Quick Update

Paul and I took off from Michigan last night after nine straight hours of debate and discussion (four hours of debate with Sami, and five hours of post-debate discussion with some highly intelligent Muslims at Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn). Considering we set up the debates only a few days in advance, we had a great turn out for both debates. (My throat feels like sandpaper!)

I'll post a fuller update tomorrow. I'd like to post the debates as soon as I can, but the files are so large that my laptop won't accept them. (I made the mistake of recording in Hi-Def, so the files for Tuesday ended up being close to 20 gigs, and the files for Wednesday are around 30 gigs. It's interesting how quickly technology changes. My laptop was top-notch in 2009, and now it jams up when I try to do basic video work!)

I'm going to try several times to transfer the files to my laptop (sometimes a file will go through after a few tries). If that doesn't work, I might head to a friend's house to see if I have better luck there.

Well done guys. More grease to your elbows and grace to your stride.

God Bless.

Thanks for the update, Dave. Please keep them in high quality though if you can. The quality is worth the size...for me anyway. I can't wait to see the debates. I'm sure you roasted them as usual. Keep up the great work!

Eager to see the debates David. I wasn't able to make them in person. Hope the drive back was good. Hopefully you had air conditioning! :)

Why don't you just convert the file to a different file type, e.g. if it is AVG, then go MP4 or FLV. Sometimes this significantly reduces the GIGs.

Try out "Total Video Converter".

I can't convert any files at all until I get them off my cameras and onto a computer.

David,

I am so thankful to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for you and the entire team that you take the time and have the courage to defend the truth and to proclaim it to others, especially moslems.
May the Lord protect you, fill you with His Holy Spirit, increase your faith, give you courage and boldness to continue to do His work.

Can't wait to see the debates.

God bless you and your family.

Maybe try downloading them to a USB flash drive as an "external hard drive" that way you can edit and save whatever directly on it without needing the space on the laptop.

I know, its off topic .. but does anybody know why i get a "forbidden" error, when i want to visit abnsat.com?

Anthony Rogers said...

It is probably a temporary glitch, Herakleios; I get the same thing when I try to access the site.

A 403 error is a server access problem and could be from either the server or client side. In this case, there is definitely something going on related to the abn server. That is as specific as one can get from the client side.

I detected this on my computers almost 24 hours ago.
