Support Needed: Phoenix Outreach and Debate Series

Sam Shamoun and I will be heading to Phoenix next month, where we will be training Christians to respond to Muslim arguments. We have four debates lined up as well. Since we're poor and have families, we need help covering expenses.

Also, a few months ago, we had 30,000 tracts printed (10,000 copies of "Who Was Muhammad?", 10,000 copies of "Where Did Jesus Say, 'I Am God, Worship Me'?", and 10,000 copies of "Who Corrupted the Gospel?"). All of the Deity of Christ and Gospel reliability tracts have been distributed to Muslims in Dearborn, Canada, etc., and we're down to our last box of Muhammad tracts. We'd like to print more for Phoenix and other festivals, but we need funds to do it.

Can you release the debate titles and opponents or are they still be negotiated? Praise God for you guys. Will pray for a victory to the glory of God.

Still working on the schedule, but the topics are:

(1) "Was Muhammad's Relationship with Aisha Morally Acceptable?"

(2) "Did Muhammad Practice What He Preached?"

(3) "Did Muhammad Meet the Biblical Requirements of a True Prophet?"

(4) "Do the Gospels Teach That Jesus Is God?"

All of the debates are with Osama Abdullah. I'm doing the first two. Sam is doing the others.

God bless you all! I have shared this post, thanks! Wish I could be there but am in England. :))

I have respect for Osama's willingness to defend what he believes but the evidence is against him.Even if Muhamad had been a saint like Nanak, the founder of Sikhism,or Mani, the founder of Manicheism,or the founder of Bahaism, the evidence would be against him and against Mani,Nanak and the Bahai founder.

If you are able to tell, where and when will your Phoenix outreach and debate(s) be held? I live about 2 hours from Phoenix and might try to make it. Thanks! {danielbartsch} at [q] dot com

Peace be upon you Everyone,

David, I have two corrections:

1- My last name is Abdallah, and not Abdullah. I don't like GOD Almighty's Holy Name to be spelled as "ullah". It's Allah. The "a" is pronounced as a "u" because of a vowel.

2- The third debate is "Is Muhammad a True Prophet?" The title that you have limits the debate to only the Bible, and it makes it sound like as if we need the Bible's approval to accept our Prophet, Peace and Blessings be upon him. Besides, hardly any Bible's Prophet met the Bible's standards, LOL.

So, please make sure that you and George fix this.

Regards,
Osama Abdallah

Also, the "Was Muhammad a True Prophet?" title was something you originally posted, and we all agreed on it.

Thanks,

I didn't like the topic either, since it would have limited Sam's arguments. George said he wanted this topic, because we've already done a ton of debates titled "Is Muhammad a True Prophet?" But if you'd rather have the debate just on Muhammad, that's better for us. I'll tell George you'd prefer the more general topic.

@ Osama Abdallah
you claimed " Besides, hardly any Bible's Prophet met the Bible's standards, LOL ". I think you are just silly.
So, good luck with your debating with David Wood, George, and Sam.

God (Allah) bless you,

Curly,

Are you saying that the "prophets" of the Bible who committed adultery, killed their neighbor's men, slept with their neighbors' wives, turned to idol worship after they supposedly received Divine Revelations from the LORD were legit?

I think I'm far from being silly. Much of the Bible was written by conspirators, thugs, drunkards who sang about pornography like there is no tomorrow, tribal gangs, and flat out liars. That's why I refuse the Bible to be the standard for morality.

Sorry about the "LOL" thing Curly. After reading it again, yes it did sound silly. This was not my intention though.

@Osama Abdallah,
I am answer you in two part.
1."'prophets' of the Bible who committed adultery, killed their neighbor's men, slept with their neighbors' wives, turned to idol worship after they supposedly received Divine Revelations from the LORD were legit?"
Oh, you mean the holy doer. I guess I misunderstood you. Fact, prophet is just carry the message from God to peopple. So, the prophet in Old Testament's standard is prophet cannot twist God's word and must be Israelites according to the book of Deuternomy that it. Of course prophet is still human like you and doing sinning sometime as example as Moses kill his neighbor's man and Abraham lie to foreign king. There are one holy and no sinning is Jesus Christ!
You stated "prophet committed adultery"? which prophet? I guess it is David. I know Muslim believe David is prophet, but it is not in christian and Jewish's view. We know David is just king... Other, "slept with their neighbors' wives?" which prophet?... "turned to idol worship after they supposedly received Divine Revelations from the LORD" who is that prophet? I guess it is closer to Aaron. Aaron was weak and let Israelites worship calf after they assumed Moses was died because he stay in mountain for too too long. Although, Aaron did not received divine revelation from God yet before they worship calf. You cant mind you give me the specific person who is doing sin which you stated.
Prophet is Moses, Aaron, Samuel, Haggai, Isaiah, Elijah, Abraham, Isaac, Elisha, and more. Actually, they did sinning like us and you. God called them to be prophet. The standard of prophet in Old Testament is can't twist God's word and be Israelites that it.
Now, I saw you that you are not silly! You was just explain not clearly.

2. "Much of the Bible was written by conspirators... and flat out liars. That's why I refuse the Bible to be the standard for morality."
I disagree you. Israelites were brave and wrote the embarrassed story about their ancestor. It must be true. You willing to write the embarrass front of people about your father, your mother, uncle?? I did not think so. Although, the people tell the very positive, beautiful, and reasaonable story, then it must be suspectous like example as Holy Quran (mmmmm???).

@Osama Abdallah,
"Sorry about the 'LOL' thing Curly." Dont worry... it is your expression. There are no offensive to me. SMILE brother

"After reading it again, yes it did sound silly. This was not my intention though." I am very familiar with Holy Bible. I agree you that some in Holy Bible are silly as example as Trinity. Although, history prove Holy Bible's credibilty well. Fact, I think all religions even Islam are silly. God's wisdom is higher than our limit mind.

David - Are you planning any debates in the Chicago/Illinois area anytime soon? I'd be interested to check one of those out in person.

David Wood said...

No, but if any of the Muslims in Chicago is willing to defend Muhammad, I'm there.
