I remember a Muslim apologist, might've been Shabir Ally, tried to argue that Surah 4:157; they were speaking 'sarcastically' when declaring Jesus as the Messiah. Is that the context of Shabir Ally's sound bite?
The Holly Quran is deniying that Jews have killed Jesus ,and the term Masaiah Here is used so that Christian can 't say that the Quran is talking about other person not the Jesus son of marry,also not all Jews have deniyed that Jesus is Masaiah for example Jesus friends also were Jews before they belived in him even Jesus is considered as a Jews because he is practicing a Jews law .he came to fulfill the commandments not to destroy it.
Son of God (Jesus) was never a man, he became a man in the time zone to carry the sins of this world as a sacrificial Lamb. If he had come in all His Power & Glory there would not have been any link or connection with mankind, as the whole world would have been consumed. If you read Isaiah 30: 26/27,"The light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, on the day the LORD binds up the fracture of His people and heals the bruise He has inflicted. 27. Behold, the name of the LORD comes from a remote place; Burning is His anger and dense is His smoke; His lips are filled with indignation And His tongue is like a consuming fire;… . If, Jesus had in all his power and glory the world would have been consumed and this is the reason why he had to lower himself. If you consider Moses's instance where God told him that you can not live after seeing me. Hope this will clarify any doubt Muslims have on this issue.

If the Jews Knowing that Jesus is the Prophesied Messiah, but still proceeded to kill Him is just so mindless and idiotic statement made by the clueless & ignorant koran!
The majority of Jews who pushed for Jesus's death DID NOT believe that He is the prophesied Messiah, rejected Jesus as the Messiah, THEREFORE they would not call him Messiah!

What does "fulfillment" mean to you?
