Jinnbusters?

Sam, Paul, and I were about to leave the Dearborn Arab Festival for the evening, when Sam told us that Paul and I absolutely had to see a billboard on Warren Avenue. I'm glad we checked it out.

There's something strange . . . in your neighborhood. Who you gonna call? Jinnbusters!

LOL to funny.

Looks like we found Yahya Snow, he moved to Dearborn and is not doing Jihad against the Jinns

And when they get to Allah, they might just have to cross the streams.

Hey they misspelled Jinn!!!

For those who don't know what Radical is talking about, have a laugh at Yahya's expense by watching this.

And while you are at it, take a gander at this and have another laugh.

According to their websites "self diagnose" section; you may need their services if you're "lonely" or "crying for no reasons". LOL.

Or even if you "turn away from the Qur'an", "feeling sleepy often while reading Qur’an" or "yawning starts within 5 minutes of reading Qur’an".

Their "magic spells" is particularly nutty and sad.

Genie..Jinns..reads like a Disney Screen Play. :D A really bad one. :D Jinns equal fallen angels and they're introduce to the American public as water-down Genies, and entertainment.

Haha this is the greatest website ever.

JINN POSSESSION
Feeling sleepy often while reading Qur’an.
Yawning starts within 5 minutes of reading Qur’an.
House never looks clean.

MAGIC SPELLS
The girl would be happily engaged and then she would get up one day and say, “no! I’m not marrying him.”

I agree this is funny, but isn't the Christian eqivolent just an "exorcist priest" who treats those with....demonic possession.

Amusing to think this is actual a real profession people actually get paid for..

I gotta agree with Dk. Aren't Djinn just "Muslim demons"? Christians believe in dark spiritual forces. Jesus went around casting out demons, as did the Apostles, and was one of the main arguments (of the day) for why Jesus had to be a true prophet. A lot of the Christians who comment or post on the blog believe Muhammad was possessed by demonic powers.

I guess I just don't see the consistency. If there were a billboard asking "Demon problems?" with three 'Christian' looking guys on it with their best snakeoil-selling smiles on I'd be profoundly embarrassed, but I still believe in the existence of demonic forces that do, in fact, inflict themselves on people. Making people depressed (feeling lonely and crying for no reason) seems like the sort of thing a demon might just do, too.

@Derek Adams

Not everyone can heal people ...

Only people with a gift that is given by God ...

In the Middle East a priest who perform these things
does not charge any penny ... "freely taken, freely given"

here is one of many videos for Father Makary Younan a Coptic priest

God Gave a gift to heal all even Muslims in the Church

For commenters who think it's inconsistent to find this billboard humorous (when Christians believe in demons), you'll need to read the Muslim sources concerning the sorts of things Satan/demons/jinn are responsible for. According to Muhammad, evil spirits are responsible for yawning, the braying of donkeys, etc. Evil spirits stay in people's noses overnight, they fart in order to keep Muslims from hearing the call to prayer, and so on.

So if the guys on this billboard are going to deal with "Jinn" problems, they'll be doing a lot more than casting out demons.

David,

"So if the guys on this billboard are going to deal with "Jinn" problems, they'll be doing a lot more than casting out demons."

A lot less, I think you mean :P

I think you're right though, that Djinn sound almost like elves or gnomes or something.

I just read over their website I'm thinking it might be time for a prank call lol

I have heard muslim say that jinns live down plug holes and that is why you should not put hot water down the drain. Basically, if you burn them (yes burn them) they will attack your family in retaliation! The paranoia must be suffocating.

Hello to all, and peace be upon whoever follows the truth, whatever it may be. I am the director of the Jinn project, I do leave the floor open to questions, as us Muslims do believe in disagreements, but most importantly, dialogue, in order to better promote peace, and a healthy society. I leave the floor open for real questions, thank you all for your comments
