Mississippi: Muslim Newlyweds Jaelyn Delshaun Young and Muhammad Oda Dakhlalla Arrested for Attempting to Join ISIS

Jaelyn Delshaun Young was a sophomore studying chemistry at Mississippi State University. However, after converting to Islam, she hatched a plot to join ISIS by marrying another Muslim student and posing as honeymooners. Her new husband, Muhammad Oda Dakhlalla, has a degree in psychology and was about to start graduate school.

How many more young people have to throw away their lives before we can have an honest discussion about Islam? Will politicians and the media continue to assure us that jihad is the result of joblessness and illiteracy when so many jihadists are highly educated young people with bright futures and loving families?

JACKSON, Mississippi - The would-be blushing bride and groom sat in a Mississippi courtroom Tuesday, side-by-side, facing charges that they tried to join the world's most notorious terrorist organization.

Criminal charges filed Saturday say Jaelyn Delshaun Young, 20, and Muhammad Oda Dakhlalla, 22, were arrested that morning at a regional airport near Columbus, Mississippi, allegedly on their way to join jihad.

Officials say the couple were trying to travel to Syria to join the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS.) And they claim it was the 19-year-old Young who was the mastermind behind the plot to do so, which involved getting married and pretending to be on a honeymoon to get there, reports CBS affiliate WJTV in Jackson.

Both are officially charged with attempting and conspiring to provide material support to a terrorist group. An affidavit by an FBI agent says both confessed their plans after their arrest.

At a second hearing Tuesday in the case in Federal Court in Oxford before U.S. Magistrate Judge S. Allan Alexander, it was unveiled that on social media sites, Young expressed her happiness about the recent shooting in Chattanooga where five service members were killed, reports WJTV.

Judge Alexander Tdenied bail, saying that even though the pair have never been in trouble with the law and have relatives willing to oversee their home confinement, their desire commit terrorism is "probably still there."

Urging the court to keep the suspects in custody, Assistant U.S. Attorney Clay Joyner likened them to Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, saying that like him, they could commit violence with knives, vehicles or homemade weapons.

"They don't need a gun to do harm," Joyner said. "They don't need military training to do harm. What they need is a violent, extremist ideology, and that's exactly what they have espoused." (Continue Reading.)

Muslim Convert Alexander Ciccolo Arrested in Massachusetts for Terrorist Plot

Alexander Ciccolo is the son of Boston Police Captain Robert Ciccolo. After converting to Islam, he was "inspired" by the Boston Marathon Bombing to go on a killing spree.

ABC News—The estranged son of a respected Boston police captain was arrested July 4 by FBI agents as part of a counter-terrorism operation against alleged ISIS-inspired domestic terrorists, federal officials told ABC News today.

Alexander Ciccolo, 23, of Adams, Mass., was taken into custody on gun charges after buying two pistols and two rifles from an undercover FBI confidential informant, federal officials said. In a search of his apartment, officials reported they found it loaded with possible bomb-making equipment including a pressure cooker, a variety of chemicals, an alarm clock, along with “attack planning papers” and “jihad” paperwork. FBI agents said he used the name Abu Ali al-Amriki and neighbors said he was a recent convert to Islam.

“This is a very bad person arrested before he could do very bad things,” one senior federal official briefed on the arrest told ABC News.

According to the FBI, Ciccolo attempted to stab a nurse in the head with a pen during a routine screening, “leaving a hole in the nurse’s skin.”

An FBI affidavit said Ciccolo initially planned to travel to “another state” and use a pressure cooker bomb “to conduct terrorist attacks on civilians, members of the U.S. military and law enforcement personnel.” The FBI said the attack location was later changed to a town with a state university and would be concentrated on “college dorms and cafeteria, to include executions of students, which would be broadcast live via the internet.”

Ciccolo’s father is Boston police Captain Robert Ciccolo, a veteran commander assigned to Operations at Boston Police headquarters who was one of the first responders to the deadly Boston Marathon bombing in April 2013. According to the FBI, the younger Ciccolo said he was “inspired” by the Marathon bombing and the use of pressure cooker bombs, and told the FBI undercover operative, “Allahu Akbar!!! I got the pressure cooker today.”

Law enforcement officials said Capt. Ciccolo alerted counter-terrorism authorities about a year ago that his son, with whom he had had minimal contact for several years, “was going off the deep end” and “spouting extremist jihadist sympathies.”

According to the affidavit of an FBI agent, the younger Ciccolo recently stated that he is, “not afraid to die for the cause," and that he characterized America as ”Satan” and “disgusting.” (Continue Reading.)

Reuters—A North Carolina man has been charged with an alleged plot to buy a semiautomatic rifle which he planned to use to kill Americans to show his support for the Islamic State militant group, the U.S. Department of Justice said on Monday.

Justin Nojan Sullivan, 19, of Morganton, North Carolina, who was arrested Friday, is due to appear in federal court in Charlotte at noon (1600 GMT), said a spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of North Carolina.

Sullivan is charged with one count of attempting to provide material support to Islamic State and two counts of weapons charges.

According to the complaint, Sullivan, who described himself as a Muslim convert, was tracked by the FBI after his father called the police in late April to report his son was trying to burn Buddhist religious objects in their home in an apparent Islamic-State inspired tirade and the family were scared to leave the house.

This month, Sullivan plotted with an undercover FBI agent to buy a semi-automatic rifle at a gun show, telling the agent "the war is here," according to the complaint.

He then asked the agent to send him a homemade silencer as he planned on carrying out "minor assassinations before the big attack for training" and planned to send a video to Islamic State.

He was arrested at his home after receiving the silencer through the mail, prosecutors said. (Continue Reading.)

British Muslim Convert Thomas Evans Dies Fighting for al-Shabab in Kenya

There comes a point when we need to ask ourselves: "What's more important, the lives lost in the name of Islam or the feelings of those who defend it?" So far, politicians and the media are convinced that the feelings of Muslims are far more important than those killed in the name of Allah.

BBC—The mother of a British man killed while fighting for Islamist militant group al-Shabab in Kenya has told the BBC her "whole world has fallen apart".

Sally Evans, from Buckinghamshire, said a journalist had phoned to tell them Muslim convert Thomas, 25, had died.

Her other son Michael said that when he looked on Twitter, the first thing he found was a picture of Thomas's body.

"We remember him as being my brother, your son," he told the BBC. "But to everyone else he's just a terrorist."

Kenyan officials have confirmed that Thomas Evans was killed on Sunday when al-Shabab fighters attacked a military base in the north of the country.

Militants armed with AK47s and grenades raided the base in Lamu County, close to the Somali border, and then stormed a nearby village.

Eleven gunmen were killed in total and two Kenyan soldiers also died.

Evans, who had changed his name to Abdul Hakim, contacted his family in 2012 to say he had travelled to Somalia to join the militant group.

At least 50 British citizens are believed to have joined al-Shabab, an al-Qaeda affiliate based in Somalia, which has been behind a series of high-profile attacks in Kenya and Somalia.

Ms Evans, from Wooburn Green, said she would remember her son as "the little boy who had a bright future before he went down the path he went down".

She said he had met "some people with some very twisted, warped ideas of Islam" in the local area to begin with, and was later influenced by online material. (Continue Reading.)

Muslim Convert Nicholas Rovinski Arrested in Plot to Behead Pamela Geller

Nicholas Rovinski used to be an agnostic. Then he converted to Islam. Now he's in jail for being part of a plot to behead Pamela Geller. He was even in contact with Alan Simpson, one of the jihadists killed in Texas while attempting to storm Geller's art exhibit.

As a Muslim, Rovinski enjoyed playing the guitar, studying outdoor survival, and watching The Deen Show. Any idea how a devout young Muslim convert could ever conclude that his religion commands him to kill critics of Islam? (Hint: Muhammad ordered his followers to kill critics of Islam.)

CNN—Authorities have arrested Nicholas Rovinski of Warwick, Rhode Island, in the Usaamah Rahim terror case, said Boston FBI spokeswoman Kristen Setera. He is the third suspect in the case, sources told have told CNN.

Nicholas Rovinski was arrested at 8:16 p.m. without incident. His home had been previously searched, and he had been questioned by authorities.

Rahim was shot dead by Boston police and FBI agents on Tuesday last week, in a confrontation over an alleged Islamist plot to attack police with knives.

Rovinski was a friend of Rahim and of David Wright, who has been arrested and charged with obstruction.

Law enforcement believed Rahim, who officials think was radicalized by ISIS and initially planned to behead a conservative blogger, was planning to launch his attack the day he died or the following day. He had switched targets to police officers, because they were more accessible, the FBI had said. . . .

In March, Rovinski had shared his Islamist extremist beliefs and motivation to act on them with CNN.

A producer exchanged messages with Rovinski, and during the conversation, the Rhode Island resident described exchanges with an alleged ISIS fighter who urged him to come to Iraq and Syria and join the terrorist group.

The communications were part of research into Americans identifying with jihadists online. Rovinski told CNN he considered following the fighter's call.

On his Twitter account, the Rhode Island resident spoke out against the United States: "Living amung (sic) the enemy."

"Who wishes to see flag of tawheed upon white house," he wrote on March 28. Tawheed, a fundamental principle and saying of Islam, is also a favorite inscription on jihadi flags -- namely ISIS and al Qaeda.

In an online conversation, he said, "I am not violent at heart but push the wrong button and its (sic) not pretty."

On his Twitter account were messages directed at people connected with ISIS, including Mujahid Miski, the online alias of Mohamed Abdullahi Hasan, a former Minnesotan believed to be fighting with Al Shabaab in Somalia.

Miski had also been in direct contact with Alan Simpson, one of the two shooters in the Texas attack on Geller's "Draw Your Own Mohammed" event in May.

Rovinski told CNN in the online exchanges that he would attend services at a mosque near his home but said he never shared his fundamentalist interpretation of Islam with his imam. German Twins Convert to Islam, Join ISIS, Die in Suicide Attacks

Two German twin brothers have died in suicide attacks for the Islamic State. If they had heard the truth about Muhammad prior to converting to Islam, I doubt they would have become Muslims, and they would still be alive. But telling the truth about Muhammad is still met with cries of "Racism!" and "Islamophobia!" So the lies continue to spread, young people continue to convert, and converts continue to die for Allah.

The Local—German twins from Castrop-Rauxel in North Rhine-Westphalia have died fighting for the Islamist group Isis in Iraq, the militia's official magazine reported in its latest publication.

One of the two brothers died in a suicide bombing in April, the magazine 'Dabiq' reports.

Known within the organisation as Abu Mus'ab al-Almani - father of Mus'ab, the German - the 25-year-old is reported to have driven a truck containing seven tonnes of explosives into the headquarters of the 4th Regiment of the Iraqi army in Wilayat Shamal, northwest of Baghdad.

The magazine reports that the subsequent explosion completely destroyed the command centre building.

It also claims that al-Almani had fought for the German 'crusader army' in Afghanistan before joining Isis.

The other brother also died in a suicide attack, reports the magazine.

The brothers converted to Islam recently, reports WAZ. It is unclear when they travelled to Syria or whether the German authorities had been keeping tabs on them. (Continue Reading.)

Daily Telegraph—Jasmina Milovanov, 26, abandoned her two children, aged five and seven, with a babysitter earlier this month before telling friends she was in “Sham” — Arabic slang for Syria.

The Muslim convert or “revert” told the babysitter she was going to pick up a new car when she left her Western Sydney home and never returned. . . .

Following a difficult childhood, Ms Milovanov converted to Islam in her late teens before meeting her Muslim husband in rural NSW. They wed in 2006 but she left several years afterwards, claiming he was not as devout as she wanted. She had reportedly asked him to grow a beard and expressed her desire to live in Western Sydney’s Muslim community.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's Conversion to Islam Led to Oppressive View of Women

One of the NBA's all-time greats, Muslim convert Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, has been defending Islam against criticisms arising from endless terrorist attacks. Actress Pam Grier, has the inside scoop on how Islam affected Abdul-Jabbar's view of women.

Breitbart—NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was born Lew Alcindor in New York City on April 16, 1947. In 1971, at the age of 24, while playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, he converted to Islam and changed his name to one that means “the noble one, servant of the Almighty.” There was, however, an ugly side to Jabbar’s conversion to Islam — a troubling and oppressive attitude towards women.

According to actress Pam Grier’s 2010 autobiography, “Foxy: My Life In Three Acts,” she and Jabbar shared a passionate and serious relationship during the process of his religious conversion. Marriage was on the table. She had already met his parents, and their mutual destinies had launched.

Both were young. He was already a leading NBA scorer and had been named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year. She was 22, impossibly gorgeous, and on the cusp of launching an acting career that would eventually lead to her earning her own status as a legend.

The relationship abruptly changed when Lew asked her to start calling him Kareem. He had begun a conversion to what would become a lifelong commitment to Islam. Immediately, he demanded she stop working. “A conservative man at heart who was getting more so by the day,” Grier writes, “he didn’t want to see his girlfriend working.”

At the time Grier was working as a dancer in a nightclub. The type of work she was doing wasn’t the only issue. He did not want her working at all, and he also wanted her to convert to Islam. His faith told Jabbar he could date a non-Muslim, but not marry one. Her heart set on an education, she didn’t want to move to Milwaukee.

“If we get married, you don’t have to get an education,” was his reply, according to Grier. “I’ll take care of you.”

Although she was a self-described feminist who believed education was the road to empowerment, Grier, who had been raised a Catholic but moved away from all religion, agreed to study the Koran. What she found she didn’t like. Jabbar tried to explain to her that the New Islam was different from what she was reading. To Grier it didn’t sound all that new.

“Then why is the woman, even in the ‘New Islam,’ supposed to walk behind the man. Why can’t we walk side by side?”

Jabbar’s answer to this and many other questions was, “That’s what Allah wants. The man is the leader. That is how it is written.”

He also told her she would be required to be chaperoned and wear a headscarf.

“The truth is that Kareem didn’t want me to work or get an education,” Grier summarizes. “He really just wanted me to be a good Muslim wife, bear his children, walk behind him, and keep my hair covered up with a head scarf. … From what I could see, once a woman converted to Islam and got married, she gave up her individual rights.”

Grier was bugged especially by the fact that in the Middle East some Muslim woman were living in a more progressive society that gave them more freedoms and allowed them to get an education. She writes, “[B]ut Kareem never told me about them. Either he didn’t know or he didn’t want me to know.”

There is no question that although she was conflicted, Grier was madly in love with Jabbar (she says they remain friends to this day) and desperate to find a way to reconcile herself to his rigid view of a woman’s place in the world.

She wanted to make it work.

Then the humiliations came.

One Saturday, Jabbar invited a group of fellow Islamic converts over. Grier expected to spend the day enjoying everyone’s company. These were her friends too, but this was the first time she had seen them since their conversion.

They refused to hug her. They pulled away from her touch as though she were diseased. Then came the real humiliation.

“I wasn’t supposed to speak to them at all, unless I was answering a specific question. I stood there awkwardly, when Kareem said in a quiet voice, ‘You’re supposed to leave the room now, Pam.'”

“For how long?” She asked.

“Until I ask you come back or my friends leave,” was his reply.

Humiliated, she sat alone in the bedroom until Jabbar came in and asked her to make the group sandwiches. She obliged, and after serving the men, Jabbar said, “You have to go now. You can take a sandwich with you.” (Continue Reading.)

Australian Convert Jake Bilardi Dies in ISIS Suicide Attack

Politicians and the media think they're helping Muslims by constantly praising and defending Islam. But by concealing the truth about Islam, they're paving the way for young people to convert to Islam. And when young people convert, some of them actually study Muhammad's teachings and realize they're commanded to wage jihad.

CNN—Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says the government is seeking to confirm reports that an Australian teenager has carried out a suicide attack on behalf of ISIS in Iraq.

"I can confirm that the Australian government is currently seeking to independently verify reports that 18-year-old Melbourne teenager Jake Bilardi has been killed in a suicide bombing attack in the Middle East," she told reporters.

"If these reports are confirmed, this is another tragic example of a young Australian being lured to a senseless and violent death by a brutal terrorist organization that is intent on imposing suffering and misery not only in Iraq and Syria but beyond."

On Wednesday, ISIS claimed that "Abu Abdullah al-Australi," along with four other foreign fighters, had been killed while carrying out suicide attacks during an offensive launched on the city of Ramadi in Iraq.

The claim, issued on a Twitter account associated with the Anbar provincial division of ISIS, was accompanied by a series of 20 images, including a photo of a young man who looked like Bilardi.

The image appeared to show Bilardi at the wheel of a car with the caption, "Abu Abdullah al-Australi (may Allah accept him), the attacker on the 8th Brigade."

The other attackers hailed from Belgium, Syria, Uzbekistan and the Caucasus, the Twitter account claimed. (Continue Reading.)

Peaceful French Teenager Converts to Islam, Heads to Syria to Wage Jihad

When I criticize Islam, people call me a racist, Islamophobic, hate-mongering bigot. But let's be honest here. This teenager just threw his life away by joining the jihad after converting to Islam. Would it really have been "hateful" for someone to tell him the truth about Islam before he converted? Instead, politicians and the media praise Islam and block all open, honest discussion of Muhammad and the Qur'an. This special treatment for Islam leads to conversions, and these conversions produce more jihadists.

Paris—The mother had her suspicions before her 16-year-old son fled from the southeastern French city of Nice to Syria.

Her son was Christian and popular and liked football and making wood sculptures. But she had seen him change, converting to Islam and falling under the influence of an extremist neighbor, refusing to eat with the family and isolating himself in his room.

Still, the mother of four said, “I didn’t know he was going to leave.”

She has sued the French government over what happened next: Bryan (a pseudonym used in court papers) said he was going to a sleepover, but instead, accompanied by some friends, he went to an airport and boarded a flight to Turkey using his national identification card, eventually making his way to Syria.

“How could they let him leave for Turkey with his ID card? They should have called me,” said the woman, who asked to be identified only by her first name, Nadine, 39, because of the pending court case.

Nadine said when her son didn’t return the morning after the sleepover, she spoke with neighbors who told her where the youths had gone. She said she contacted police, but they did not take her complaint seriously.

“They listened but I had the impression that they were not really listening,” she said.

Three years ago, an administrative change by the government allowed youths with valid identification to leave the country without a parent’s permission. Since then, dozens of youths have left for Syria via Turkey. (Continue Reading.)

Muslim Convert Michael Zehaf-Bibeau Identified as Canadian Parliament Shooter

We'll need to wait for an investigation to get accurate details, but several news sources are identifying the Canadian Parliament shooter as Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, a Canadian convert to Islam. An Islamic State Twitter page released a photo, which supposedly shows Zehaf-Bibeau in jihadist attire.

Daily Mail—A gunman shot dead a Canadian soldier at the National War Memorial in Ottawa today before exchanging dozens of shots with guards inside Parliament in a terrifying attack that left the nation's capital on lockdown.

Gunman Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, who reportedly recently converted to Islam, fatally shot Corporal Nathan Cirillo, a 24-year-old father, as he stood guard at the War Memorial on Wednesday morning.

Zehaf-Bibeau then ran inside the Parliament, where he opened fire before he was shot dead by the House of Commons Sergeant-at-Arms.

Zehaf-Bibeau was born in Quebec as Michael Joseph Hall but recently converted to Islam,CBS reported. His attack comes just two days after another Canadian soldier was killed in Quebec by a man with jihadist sympathies.

Authorities initially said they believed 'two or three' gunmen were responsible for the attack in Ottawa on Wednesday, but at an afternoon press conference, Chief of Police Charles Bordeleau would not confirm whether or not they are still searching for other shooters. (Continue Reading.)

Muslim Convert Jennifer Williams and Her Islamic State Fans

Muslim convert Jennifer Williams

In the past two weeks, Muslim convert Jennifer Williams has gone from 60 Twitter followers to more than 10,000. She reports, however, that "a healthy number of them are Islamic extremists, including no small number of supporters of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). A lot of them live in Saudi Arabia. And some of them want to marry me."

Who would have guessed that jihadists are interested in blonde-haired American converts to Islam? Only anyone who knows anything about jihadists.

Williams, of course, is not interested in jihad, because, as is typical of Western converts, she knows far more about Islam than the jihadists who actually do what Islam commands. She's even read the Qur'an! Here's her story:

If you were to pass me on the street, you would never suspect I’m a Muslim: I don’t wear hijab. I have platinum blonde hair and blue eyes. And I am heavily tattooed. I grew up in Texas and was raised Southern Baptist. I use the word “y’all” a lot—and not ironically. But I am Muslim. I also speak Arabic and hold a Master’s degree in International Security with a focus on terrorism and the Middle East. Several years ago, I realized that although I had long studied, analyzed, and written about Islamic political theory and how jihadist ideologues like Osama bin Laden use the Qur’an to justify their heinous acts of violence, I had never actually read the Qur’an. So I read it—and what I found in its pages changed my life. I found answers to questions about faith and belief and morality that had been plaguing me since my youth. I found the connection to God I thought I had lost. And three years ago, I converted to Islam.

Williams says she is a Muslim, and, by Western definitions (according to which anyone who says "I am an X" is therefore an X), she is undeniably correct. But is she a Muslim according to Islam? Though many readers assume that anyone who recites the Shahada is a Muslim, Allah has far more specific requirements.

Consider, for instance, what the Qur'an says about having Jewish or Christian friends:

Qur'an 5:51—O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

Notice what Allah says here. If you have Jewish and Christian friends, you're not a Muslim ("whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them"). But Williams, as a delightful Texas girl, has no shortage of Christian and Jewish friends. Apparently, she knows better than Allah.

As for the jihadists she condemns, consider the distinction Allah draws between Muslims who wage jihad and those who sit at home:

Qur'an 4:95—Those of the believers who sit still, other than those who have a (disabling) hurt, are not on an equality with those who strive in the way of Allah with their wealth and lives. Allah hath conferred on those who strive with their wealth and lives a rank above the sedentary. Unto each Allah hath promised good, but He hath bestowed on those who strive a great reward above the sedentary.

But here again, Williams knows better than Allah. After all, she read the whole Qur'an!

Williams goes on to explain what drew her to Islam:

Just to be clear: I detest the twisted interpretations of Islam espoused by the likes of Al Qaeda and ISIS just as much today as I did before I converted—in fact, probably more so, since now I see it not only as a sick bastardization of a beautiful religion, but a sick bastardization of my beautiful religion. When I read the Qur’an, I find a God who is beneficent, who is merciful, and who cherishes mankind. I find a religion that encourages independent thought, compassion for humanity, and social justice. The jihadis claim to love these same things about Islam, but have somehow decided that the best way to share God’s message of mercy and compassion with the world is to blow up mosques and behead humanitarian aid workers. Great plan, guys.

Let's go through her claims about Islam one at a time.

(1) "I find a God who is beneficent, who is merciful, and who cherishes mankind."

The Qur'an certainly declares that Allah is beneficent and merciful, but not in the way a typical Westerner would interpret these words (more on this below). As for Allah cherishing mankind, I have no clue what Qur'an Williams is reading. Here's what the Qur'an says:

Qur'an 2:190—"Allah does not love those who exceed the limits."
Qur'an 2:276—"Allah does not love any ungrateful sinner."
Qur'an 3:32—"Allah does not love the unbelievers."
Qur'an 3:57—"Allah does not love the unjust. "
Qur'an 4:36—"Allah does not love him who is proud, boastful."
Qur'an 7:31—"[Allah] does not love the extravagant."
Qur'an 8:58—"Allah does not love the treacherous. "
Qur'an 28:77—"Allah does not love the mischief-makers."
Qur'an 57:23—"Allah does not love any arrogant boaster."

The Qur'an plainly declares that Allah has no love for most people (because most people fall into at least one of the above categories). To see what Allah's beneficence and mercy really amount to, let's take a closer look at one of the above verses:

Qur'an 3:31-32—Say: If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your faults, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Say: Obey Allah and the Apostle; but if they turn back, then surely Allah does not love the unbelievers.

Notice that Allah only loves those who accept the message of Islam. Allah has no love for those who reject Islam. What Allah's "beneficence" and "mercy" amount to, then, is that if you turn to Allah in repentance, and you obey Muhammad, Allah will then love you. How does this qualify as "cherishing mankind"? Allah clearly states that he has nothing but contempt for Christians, Jews, and idolaters, going so far as to call us "the worst of creatures":

Qur'an 98:6—Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures.

So Williams claims that Allah cherishes mankind, while Allah claims that he despises everyone except obedient Muslims. It seems that Western converts like Williams know more about Allah than Allah knows about himself! Perhaps they should rewrite the Qur'an for him, so that people like me won't be so confused!

Moving on . . .

(2) "I find a religion that encourages independent thought, compassion for humanity, and social justice."

Oh my goodness. Independent thought? Allah demands mindless obedience. Consider a few verses:

Qur'an 4:65—But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission.

Muslims can "have no faith" until they "find in themselves no resistance" against Muhammad's decisions. Any critical thinking about Muhammad's decisions is therefore a sign of apostasy! (Note: In reading Williams' comments about Islam, we can see that she "finds resistance" against many of Muhammad's decisions. But the Qur'an condemns such "independent thought.") Here's another:

Qur'an 33:36—It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter, that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error.

Notice again that believers "have no option" but mindless obedience.

The Qur'an even commands Muslims not to ask too many questions, because such questioning may lead them away from Islam:

Qur'an 5:101-102—O ye who believe! Ask not questions about things which, if made plain to you, may cause you trouble. But if ye ask about things when the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be made plain to you, Allah will forgive those: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most-forbearing. Some people before you did ask such questions, and on that account lost their faith.

Think about this. Allah will give you clear answers in the Qur'an (which Muslims must mindlessly obey). Apart from that, questions aren't exactly welcome. Somehow, Williams reads this and concludes that Islam encourages independent thought!

What about "compassion for humanity"? As we have seen, Allah only loves obedient Muslims. But Allah also commands his followers to treat people accordingly. Thus, he commands Muslims to show mercy only towards fellow Muslims:

Qur'an 48:29—Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves.

So "compassion for humanity" really means "compassion for fellow Muslims only."

As for "social justice," Islam is diametrically opposed to the most basic principles of social justice. Islam allows Muslim men to beat their wives into submission (Qur'an 4:34) and to rape their female captives and slave girls (Qur'an 4:24). Islam allows Muslim men to have sex with prepubescent girls (Qur'an 65:4). Islam commands Muslims to execute anyone who leaves the religion (Sahih al-Bukhari 6878, 6921, 6922). Islam commands adherents to violently subjugate non-Muslims and to extort money from them (Qur'an 9:29; Sahih al-Bukhari 6924). I am not aware of any mainstream ideology on the planet that is more detrimental to social justice than Islam.

(3) "The jihadis claim to love these same things about Islam, but have somehow decided that the best way to share God's message of mercy and compassion with the world is to blow up mosques and behead humanitarian aid workers. Great plan, guys."

Here Williams mocks the jihadists for spreading Islam by the sword. But that plan comes from Allah and Muhammad, not from ISIS.

Qur'an 9:29—Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Qur'an 9:123—O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).

Sahih Muslim 33—The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.

So here's the sad reality. Jennifer Williams, like most Western converts to Islam, is completely clueless about what Islam actually teaches. Yet she puts herself forward as a true follower of Islam, opposing herself to Islamic State jihadists who follow the Qur'an to the letter.

This is, of course, quite common in the West, where people have absorbed the cultural principle that they're free to believe whatever they want to believe. Westerners then carry this principle over to Islam, and they assume that they can believe whatever they want about Islam. While this is true from a Western perspective, it's completely false from an Islamic perspective. Muslims, according to the Qur'an, are not free to believe whatever they want to believe and still call themselves Muslims. The Qur'an calls such Muslims "hypocrites" and orders Muhammad to wage jihad against them (9:73).

The saddest part is that Williams is ultimately serving the jihadists, whether she knows it or not. ISIS is slaughtering apostates (as Islam commands), subjugating hypocrites and unbelievers (as Islam commands), raping female captives (as Islam allows), seizing property (as Islam allows), collecting jizyah (as Islam commands), and so on. Meanwhile, Williams and other Western apologists for Islam protect the Qur'an and Muhammad from criticism, thus allowing the ideology of jihadists to spread unchecked.

Muslim Convert Alton Nolen Beheads Woman in Oklahoma

Alton Nolen converted to Islam and then began preaching the message of Muhammad to his co-workers. After he was fired, he decided to go on a killing spree, beheading one woman and injuring another before being shot. Coincidence, or jihad?

Fox News—FBI officials are investigating a beheading at an Oklahoma food distribution center after co-workers said the suspect tried to convert them to Islam after his recent conversion.

The alleged suspect, Alton Nolen, 30, was recently fired from Vaughan Foods in Moore prior to Thursday’s attack. Moore Police Department Sgt. Jeremy Lewis told KFOR that Nolen drove to the front of the business and struck a vehicle before walking inside. He then attacked Colleen Hufford, 54, stabbing her several times before severing her head. He also stabbed another woman, 43-year-old Traci Johnson, at the plant.

Lewis said Mark Vaughan, the company’s chief operating officer and a reserve county deputy, shot Nolen as he was stabbing Johnson, who remains hospitalized in stable condition Friday.

“He’s a hero in this situation,” Lewis told the station. “It could have gotten a lot worse.”

Nolen was apparently attacking employees at random, authorities said. The motive for the attack is unclear, but FBI officials confirmed to Fox News that they were assisting the Moore Police Department in investigating Nolen's background and whether his recent conversion to Islam was somehow linked to the crime.

The police department issued a statement saying, "After conducting interviews with Nolen's co-workers, information was obtained that he recently started trying to convert several employees to the Muslim religion. Due to the manner of death and the initial statements of co-workers and other initial information, the Moore Police Department requested the assistance of the FBI in conducting a background investigation on Nolan."

Nolen, according to state corrections records, was convicted in January 2011 of multiple felony drug offenses, assault and battery on a police officer and escape from detention. He was released from prison in March 2013.

American Convert Douglas McCain Dies Fighting for ISIS in Syria

Douglas McCain was raised as a Christian, but no one was concerned when he converted to Islam. He recently traveled to Syria to wage jihad in the name of Allah, as the Qur'an commands (see 9:29, 9:73, 9:111, 9:123, etc.). How many more converts need to die waging jihad before politicians and the media will start telling people the truth about Islam?

(CNN) — An American named Douglas McCain was killed last weekend in Syria, where he was fighting for ISIS, two U.S. officials told CNN.

The man's uncle, Ken McCain, said that his nephew had gone to fight as a jihadi and that the U.S. State Department told the family Monday about the death.

He died in a battle between rival extremist groups in the suburbs of Aleppo, Syria's once-bustling commercial capital and largest city, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a British-based group that monitors the conflict.

Like the U.S. officials, the group described McCain as an ISIS fighter and said he was killed in a battle with the al-Nusra Front, an al Qaeda-linked organization that the U.S. government has blacklisted as a foreign terror organization.

According to his uncle, Douglas McCain's journey to Syria began sometime after he converted several years ago from Christianity to Islam.

The family wasn't alarmed by his conversion, but they became aware of Facebook posts sympathetic to ISIS, an Islamist terror group, when he traveled to what they believed to be Turkey.

U.S. counterterrorism investigators had been looking into Douglas McCain's activities for some time before his death, one U.S. official said.

He was among a list of Americans who are believed to have joined militant groups and who would be stopped and subjected to additional scrutiny if he traveled, according to the official. (Continue Reading.)

Colorado Muslim Convert Shannon Conley Pleads Guilty to Attempting to Join Islamic State (ISIS)

Politicians and the media defend Muhammad and the Qur'an through outright deception. Since people never hear the truth about Islam, and only hear praises from our leaders, young people like Shannon Conley are happy to convert to Islam when a Muslim preacher arrives. Some of these converts then examine the Qur'an to see what Allah commands them to do. And they read:

Qur’an 9:29—Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Imagine what would have happened if someone had told Conley the truth about Islam before she converted. She would have her whole life ahead of her.

DENVER - A 19-year-old Arvada woman accused of trying to help a foreign terrorist organization plans to plead guilty in the case.

Federal documents filed Friday say an agreement has been reached in the case against Shannon Conley of Arvada. Details of the agreement weren't part of the court filing, but Conley's public defender Robert Pepin asked to schedule a change of plea hearing.

A federal criminal complaint states that between Sept. 7, 2013 and April 8, 2014, Shannon Maureen Conley, together with others, tried to provide material support and resources, including personnel and expert advice, to a foreign terrorist organization.

Conley, a Muslim convert, was arrested April 8 at Denver International Airport after telling FBI agents she was traveling to Syria to use her American military training from the U.S. Army Explorers to aid Islamic militants waging jihad -- or holy war -- even though she knew that it was illegal, according to federal court records.

She said "legitimate targets of attack" included U.S. military bases, government employees and public officials, the documents say.

Against her parents wishes, Conley planned to marry a Tunisian man, who was fighting in Syria for Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), an al-Qaida splinter group. She'd met the man online and communicated with him on Skype.

Conley is charged with conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization.

Authorities began investigating Conley on Nov. 5, 2013, after a call from the pastor at Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada who saw Conley taking notes at the church. (Continue Reading.)

Muslim Convert Shannon Maureen Conley Arrested on Terrorism Charges

I'm called a racist and a bigot when I say that the Qur'an commands Muslims to violently subjugate unbelievers. But have you ever noticed that a disproportionately large number of Muslim converts conclude that Islam commands them to violently subjugate unbelievers? Are these Muslims racists and bigots for saying exactly what I say about Islam?

DENVER (AP) - FBI agents tried more than once to discourage a 19-year-old suburban Denver woman who said she was intent on waging jihad in the Middle East before arresting her in April as she boarded a flight she hoped would ultimately get her to Syria, court documents unsealed Wednesday show.

Shannon Maureen Conley had told agents that she wanted to use her American military training from the U.S. Army Explorers to start a holy war overseas, even though she knew that it was illegal, according to the newly released federal court records. Her "legitimate targets of attack" included military facilities, government employees and public officials, the documents say.

Conley, a Muslim convert, was arrested April 8 at Denver International Airport, telling agents she planned to live with a suitor she met online, apparently a Tunisian man who claimed to be fighting for an al-Qaida splinter group, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The militant group also known as ISIL or ISIS has recently overrun parts of Iraq and Syria.

Conley has been charged with conspiring to help a foreign terrorist organization. Her federal public defender did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

A nurse's aide, Conley told investigators she planned to fly to Turkey and then travel to Syria to become a housewife and a nurse at the man's camp, providing medical services and training.

FBI agents became aware of Conley's growing interest in extremism in November after she started talking about terrorism with employees of a suburban Denver church who found her wandering around and taking notes on the layout of the campus, according to the court documents. The church, Faith Bible Chapel in Arvada, was the scene of a 2007 shooting in which a man killed two missionary workers.

She spoke with agents several times after that, telling them of her desire for jihad, the records state. The agents tried openly to dissuade her, urging her instead to support Muslims through humanitarian efforts, which she told them was not an option.

"Conley felt that Jihad is the only answer to correct the wrongs against the Muslim world," the documents say. (Continue Reading.)

French Atheist Nicolas Bons Dies Waging Jihad After Converting to Islam

We live in a time of unparalleled idiocy. Islam commands its adherents to violently subjugate or kill unbelievers (Qur'an 9:29, 9:73, 9:123, etc.). Because some Muslims ignore these commands, we pretend that the commands don't exist. Meanwhile, Muslims who actually follow the commands are busy waging jihad, and the only thing our leaders and the media do in response is praise Islam and condemn critics of Islam. Politicians and the media thus help protect the message of Islam, and this leads to more conversions, which leads to more jihad.

Nicolas Bons was raised as an atheist, and he was known for being timid. After he converted to Islam, he became increasingly violent, and he died in a terrorist attack in Syria. Was his violent behavior following his conversion to Islam a mere coincidence?

To all those who constantly assure us that Islam is no different from other religions, do you think that Nicolas would have died in such an attack if he had converted to Christianity, or to Mormonism, or to Buddhism?

TOULOUSE, France — When Dominique Bons' timid son stopped smoking overnight and started praying frequently at his home in the southern French city of Toulouse, she alerted the authorities.

They did nothing because Nicolas was not suspected of any crime. One day last year he disappeared. Then Bons was sent a text message saying the 30-year-old had been "martyred" on December 22 driving a truck bomb in the Syrian city of Homs.

He grew up in a middle class suburb to atheist parents but converted to Islam in 2009. Like his younger half-brother who died in Syria months earlier, he joined the al Qaeda splinter group, Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

They are among a growing number of people, an estimated 2,000 so far, who have left European states to fight alongside Islamist rebels in Syria to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad. Europe's authorities are struggling to stem the flow.

Bons is angry that her efforts to alert the government to a potential problem were ignored and is also convinced that the strategy of France and other European countries of jailing those caught trying to get to Syria makes the situation worse.

"It's crazy," said Bons, a retired military secretary who has set up a support group for parents of children who have been radicalized. "In jail they will be reinforced in their desire to go back to Syria... It seems like they (the government) are doing whatever they can to ensure that this continues."

In March, three men aged 21 to 26 were arrested at an airport in eastern France for sentenced to between two and six years for conspiracy to commit terrorist acts.

The population of French prisons is estimated to be up to 70 percent Muslim. Moderate preachers employed by the state are lacking, so a void is filled by untrained imams who preach a Salafist or hardline form of Islam and hatred of the West.

Radical Islamist Mohamed Merah, who killed seven people in and around Toulouse in 2012, is thought to have sharpened some of his ideas during a stint in jail. (Continue Reading.)

Muslim Convert Nicholas Michael Teausant (aka Ased Abdur-Raheem) Arrested for Attempting to Join Terrorist Group

After converting to Islam, Nicholas Michael Teausant (who goes by his Islamic name, Ased Abdur-Raheem) somehow got the idea that he is supposed to obey Allah's command in Qur'an 9:29 to "fight those who do not believe in Allah" (instead of completely ignoring the verse, as most Westernized Muslims do).

Like so many other converts to Islam who appear in the news due to terrorism charges, Teausant came from a Christian family. One day on Facebook, Teausant quoted a verse of the Qur'an that supports women's rights (the right of women to get brutally beaten by their husbands):

Teausant's father quoted the Bible to counter the oppressive Qur'anic command.

Brian also responded when he saw that his son had posted a disturbing image:

Teausant is a Muslim, however, so he wasn't persuaded by the Bible or by his father. Instead, he was planning to become the new face of terrorism in the Middle East.

Amazingly, Teausant is a member of the U.S. Army National Guard (though he hasn't been able to pass some required tests). One can only wonder why he wasn't kicked out long ago, especially when he posts comments defending terrorists:

(This is reminiscent of Major Nidal Malik Hasan, whose obvious jihadist sympathies weren't seriously questioned by his superiors, who were too worried about being labeled "racists" or "Islamophobes" to press him on his views.)

Meanwhile, Muslim organizations, politicians, and the media continue to assure us that Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance, that it's no different from other religions, and that anyone who dares quote what the Qur'an actually commands about jihad must be a hate-filled bigot. We can only wonder how many Muslim converts will have to turn to terrorism before we're allowed to start wondering whether there's something different about Islam.

Reuters—A California man who prosecutors say was on his way to Syria to join an al-Qaeda splinter group was arrested on Monday near the U.S.-Canada border in Washington state on a terrorism charge, federal officials said.

The U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement that 20-year-old Nicholas Teausant, an American-born convert to Islam, had planned to cross into Canada and travel on to Syria to join Islamist militants.

A criminal complaint outlining the accusations against Teausant said he wanted to join an al Qaeda splinter group, the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, which it said was also known as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

"My designs have me staying there [in Syria] and being on every news station in the world," the criminal complaint quoted Teausant as telling an FBI informant last month.

"I'm going to be a commander and I'm going to be on the front of every single newspaper in the country," he said. "Like I want my face on FBI's top 12 most wanted. Because that means I'm doing something right."

The complaint said Teausant planned to join the group to engage in jihad, or Islamic holy struggle, and to fight the Western-backed Free Syrian Army, which is battling the government of President Bashar al-Assad in that country's civil war.

ISIL, a small but powerful force that emerged from the Sunni Islamist insurgency in neighboring Iraq and has attracted many foreign militants to its ranks, opposes the Assad government but has also fought rival rebel factions.

Teausant also spoke of wanting to target the subway system in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day, according to the U.S. complaint, but discontinued his involvement over fears authorities had caught wind of it.

Teausant was arrested near the border in Blaine, Washington, on a charge of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization. A student at San Joaquin Delta Community College in Stockton, California, he was also a member of the U.S. Army National Guard, enlisting in 2012. (Continue Reading.)
