occasions that being an Arabic girl in Georgia by myself was not a good idea,” she said.

She said Bhuiyan told her that as a Muslim woman, she shouldn’t live alone without male family members and shouldn’t be working so hard at her job.

“I went to office hours to talk about Arabic, and I got lectures about how I should quit my job and move back to Egypt,” she said. “I was told to join Muslim Student Association, go to Friday prayers, basically ‘be a better Muslim.’ All that made it really hard to interact with him as a teacher.”

The student grew up in Egypt and was raised Muslim, but she said she made it clear to Bhuiyan that she hadn’t practiced Islam since the age of 4.

Wanda Wilcox, an adviser for the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, said another student complained to her about Bhuiyan’s inappropriate remarks about religion.

She said a male student in Bhuiyan’s summer Islam class told her Bhuiyan had said “very aggressive and very dismissive” things to a female student in the class who practiced a different denomination of Islam than Bhuiyan.

“As just a guy who was in there, he felt very badly for the girl that she was being attacked,” Wilcox said. When she learned the EOO was investigating Bhuiyan, she gave the male student’s name to the EOO.

The anonymous student also said Bhuiyan’s comments, rather than distinguishing between Muslims and non-Muslims, distinguished between “good” and “bad” Muslims.

“Our class was basically full of people who were just stunned by the things he said to us,” she said. (Read more.)

Muslims Desecrate Graves of British Soldiers in Libya

The West is still suffering from a terrible delusion. Our leaders really seem to think that if they help Islamists rise to power, the Islamists will be terribly grateful, and will treat us as friends and allies. This delusion caused our leaders to help Muslim rebels overthrow Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi. Now that Islamists are in power, they are desecrating British graves and smashing crosses, while shouting "Allahu Akbar." Perhaps our leaders will eventually learn that Islamists have no concept of gratitude.

LIBYA--A year ago they begged for Britain’s help when Colonel Gaddafi’s tanks encircled their city, threatening annihilation.

Now former Libyan rebels in Benghazi – liberated with the aid of the RAF last March – have systematically desecrated the graves of more than 150 British servicemen killed in North Africa 70 years ago.

Headstones at the Benghazi War Cemetery have been torn down and crucifixes smashed with hammers by a mob of extremists, some carrying guns and dressed in combat fatigues.

More than 1,000 soldiers and airmen who lost their lives in the desert wars of Montgomery and Rommel are buried at the site in Eastern Libya.

Many were members of the famed 7th Armoured Division, known as the Desert Rats, who played a crucial role in the see-saw battle for control of Libya and Egypt between 1941 and 1943.

Graves of RAF pilots were among those shattered by the thugs. It was their job to fly bombing raids – just as the RAF did last year – to assist Lieutenant General Montgomery’s Eighth Army and support commandos clearing routes for tanks.

Sickeningly, the attack, which was carried out over two days last week and appeared highly organised, was filmed by one of the men involved and posted on the internet.

As they rampage among the graves, members of the mob are heard to repeatedly say of the dead servicemen: ‘They are dogs, they are dogs.’

The violence was thought to be retaliation, in part, for the burning of the Koran by US soldiers in Afghanistan last month.

Footage shows the mob methodically kicking down grave after grave. Some are then smashed with hammers. ‘Destroy that cross, they are dogs,’ cries one hooded rebel.

Another voice is heard saying: ‘We begin with this one then we’ll take care of that other one. We won’t leave any left.’

A few seconds later another extremist says: ‘This tomb has a cross on it – a disbeliever.’

As they discover a Jewish grave bearing the Star of David, one of the men says: ‘Look at what it says on it. There is even Israeli writing . . . in Hebrew.’

And in one of the most disturbing sequences, one protester attaches a ladder to the Cross of Remembrance next to the cemetery. He climbs up it and begins hacking at the memorial with a hammer. Then he shouts: ‘Watch out young people. It’s going to fall.’ The cross is then smashed off. (Read more.)
