Why Muslims Pray to Muhammad
Muslims often claim that Islam is the religion of pure submission to Allah. However, in their daily prayers, Muslims say, "As-salamu alaika ay-yuhan nabiy-yu,” which means, "Peace be upon YOU, O Prophet." Since Muslims are directly addressing Muhammad during their daily prayers, they're assuming that Muhammad can hear them. This requires the divine attribute of omnipresence on Muhammad's part.

Doesn't the Koran say there's no intercession?
"Have fear of a Day when no self will be able to compensate for another in any way. No Intercession will be accepted from it, no ransom taken from it, and they will not be wronged." (Qur'an 2:48 as well as 2:123)
"Believers, give away some of what We have provided for you before a Day arrives on which there is no trading, no close friendship and no intercession. It is the disbelievers who are the wrongdoers." (Qur'an 2:254)
"Warn by it (the Qur'an) those who fear they will be gathered to their Lord, having no protector or intercessor apart from Him, so hopefully they will guard against evil." (Qur'an 6:51)

@ David, it is not Muhammad responsible to be partner with his Allah, it is Muhammad’s Allah who made Muhammad a partner in making 114 surah. surah 9:29 proved that Allah made surah along with Muhammad; 9:29 “..Fight those ….. who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful”. Here Allah said clearly at the end “…. what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful”. So Muhammad had quality of making law along with his Allah; he was partner/co-author in making surah. Praying to Muhammad is totally Islamic as you said in this video.
I hope Dr. Zakir Naik got your message that Allah has a partner who intercede to his Allah for Muslims prayer.
