Danielle Converts to Islam

A recent convert to Islam named Danielle posted a brief testimony in the comments section of James White's response to Joshua Evans (which you can watch here). Danielle says that we preach "hate and intolerance," but that the Muslims here are preaching tolerance. Unfortunately, she won't watch James's videos (or, presumably, other videos here), since she somehow already knows what the videos contain. I'll go ahead and post Danielle's conversion testimony, and I'll ask her a few questions to see how much she learned about Islam before she converted. Here's what she wrote:

I think it is funny how all the Muslims here are preaching tolerance and the Christians are preaching hate and intolerance. I refuse to even watch the videos because I know they will be full of ignorance. I refuse to break the peace Allah has given me just to see it. I am a recent convert and I am a white American girl. I have never been particularly religious though I have always tried to be a good person. When my fiance converted I was devastated because I would have to convert if I wished to marry him. I did not want to call myself something I wasn't (unlike many Christians today who don't even follow the teachings of Jesus, peace be upon him, and the Bible). But we made an oath of trust that I would believe him and try it. He was in an extremely bad situation being homeless for 2 months and Allah had provided him food and money when he asked. I knew there was some truth. After 2 weeks of consistent prayer and squashing the doubts Shitan whispered in my ear, I finally felt this amazing and overwhelming sensation of joy and peace. I had finally understood Truth. No one had to tell me. I read on my own. Allah then fixed my life and lifted my veil so that I could see clearly. Before I wondered aimlessly only moving deeper into darkness.

The only thing keeping anyone (including Christians) from converting to Islam and understanding Truth is pride. Your pride stands in your way and you side with the jinn (demons) who will not bow to those they feel superior to. You will not bow to God as God. You don't want to be wrong or see things differently. Islam came to correct the mistakes of man and former Knowledge that was sent and perverted.

If you have no pride and are humble as God wills, you will bow to him and ask him to guide you perfectly as he wishes. You put too much importance on wordly things such as money and traditions. It is only your arrogance that speaks when you claim to know better than God.

If you truly loved Jesus(pbuh), then you would be following his teachings of love, compassion, charity, and humility. Most adult Christians are hateful, racist, and act as though they know all that God knows and can enact punishment against others in his name.

But it does not matter. We are told not to worry with those who we cannot help or show the path, for Allah has cursed them with veiled eyes to wonder deeper into sin and despair. Allah saves who he wills. If you gave Islam a chance to touch your heart, surely you would be overcome with joy and enlightened by Allah himself.

It has completely changed my life so truly you all do not know what you are talking about when you speak hate against Islam and your own God you claim to love.

And now we have a few questions:

(1) Danielle, it doesn't sound like you did any research at all before converting to Islam. Rather, it sounds like your conversion was based entirely on feelings and an answer to prayer. I have heard many almost identical testimonies from people who converted to Christianity, Mormonism, etc. My question is this: Does historical evidence mean anything, or is your personal experience enough?

(2) If your personal experience is enough, how would you convince a person who had a similar experience after converting to a different religion? (In other words, since people convert to different religions and have similar experiences, it doesn't seem like religious experiences are an infallible guide to truth.)

(3) You complain about intolerance at the beginning of your post, and yet you've become a Muslim. Could you explain your interpretation of some of the following passages for me? Do they sound "tolerant" to you? Have you reinterpreted them? (I know there's a lot here, so please answer any you feel comfortable with.)

Qur’an 3:32—Allah does not love the unbelievers.

Qur’an 5:51—O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them.

Qur’an 9:29—Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Qur’an 9:30—And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

Qur’an 48:29—Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves.

Qur’an 98:6—Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islam, the Qur'an and Prophet Muhammad) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikun will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures.

Sahih Muslim 33—The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.

Sahih Muslim 4366—It has been narrated by ‘Umar b. al-Khattab that he heard the Messenger of Allah say: I will expel the Jews and Christians from the Arabian Peninsula and will not leave any but Muslim.

Al-Bukhari, Al-Adab al-Mufrad 1103—Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “Do not give the People of the Book the greeting first. Force them to the narrowest part of the road.”

(4) You say that Jesus taught "love, compassion, charity, and humility" (I agree). But how do you reconcile Jesus' teachings with Muhammad's clear commands to subjugate and oppress non-Muslims? Do you believe that Jesus preached a radically different message from that taught by Muhammad?

(5) You say that we're intolerant because we criticize Islam. Yet you say that "most adult Christians are hateful, racist." Why is it perfectly loving and tolerant for you to condemn Christians, while anyone who criticizes Islam is a hate-filled, Islamophobic, racist bigot? Am I missing something?

(6) Since you're a woman, I'm wondering how you deal with Muhammad's teachings about women. According to Muhammad, women are inferior to men, husbands can beat their wives into submission, women are stupid, men can have sex with prepubescent girls, men can have sex with up to four wives (along with countless sex slaves), etc. Do you agree with all of these teachings?

(7) Considering practically everyone here is familiar with Muhammad's teachings, do you really believe that the only thing keeping us from accepting Islam is pride?

We look forward to your response.

I reviewed the clips by Dr. White. As he stated, it's the typical Islamic testimony lacking real substance as to the truth of their leaving Christianity.

I remember hearing Danielle's testimony a few months ago on the Deen Show. IIRC, it was in two parts.

I do wish that she will answer the questions and take a look at what she wrote before she posts because it really doesn't describe Christians that well. If she wants to be fair and equally critical of Islam, I really don't see where Islam offers any real love for non believers unless it is veiled in subjugation to Islam. The history of Mohammad bears it out; but, of course, that is if she is willing to put those violent verses in proper context.

Danielle is never going to answer those questions: iff she's keen on islam (eben iff in islam 2.0: the pseudo-islam presented in the west) she was, or is now, under the influence off an ideology thate blokates any serious logical reasoning and only acceptance in bloks... my prayers are withe her: she'll need them more and more as she becomes more in contacte withe islam...

Danielle - please watch this video and see what islam really is. You have been deceived by satan himself.

danielle is apparently ignorant of what she claims to have renounced and also what she claims to have embraced...her testimony seems purely based on emotional reasons rather than thorough historical reasons....I doubt whether she will reply to these questions david, since she has made her stand clear in her testimony by stating that she doesn't want to hear or see anything what dr.white has to say..but you have made some valid points that any one who is a muslim, should seriously consider about.

Excellent questions, David. I especially loved #5. Over the holidays conversing with my head in the sand family, I was called racist and paranoid simply because I was critical of the beliefs and practices of Islam and expressed fear at their ever encroaching establishment in the west. And yet it's open season on Christianity for these "tolerant" people. I think I might start hurling the "Christianophobe" epithet around.

Dear Danielle,
A woman from the West who reasons rather than fears blindly does not believe in "jinn".
You have truly rejected EVERYTHING of merit you ever had.
And you don't even know what you've lost.

Hi brother david wood i am raheel from pakistan you post a good report and i pray God use u more for His Glory amen
i wana add one more hadith about this

Omar ibn al-Khatab (the second caliph)

Abd Allah ibn Sa’ed (Omr ibn al-Khatab servant) said: “Arab Christians are not Christians, I am not leaving them until they become Muslims or I cut their throats.” (Kanzu ‘umal – al mutka al hindi – vol. 4, No. 11770)

Danielle. Before you marry your husband know this:-

1. Nikah (muslim) marriages are not valid in the USA or UK so you husband can just divorce you and you will have no legal rights to anything. If you are going to sell yourselves into that hell you must get married in a registry office / civil marriage as well.

2. He can marry 3 other women without your permission (yes, really so don't believe it when they say different). He can also cheat on you with infidel women and there is nothing you can do about that either - you cannot attack her either in case she becomes another wife. Allah will not be pleased with you for that.

3. You are "tilth" to the husband. Read Quran 2.223 and hadiths that accompany it.

4. According to Sura 4.34 he can beat you for being disobedient or rude to him.

BTW those doubts you were having were the real God not Satan warning you not to do this.

I am not optimistic that "Danielle" will respond directly and straightfowardly to the questions and requests placed before her. That assumes she responds at all.

However on the off-chance she does, it will be quite interesting to see the content of her responses.

One particular thought comes to mind concerning her displeasure at the hypocrites she allegedly encountered within Christianity. I wonder how she deals with the hypocrites within Islam who, for example, claim tolerance in one breath while demanding infidels convert to Islam or be killed. Or perhaps she doesn't believe that is a double-standard.

Anyone else getting, "There are errors in this form" when trying to post?

Danielle, given that Christianity is the world's largest religion, spanning every populated continent (despite steady persecution in Islamic countries), in your view, which race are 'most adult Christians' racist against?

If racism concerns you, then how do you explain, for example, Sahih Muslim 41:6985? Some consider this hadith to be a call to genocide, and it does kind of sound like one.

It doesn't affect us one bit if you want to follow a lie because it feels good, but it should matter to you. Please watch some of James White's videos - it won't kill you to do so and you might learn something. Surely Allah can protect you from lies and hatred, if that's all Dr White has to offer?

Aren't you missing an opportunity to boost your faith by watching feeble attempts to refute the mighty truth of Islam?

You say you don't want to ruin the peace Allah gave you by watching these videos - what is peace if it's based on ignorance (or worse, lies)? It's too fragile or false to be real peace.

Bukhari (6:298) - Muhammad would take a bath with the little Aisha and fondle her.

Narrated 'Aisha:
The prophet and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to fondle me. While in itikaf, he used to bring his head near me and I would wash it while I used to be in my periods (menses).

He had an eye for the babes:

(Suhayli, ii. 79: in the Riwaya of Yunus i. I. Recorded that the apostle saw her (Ummu'lfadl) when she was a baby crawling before him and said, 'if she grows up and I am still alive I will marry her.' but he died before she grew up and sufyan b. Al-aswad b. 'Abdu'l-asad al-Makhzumi married her and she bore him rizq and lubab… [Ibn Ishaq, The Life of Muhammad, Karachi, p. 311]

Muhammad saw Um Habiba the daughter of Abbas while she was fatim (age of nursing) and he said, "if she grows up while I am still alive, I will marry her." (Musnad Ahmad, number 25636)

Ali ibn Abi Ṭalib, the fourth rightly guided Caliph of Islam (and also Muhammad's son-in-law and cousin) had exclaimed upon seeing Muhammad's lifeless corpse: "O prophet, thy penis is erect unto the sky!"

What was he most looking forward to upon death, meeting his Maker, or sex?

So what will Danielle's fiancé be looking forward to as a Muslim, one wife or four? Will she be happy about this? Would she have found this acceptable before conversion?

There's much more that could be asked here, but I too doubt whether she will want to answer any of this, especially when she sees what Muhammad was really like.

I think the ex-Muslims on this site would gladly tell Danielle why they left Islam.

I find it significant that she continued looking at Islam as a potential faith, because she had agreed to trust her beau.

And what is up with that man of hers? "Extremely bad situation?" "Homeless?" "No food?" What is he doing with a girlfriend he can't afford?

My daddy would have said, "No way!"

Why I am not a Muslim.

Muslims say things which are not true of +ianity nor of Islam. For women they say: +ianity is responsible for the moral decline of the west, Islam respects women more than any other religion. For men it's: "Islam has the answer to the 4 women to 1 man problem." To black people: "Islam is a black man's religion, +ianity is the white slave man's religion, become Muslim because Muhammad was black."

So I checked. After all, who wants to be accused of ignorance and bigotry, right?

In Hadith no.63,vol 1: "when a man arrived at the mosque, he asked, "who amongst you is Muhammad?" The companions of the prophet replied "THIS WHITE MAN RECLINING ON HIS ARM."

Hadith no.436, vol 6: When Umar came to visit Muhammad, he saw a "BLACK SLAVE OF ALLAH'S APOSTLE sitting on the first step"

The great Muslim historian, Ibn Qayyim al-Jawiyya, records:

[Mahran was renamed (by Muhammad) Safina (i.e. ship). He himself relates his own story, "The apostle of God and his companions went on a trip. When their belongings became too heavy for them to carry, Muhammad told me, "Spread your garment." They filled it with their belongings, then they put it on me. The apostle of God told me, "carry it for you are a ship." Even if I was carrying a load of six or seven donkeys while we were on a journey, anyone who felt week would throw his clothes or his shield or his sword on me so I would carry that heavy load.
The prophet told me, "you are a ship." (Ibn Qayyim pp. 115-116, al-Hulya, vol. 1, p. 369, quoted from Amad 5:222)

So much for the "black man's religion."

Women in Islam:

Volume 3, Book 34, Number 432:
Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri:

that while he was sitting with Allah's Apostle he said, "O Allah's Apostle! We get female captives as our share of booty, and we are interested in their prices, what is your opinion about coitus interrupt us?" The Prophet said, "Do you really do that? It is better for you not to do it. No soul that which Allah has destined to exist, but will surely come into existence.

This is the conduct of "the perfect man?"

Is there a way for me to watch Danielle's interview on the deen show? I just see her as the girl who has given up on finding Mr. Right, and has settled for Mr L-o-s-e-r.

simple_truth said...

donna60, I spoke too soon. It was the wrong person. The woman interviewed on The Deen Show was Donelle. I was only two letters off. LOL! Oh well, I blew that one. Next time, I will try my best to be more careful.

It's really difficult to watch The Deen Show. It only takes about 10 seconds to spot an error or misgiving on Christianity from the converts. At least, it seems that way. Sometimes I just want to reach my hands through the screen and yank them while thinking that I could shake some sense into them. LOL!

It would benefit the host of the show to study Christianity so that he is better equipped to discern the misgivings he has since many of his guests don't seem to be able to accurately present the facts either.

Hi raheel... glad to see you arounde here... difficulte to bee a Christian in your country... my prayers are withe you and your family... May God bless you all...

Sophie said...

Donna, that's a bit judgemental, isn't it? The economic climate is tough right now, and you don't know his family background and whether he was to blame for his difficult circumstances. My ex had virtually no money but he was one of the best people I've ever known, and easily the most intelligent. 'Blessed are the poor' and all that.

Obviously it's not cool that he converted Danielle to Islam, but then she should have used her own mind instead of blindly trusting this guy's judgement as seems to have been the case, so it's not really his fault.

Please continue to pray for Danielle.

I'd like to add this my dear sweet girl --- I too am a woman --- somewhat older than you :) -- I would like you to think about and do this for me -- go to Youtube and look at the Muslims who converted to Christianity --- hear THEIR stories - in particular the women --- go to the ABN Arabic
Christian stations and HEAR the testimonies of converted Muslims --again in particular a Moroccan woman living in the UK in FEAR of her husband, a woman born and raised in the Muslim faith --- please please rethink and reconsider before it's too late ---may the peace of our Lord and Savior be with you
and PS I'd like to say this ----
is this the horrible intolerant Christians you spoke of ? Am I one too ?? MY dear sweet girl--- please -- ask God -- the one true God to give you an answer if you don't want to believe us-- He will guide you -- and I do not mean Allah, because he isn't God (sorry to have to be a "terrible intolerant" Christian about this)

Sophie said...

Danielle, looking again at your statement "Most adult Christians are hateful, racist, and act as though they know all that God knows and can enact punishment against others in his name", I have to wonder if you realise the irony of what you have said. In nations that have a Christian heritage, you may legally follow any religion you choose without fear. It is never considered OK in the eyes of the law to discriminate against someone on the basis of faith, although all beliefes may be questioned, criticised and mocked. It is considered a private matter, because we recognise that everyone has different ideas about what the truth of God is. This is totally unlike any Islamic country I can think of, where Muslims who believe they "know all that God knows" discriminate against, and persecute, non-Muslims and Muslim apostates, and are allowed by law to do so, in the belief that those who aren't muslims secretly believe in Islam but are just too wicked to convert. Thus they are second-class citizens, if allowed to exist at all. In western nations, I have seen Muslims protest in the street for Islamic law to overtake secular law. Christians in Muslim lands don't want 'Christian law' (if there was such a thing) to overtake the law of the land; they just don't want to be second-class citizens in their own countries.

True enough. The economy is wrecked. Well you are right, I really don't have enough information to draw conclusions as to whether he is a user, or really in a temporary but destitute position.
