This tactic is based on numbers. If 400 people are watching a debate, and a Muslim debater completely distorts the facts while sounding like he knows what he's talking about, how many in the audience will take the time to research his claims? One or two? And if one or two do the research and find out that he's been deceptive, who cares? After all, the rest of the audience has fallen for the deception. Doesn't that count as a "win"?
James White has more respect for Muslims than Yusuf Ismail does. Yusuf believes that Muslims are so gullible that they will believe whatever he says (no matter how inaccurate), and that Muslims will never hold him accountable for his blatant misrepresentations of sources. James maintains that truth ultimately triumphs, and that integrity is key.
See how these two different approaches play out as Yusuf tries to dupe his followers, only to have his bluff called by Daniel Wallace (Executive Director of the Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts).
David, what does it take to get zakir naik, omar suleiman, yasir qashi, yusuf estes, yusha evans, john fontain, and hamza tzorstsis to debate? These guys keep blasting christianity unchallenged. Maybe they need to be publicly called out.
Yusuf Ismail's behavior here reminds me of that famous quote from George Constanza:
"Jerry, just remember. It's not a lie... if you believe it..."
Speaking of blasting, have you listened to this recent episode of "Unbelievable" radio program? http://www.premierchristianradio.com/Shows/Saturday/Unbelievable/Episodes/Unbelievable-The-Islamic-vs-Christian-view-of-God.-Abdurraheem-Green-vs-Jonathan-McLatchie
Abdurraheem Green pretty much lost his credibility in my eyes as far as his knowledge of Christian history is concerned. He thought that Hermas is a Gospel document and also claimed that the canon of the NT was decided at the council of Nicaea. I'm not very familiar with his opponent (Jonathan McLatchie) but he seems like someone worth watching.

While this is true of Dr White and a credit to him and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yusuf Ismail knows his audience and knows they will not take the time to research his claims.
Is yusuf ismael alsona pskistani?
John 1:1: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” “..The Word was God”, the statement proved to be true by Resurrection of Jesus Christ, 3 days after His death as predicted and told His Disciples before He was crucified. Jesus’ resurrection was witness not by a single man but by 500 people. This proofs what is written in John 1:1 is true. On the contrary Muhammad alone witnessed that the Quran was written by his god (Allah), nobody else watched.
If Yusuf can believe, Quran is written by Allah why can’t he believe what is written in the Bible in John 1:1??
It is double standard Muslims always play when they debate. Muslims believe: “Yours is mine and mine is mine”. With this biasness there could not be successful debate.
It is shocking to me to learn that it was Mohammed's wife Khadija that first confirmed Mohammed as a prophet. it is this same woman that Allah condemns in the Quran as being deficient in their intellect and worth half that of a man. Islam was crooked from the foundation. That is why you see muslins try at all cost to twist the words of the gospel. One minute it is corrupted and the next minute they appeal to the same book to confirm the prophethood of mohmmed. These guys are professional flip floppers like their allah and mohammed.
Great work David, Sam, Tony, Nabeel and all the other great apologetics that contribute to sharing the gospel and exposing islam and its dubious origins. Millions are being removed from the bondage of islam through this ministry. The Lord is your strength guys. Be blessed abundantly.
An eminent apologetic. Great work Dr White. God bless
What I do NOT get is: Christians maintain that the koran is the words of Satan. And yet one shall "respect" the koran?
Why shall Christians even pretend to "respect" a text which call for their wholesale slaughter and SUBMISSION under Islam?
Why not leave this "respect" scripture out of the debate as if it is some human, instead as of the THOUGHTS made by humans.
