Surah 2:238 of the ZSE (Zaid Standard Edition of the Qur'an) reads as follows: "Attend constantly to prayers and to the middle prayer and stand up truly obedient to Allah."
So we have (1) "prayers," and (2) "the middle prayer."
According to Aisha, something is missing from this Ayah in the ZSEQ.
Jami At-Tirmidhi 2982--Abu Yunus, the freed slave of Aishah, said: "Aisha ordered me to write a Mushaf for her, and she said: 'When you get to this Ayah then tell me: Guard strictly (the five obligatory) prayers, and the middle Salat.' So when I reached it, I told her and she dictated to me: 'Guard strictly (the five obligatory) prayers, and the middle Salat, and Salat Al-Asr. And stand before Allah with obedience.' She said: 'I heard that from the Messenger of Allah.'"
Thus, according to the Mother of the Faithful, when Muhammad recited this Ayah, it referred to (1) "prayers," (2) "the middle prayer," and (3) "Salat Al-Asr." The Ayah we have in the Zaid Standard Edition, then, is not the same as the Ayah that Muhammad recited. And yet, somehow, the Qur'an has been perfectly preserved!

Ibn Mas'ud on Zaid's Mushaf
According to Ibn Mas'ud, Muhammad's top teacher of the Qur'an, Muslims are to "avoid copying the Mushaf and recitation" of Zaid ibn Thabit. Unfortunately, that's all Muslims have today!
Jami At-Tirmidhi 3104--Az-Zuhri said: "Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utbah informed me that Abdullah bin Mas'ud disliked Zaid bin Thabit copying the Musahif, and he said: 'O you Muslim people! Avoid copying the Mushaf and recitation of this man. By Allah! When I accepted Islam he was but in the loins of a disbelieving man'--meaning Zaid bin Thabit--and it was regarding this that Abdullah bin Mas'ud said: 'O people of Al-Iraq! Keep the Musahif that are with you, and conceal them. For indeed Allah said: And whoever conceals something, he shall come with what he concealed on the Day of Judgement. So meet Allah with the Musahif.'"

Think about All the Stuff You'll Get in Heaven . . . and Fight!

Step One: Appeal to people's desires by telling them about all the stuff they'll get in Paradise.
Step Two: Once they're drooling for all the stuff they'll get in Paradise, tell them to go slay the infidel.

By the Lord of the Ka'bah, it is sparkling light, sweet basil waving in the breeze, a lofty palace, a flowing river, abundant ripe fruit, a beautiful wife and many fine garments, in a place of eternal abode, in ease and luxury, in beautiful, strongly-built, lofty houses.' They said: 'We will strive hard for it, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Say: In sha' Allah (if Allah wills).' Then he mentioned Jihad and encouraged them to engage in it."

Islam and the Crusades: A Warped Perspective
Not long ago, a Muslim named Muhammad posted a comment about the invasion of Palestine by the Crusaders. He said:
While Christians are certainly ashamed about many of the events that occurred during the Crusades, we have to be honest about the facts. (We should also point out that, while Christians are ashamed by many of the things done in the name of Jesus, we rarely see Muslims complaining about the atrocities committed by their leaders during the same time period. Indeed, Muhammad tells us that we should "thank God for the likes of Saladin.") The simple fact is that the Crusades were launched because Muslims were attacking Europe. European leaders, concerned about Muslim invasions of Western, Central, and Eastern Europe, decided to take the battle to the Middle East. They therefore rounded up a European army (many of them pagans) and attacked the Muslim empire.
It only seems fair to provide a brief timeline. I've taken the dates and material from historian Paul Crawford's "A Deadly Give and Take."
638--Jerusalem surrenders to a Muslim army. Muslims soon begin construction of a mosque on the Temple Mount. The leader of Jerusalem wept as he said: "Truly this is the Abomination of Desolation spoken of by Daniel the Prophet."
640s--Egypt and Armenia fall to Islam.
655--Muslims win a naval battle with the Byzantines; Muslims almost capture the Byzantine emperor.
711-712--Muslims invade Spain and kill the king. After the collapse of the Spanish army, Muslims begin sending raiding parties into France.
717--In the East, Muslims besiege Constantinople, the Byzantine capital.
732--The Muslim invasion of France is stopped at the Battle of Tours (though Muslims would continue raiding France for a long period).
800s--Muslims launch invasions of Sicily, Sardinia, and Corsica (south-central Europe). Muslims establish pirate havens along the coast of Italy and France.
846--Muslims attack the outer areas of Rome.
1009--An unorthodox Muslim leader named Hakim (a vicious persecutor of Christians and Jews) orders the destruction of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Many Jews and Christians flee persecution.
1071--A Byzantine army is defeated by invading Muslims. In the years to come, Byzantine emperors send numerous appeals to Rome for help.
1091--Muslim leaders expel all Christian priests from the Holy Land.
1095--Christians and non-Christians in Europe begin preparing for the First Crusade.
1099--Crusaders take Jerusalem.
How do Muslims portray these events? The Muslim version of history goes something like this: "Muslims were just sitting around in the Middle East, minding their own business, living in peace with everyone, when a bunch of evil Christians decided to go on a killing spree." Of course, the invading European army committed all kinds of atrocities during the Crusades, as did the Muslim army. But we have to face the facts. The Crusades only happened because Europeans wanted to protect themselves from the invading Muslim armies. Like it or not, the Crusades did help stop the Muslim invasion of Europe.
We should take note of the Muslim view of the Crusades. As we've seen repeatedly on this blog, no one has a right to defend themselves against Muslims. If Muslims attack the caravans of the Meccans and start killing people, the Meccans should do nothing to defend themselves. If Muslims bomb Israel, the Israelis are supposed to take the bombings patiently, without retaliation. If Muslims invade Europe, the West should let it happen without lifting a finger to defend itself.
Of course, when Islam is attacked or insulted in any way, different rules apply. If people leave Islam, they must be killed. If someone draws a cartoon or makes a movie about Islam, he must die. If Israel does anything against any Muslim in the world, all Jews must die.
Strange beliefs.

The Methodology of a Suicide Bomber Recruiter

(1) Organize the rape of a young woman.
(2) Convince her that the only way to regain her honor is to die in a suicide bombing.
(3) Load the young woman up with bombs.
What could be more simple (provided you have absolutely no morals)?
Interestingly, Muslim terrorist organizations don't just use rape to shame women into carrying out their terrorist plots. Evidence shows that Muslims are even raping young men in an effort to psychologically manipulate them.

Will Muslims Take Female Captives Even in Paradise?

Female Suicide Bomber Recruiter Samira Ahmed Jassim Captured
A middle-aged woman suspected of recruiting more than 80 female suicide bombers has been arrested by Iraqi forces, a senior officer said today.
Samira Ahmed Jassim, 51, confessed to dispatching 28 of the women to carry out attacks, said Major-General Qassim al-Moussawi, a Baghdad security spokesman. She was captured at an undisclosed location a fortnight ago. READ MORE.

In the year 630, Muslims conquered Mecca. Not wanting a bloodbath, the polytheists surrendered without a fight.
It's time to set things right. Muslims should give Mecca back to polytheists. Polytheists should be allowed to take back their temple (the Ka'ba) and fill it with their gods. The polytheists can then continue with their ancient pagan practices (e.g. ablutions, taking the pilgrimage to Mecca, circling the Ka'ba, kissing the black stone, etc.).
Polytheists are people too, and they have rights (not simply the right to convert to Islam or die).
Free Mecca! (I think this would make a good T-shirt slogan.)

Campaigns against Polygamy Showing Signs of Success in Indonesia
Jakarta, 2 Feb. (AKI) - A growing number of Muslim women are choosing to file for divorce rather than continue in a polygamous marriage, according to data from Islamic courts in Indonesia.
The number of women who cited polygamy as a reason for seeking divorce rose from 813 in 2004 to over 1,000 in 2006, according to Nasaruddin Umar, senior representative of Indonesia's religious affairs ministry.
“There has been a significant increase in divorce because women have been rejecting polygamy in recent years,” he said, quoted by the Indonesian daily, The Jakarta Post. READ MORE.

Sunan Ibn Majah 2088--It was narrated that Abdullah bin Umar said: "I had a wife whom I loved, but my father hated her. Umar mentioned that to the Prophet, and he ordered me to divorce her, so I divorced her."
Sunan Ibn Majah 2089--It was narrated from Abdur-Rahman that a man's father or mother . . . ordered him to divorce his wife, and he made a vow that he would free one hundred slaves if he did that. He came to Abu Darda while he was praying . . . Then he asked him, and Abu Darda said: "Fulfill your vow and honor your parents." Abu Ad-Darda said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah say: '(Honoring) one's father may lead one to enter through the best of the gates of Paradise; so take care of your parents, (it is so, whether you take care of them) or not.'"

Muhammad Sells a Slave Whose Master Had Promised Him Freedom
Sunan Ibn Majah 2512--It was narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah sold a Mudabbar [i.e. a man who had been promised freedom after his master's death].
Sunan Ibn Majah 2513--It was narrated that Jabir bin Abdullah said: "A man among us promised freedom to a slave after his death, and he did not have any property other than him (this slave). So the Prophet sold him, and Ibn (Nahham), a man from Banu Adi, bought him."
