Muslim Threatens to Kill Me over Muhammad and Aisha Video

In my latest video ("Muhammad Compares Aisha to a Good Meal"), I quote several Muslim sources on Muhammad's relationship with Aisha.

The Muslim response?

Dave I value the effort you bring to christian apologetics and Islamic debate . You where a bit smug on that video. You should practice Taqiyya on that. It would be a great lose if an extremist where successful.

I see Leon's point. However I must also point out, is telling the truth about someone considered an "insult"? It's not slander, it's just pointing out facts.

The meaning of the word Slander to us in the West is not the same as the way Muslims see slander. Telling the truth about Islam or Muhammad is considered slander by Muslims simply because the Muslims don’t want to hear it.

According to Islamic law, Slander (ghiba) means "to mention any thing concerning a person that he would dislike, whether about his body, religion, everyday life, self-disposition, property, son, father, wife, servant, turban, garment, gait, movements, smiling dissoluteness, frowning, cheerfulness, or anything else connected to him." (Reliance of the Traveler, r2.2, p. 730).

So “ghiba” is slander and by definition of sharia also illegal.

That's part of the reason why they start that crazy screaming and yelling they are famous for when they hear the truth.

I do hope that we all remember that the topic of the video concerns the sexual abuse of children.

I have no doubt that David's highest priority is children, but the reality of this was not reflected in his tone in the video as well as it could be.

It is easy when doing so much public speaking to use familiar tones and inflections, and I suspect that this was what happened here. I am not surprised however, that this video would be more inflammatory than informative for Muslims.

this means more videos and more cartoons. These muslims have minority privilege in the west although 2 billion people on the planet embrace this filthy and wicked religion. Since the majority of them are sheep without the balls to confront their own texts the way they confront ours, someone has to expose their religion to them.

Every time I hear a Muslims threatening Christians to "Death" because they spoke the truth about Islam, it only affirms what we all know already! The Seed of Hatred started with Muhammad 1400 years ago till today.
"O believers take not Jews and Christians as friends; they are friends of each other. Those of you who make them his friends is one of them. God does not guide an unjust people". Quran 5:54

“FIGHT AGAINST THOSE WHO BELIEVE NOT IN ALLAH, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger and FIGHT THOSE WHO ACKNOWLEDGE NOT THE RELIGION OF TRUTH (I.E. ISLAM) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah (High Tax) with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” Quran 9:29

It is NOT a coincidence that Muslims hate and kill Jews and Christians every single day! Muslims are thought to hate Jews and Christians in the unholy KORAN!

MUSLIMS PERSECUTION OF CHURCH ACROSS THE MIDDLE-EAST, AFRICA AND ASIA ARE BEYOND THE NUMBERS REPORTED:
● IN Egypt, Muslims Destroyed and Burned 87 Churches (Arab Spring 2011-14)
● IN Niger (West Africa) Muslims Destroyed and Burned 69 Churches (Charlie Hebdo's Riot 2015).
IN Iraq: Muslims Destroyed And Burned 248 Churches. (Reported in 2014)
● IN Nigeria, Muslims Destroyed and Burned 350 Churches (Reported in 2015)
● IN Malaysia, Muslims Destroyed and Burned 13 Churches (Reported in 2010)
● IN Ethiopia, Muslims Destroyed and Burned 69 Churches (Reported in 2015)
● IN Indonesia, More than 430 Churches have been Attacked, Closed Down, or Burned Down Since 2004.
● IN Afghanistan = 0 Church Left As They Were All Destroyed By Muslims - The last public Christian church in Afghanistan was razed in March 2010, according to the State Department's latest International Religious Freedom Report.
● IN Saudi Arabia = 0 Church Left As They Were All Destroyed By Muslims - Christians had formed Churches in Arabia prior to the time of Muhammad in the 7th century. Purportedly, one of the earliest Church buildings ever discovered by archaeologists is located in Saudi Arabia, known as Jubail Church, built around the 4th century. Some parts of modern Saudi Arabia (such as Najran) were predominantly Christian until the 7th to 10th century, when most Christians were expelled and forcibly converted to Islam during their conquest.

● In Libya, Syria, Somalia, Pakistan, Kenya, India, Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, Algeria, Mali and more! IN All these “Countries”, Muslims have destroyed, bombed and burned countless of Churches.

Paige,

Our obligation to protect children and honor women is the axiom of David's Aisha video, but the point of it is discrediting Mohammed due to his abusing a child and the women who were under his authority. This discrediting is a means of freeing Moslems from the influence of this man and his concocted religion.

As noted earlier, it is extremely painful for Moslems to be confronted with this material, but I think it's necessary. Of course it will provoke aggressive reactions. Loving and revering Mohammed is a deep part of many Moslems' identity, and it turns their whole world upside down when they discover the truth about him. This symbolic shattering of their idol will hopefully set them out on the journey which will lead them to Christ.

I believe I already gave the link to this video a few weeks ago. I understand the Aisha video in light of David's statements here:

David, I don't usually presume to write on other people's behalf. I hope you'll correct me if I got this wrong.

Dear Ignatius,

I appreciate your comment but would like to assure you that there is no need to defend Dr Wood or his intentions. If you reread my comment you'll see that my comment is regarding his "tone" not reflecting what I'm sure are his intentions. I am perhaps wrong, perhaps it only troubled me as I am a mother, perhaps it is cultural, but regardless my comment is not an attack on David or his ministry.

And yes, I'm very aware that Muslims need to be made aware of these issues, and that the consequences of doing so can engender very negative responses. But I would argue that there is a longer distance to go between aggression and salvation, than brokenness and salvation. Either way, you might still end up with death threats, but at least you know exactly why.

I think it's essential, however, that we don't only offer congratulations and "Yay for you!" when we support people in ministry. We are all just fallible human beings, even Christian Apologists (or maybe even especially Christian Apologists!!). I am very grateful when someone takes the time to pull me up for going too far, using humour inappropriately or missing the mark on my presentations. I would be surprised if the people behind Acts 17 were not also.
