Did Muhammad Tell Us to Love One Another? A Reply to Utah Lt. Governor Spencer Cox

Recently, Utah Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox gave a speech that’s become quite popular. In the speech, Cox says:
Ultimately, there is only one way for us to come together. It must happen at a personal level. We must learn to truly love one another. The Prophet Muhammad is reported to have said: "You will not enter paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another." Jesus said, "Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you."
While it may be comforting, following a tragedy, to think that Muhammad commanded people to love one another, is this what Muhammad actually meant? Let's take a closer look.

An 11-year old Arab Christian girl was listening to an Islamic scholar preach about Allah. When he was done, the little girl approached him and said this – “show me where in the Koran that Allah loves me as the sinner that I am, and I will become a Muslim.” The dumbstruck man was silent for a long time, and then walked away. He had no answer to give her. Why?
God will save anyone who calls on Him whether they be Muslim, the Arab Catholic girl in this photo, a Buddhist, Hindu, or even an Atheist. He will even save you.
Because the Allah of the Koran does not love the sinner, or the unrighteous, or the lost, or the struggling, or the backslider. Allah of the Koran displays only a highly-qualified, conditional type of “love”, and it is for Muslims only. The Koran clearly teaches that Allah hates non-Muslims:
Qur’an 3:31-32—Say [O Muhammad]: If you love Allah, then follow me, Allah will love you and forgive you your faults, and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Say: Obey Allah and the Apostle; but if they turn back, then surely Allah does not love the unbelievers.
Qur’an 30:43-45—Then turn thy face straight to the right religion before there come from Allah the day which cannot be averted; on that day they shall become separated. Whoever disbelieves, he shall be responsible for his disbelief, and whoever does good, they prepare (good) for their own souls, that He may reward those who believe and do good out of His grace; surely He does not love the unbelievers.
This is a startling contrast to the words of Scripture that shows that God offers His love to any and all who will receive it, as a free gift paid in full with no strings attached:
“The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The bible teaches that God is not interested in “making you a Christian”, He desires to save you from the penalty of your sins which is an eternity in Hell. God’s salvation is a free gift that only needs to be received to become active. It is the Great Transaction – your sins in exchange for His righteousness and a full and free eternal pardon.
The Allah of the Koran is not the same as the God of the Bible. Allah wants to make you a Muslim, God wants to set you free.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36

As Jesus taught us if devil hate each other their kingdom will be destroyed. Quran teaches to love fellow believers to keep Islamic Umma intact and spread the terrorism all over the world to increase its kingdom. But Jesus taught us to love our enemy to keep our souls holy in this world and to increase inhabitants in heavenly kingdom. Goal and purpose of Jesus and Muhammad are of two different directions.

Obama Administration and Liberal media fail to learn from Islamic history and from Afghan war. America helped Muslims to liberate Muslims in Afghanistan from Soviet occupation, on the contrary maintaining good relation with America, Muslims took arms against America, Europe. Europe gave shelter to Muslims refugees and refugee in return for their help, rape their women. This is true character of Islam found through out all ages of the world. When Obama administration learn Muslim character, it could be too late like Brits voting for separation from Europe.

Pastor Carl Medearis, a follower of Jesus states:
About having a Christlike perspective. Pastor Carl writes in his book, Muslims, Christians and Jesus:
The most important thing we can do as followers of Jesus is to do just that. Follow Him. If we truly wish to build build a relationship with a Muslim friend, the most important thing we can do is to follow Jesus as lead. Jesus had compassion for people... If we begin with the attitude that we are going to debunk "all that Islamic stuff" we will be done before we get a chance to introduce Jesus, because we will have turned away somebody in the process. Some suggestions when beginning conversation do not insult Muhammad and don't be flippant with religious phrases or with God or the Bible. Do everything you can keep it from becoming a me versus you debate or a 'My Religion can beat up your religion' diatribe. That's not how Jesus spoke to others, and we would do well to follow his example.
Do Good
“And do good; indeed, Allah loves the doers of good” [Quran 2:195].
