| Muslim Convert Yusha Evans |
Like so many other converts to Islam (e.g., Samantha Lewthwaite, Adam Gadahn, Richard Dart, John Walker Lindh, Zachary Adam Chesser, Michael Adebolajo, etc.), Yusha has become increasingly radical since he embraced the teachings of Muhammad. Recently, he posted a Facebook message condemning so-called "moderate Muslims," who refuse to conform their lives to Muhammad's true teachings.
He also condemns Muslims who "have love and affection" for unbelievers:
From an Islamic perspective, Yusha is entirely correct. According to the Qur'an, one cannot be a true believer until he accepts Muhammad's decisions with full submission:
Qur'an 4:65—But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.
The Qur'an also plainly declares that Allah has no love for unbelievers:
Qur'an 3:32—Say: Obey Allah and the Apostle; but if they turn back, then surely Allah does not love the unbelievers.
Muslims who obey the Qur'an can't even be friends with Jews or Christians:
Qur'an 5:51—O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.
Yusha obviously understands all of this. Yet whenever I point out that the nice, peaceful, tolerant, fully Westernized, America-loving Muslims endlessly paraded by the media aren't actually following Islam, I'm called a "racist," a "bigot," a "hate-monger," and an "Islamophobe."
Why do popular Muslim speakers like Yusha Evans get to freely condemn "moderate Muslims," while the rest of us are forced to pretend that the only true Islam is Westernized Islam?
