iERA, Dawahman, and Hamza Tzortzis Are Concerned about the Growing Response to So-Called Scientific Evidences for the Qur'an

Some Muslims will say anything in defense of Islam, and some people are so gullible that they convert to Islam after hearing a load of outright deception.

For the past few decades, Muslims have been relying heavily on so-called "scientific evidences" for the divine inspiration of the Qur'an. The claim is that, because the Qur'an contains numerous scientifically accurate statements that couldn't have been known by Muhammad, the Qur'an must be the Word of Allah.

The problem is that the Qur'an doesn't contain a single scientifically accurate statement that couldn't have been known by Muhammad. Indeed, the Qur'an contains precisely the sort of nonsensical material we would expect from a seventh-century illiterate caravan trader.

For instance, the Qur'an claims that the sun sets in a muddy pool (18:86), that semen is formed between the backbone and ribs (86:6-7), that the earth is flat (88:20), that there are seven earths (65:12), that the sun orbits the earth (36:38-40), that human embryos are blood-clots (22:5), that the sky would fall on the earth if Allah didn't hold it up (22:65), and that stars are missiles that Allah uses to shoot demons who try to sneak into heaven (37:6-10; 67:5).

Some critics of Islam are catching on to the deceptive tactics of certain Muslim apologists, and have begun correcting the propaganda. Muslim apologists like Dawahman and Hamza Tzortzis are concerned:

Didn't Hamza Tzortzis write a paper in which he backed away from the nonsense of scientific miracles after he and Anad Rashed embarrased themselves with P.Z. Meyers.

The Deception of Anad Rashid

Wow what a startling admission on the part of Muslims. "Many have left the religion on account of this issue"

The Muslims seem to be wising up.

So it looks like this week is not going to be any better for Muslims like Yahya Snow and Ijaz. LOL

The second guy in the video says

"There is a growing counter movement, and this is a good sign because it means that the work of Islamic apologists, the work of Islamic Duwats, has been relatively successful. In terms that the message being reached, and what you have as a result now, is people thinking about the ideas we've given them. Whether they're insincere or sincere is irrelevant to this discussion... They have been thinking about the evidence we've given them and they've provided counter arguments."

He then goes on to say that the "evidence" and "Idea's" that Muslims have provided were "unverified" and "FALSE". He also says that because of this "many many people have left Islam because of this issue".

My Response:

Think about this people. The man claims that Muslims have been successful in making converts to Islam by supplying "unverified" and "FALSE" information.

That because of this "unverified" and "False" information..."many many people have left" Islam.

He also says this is "A damning indictment against Muslims".

And whether people are "sincere or insincere" is irrelevant to the discussion.

Am I wrong to think that the only reason they are concerned with this "issue" is NOT because the information they have been supplying since the 80's was "unverified and FALSE" but because now that the information has been verified and proven to be false people are seeing through there lies.

Its like he is saying "look guys this stuff we have been pumping out for decades was great and it worked really well for a time But now the truth is out so we have to come up with something else."

In other words "that con has been played lets come up with another one."

I understand that the Quran tell us the depths of the sea is dark. This has
only been proved by scientific exploration less the fifty years ago - proof that the Quran is kosher.

I'm guessing you're joking, John.

Yes David it is. It was told to me by a friend perhaps someone can confirm the Quran makes this "claim". I laughed my head off when told - statement of the obvious or what!

Hamza is a convert hack who happens to know enough science to be dangerous. However, having painted himself in a corner, I think he realized the futility of using sacred scripture to appeal to scientific discovery. It's not unlike some brands of Christian Creationists who try to use the Bible as a 'source' to prove that dinosaurs and humans co-existed. One must twist the religious text AND the science to make it work.

what about 51:47 which says that the sky expanding?
we know two scholars won noble price for discovering that SKY is expanding.
who told to Muhammad (peace of Allah be upon you) 14 centuries ago

LOL! The Qur'an says that the sky is expanding, eh? Here are four translations of 51:47:

Pickthall: "We have built the heaven with might, and We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof)."

Yusuf Ali: "With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of space."

Hilali-Khan: "With power did We construct the heaven. Verily, We are Able to extend the vastness of space thereof."

Shakir: "And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most surely We are the makers of things ample."

Hmmm. Nothing about the expansion of space here. But let me guess, you've got a SPECIAL translation for us, that lines up with modern science, right? Funny how these translations only come out AFTER a scientific discovery is made!

But thanks anyway for proving the point of this post: That Muslims are so desperate to defend the Qur'an, they will appeal to just about anything (while ignoring the Qur'an's numerous scientific blunders!).

There's less science in the quran than in Drake's equation. Unless one considers semantic gymnastics and outright replacement of words and passages in different editions (lol, so much for timeless and unchangeable word of god. It's also hypocrisy because muslims like to attack christians by claiming that the Bible is changed in every edition) as scientific miracles.
