Exactly. Jesus didn't tell Christians to fight people until they submit to him, he said the opposite. We are to LOVE our enimies and Pray for those who persicute us. How can Mr President compare that. How far fetched is that, unbelievable to come from his mouth.

Hi Dr. David!
Nice one couldn't stop laughing. Sorry Mr. Obama is a laughing stuff right now. I think he was drunk or he is cornered by ISIS in such way that he cannot defend islam any more and he had to big any example.
The main thing in his speech is that his subconscious betrayed him. We now know that he is a muslim.
What a pity Americain please be wise in 2016 because they are many Barak Hussein Obama out there
GOD BLESS YOU ALL

Lest we get on our high horse, while I get on my high horse..... This president is a joke

This president is deliberately muddling things up. I have always suspected him of being a closet moslem buths true color is now coming forth. He obviously has a deep seated hatred for Christianity even though he claims to be one. I have never seen a leader talk like this about his faith. If he had read the bible , he would have known the true teaching of Christ. The president and his white house staff recently met with a large contingent of the muslim brotherhood under close doors. It is now clear to me that deception is the order of the day with this administration. America wake up! cause the days are evil.

How does this work?
The President connected the Crusades with Christianity but disconnect ISIS from Islam, WOW.
What kind of logic is this?
He is defeating himself ...

From the Wikipedia entry about the Inquisition...

quote:

Death tolls of the Inquisition

García Cárcel estimates that the total number processed by the Inquisition throughout its history was approximately 150,000; applying the percentages of executions that appeared in the trials of 1560–1700—about 2%—the approximate total would be about 3,000 put to death. Nevertheless, it is likely that the toll was much higher, keeping in mind the data provided by Dedieu and García Cárcel for the tribunals of Toledo and Valencia, respectively. It is likely that between 3,000 and 5,000 were executed.[92] = end quote =

Even if the death toll would reach 10,000, this figure still PALES in comparison of the Victims of BOKO-HARAM and other ISLAMIC GROUPS since 9/11! NOT COUNTING ISLAMIC STATE.

Methinks President Obama doth protest too much.

Perhaps he is in a position not unlike Queen Gertrude, Hamlet's mother, who married her husband's murderer.

Whether the president is motivated by self-preservation or an unholy alliance, he is writing his own entry into the history books.

If he is Muslim, he is not very aware of Islamic teaching, despite his gratuitous attempts to appease them. His attitudes towards abortion, sexuality, marriage, gender, etc. are decidedly anti-Islamic.

If he is a Christian, he is also not very aware of Christian teaching, despite his pre-election assertions that aimed to appease American Christians. His attitudes towards abortion, sexuality, marriage, gender, etc. are decidedly anti-Christian.

Neither clearly Muslim, nor clearly Christian, we are left to wonder if he believes in anything at all?

What is missing here is a realization that misbehavior is particularly over the top when it is government misbehavior. By continuing to classify terrorism as a problem the mayor needs to take care(crime), it hides the fact that the government can and eventually will be the worst offender or enabeler. Muslims misbehaved and Christians misbehaved but the magnitude of the misbehavior was due to the inability of the government to apply the moral brakes when a situation threatened to get out of hand emotionally. Look how weak and useless the UN is in this matter. They are like the League of Nations before WWII. What is not equal here is that some of the Crusades actually had the elements of a just war. It had some elements of being defensive. Our President has no intention of engaging in a defensive war or offensive war. He does not want to even rise to a proportional response, thus dooming the mission before the ink is dry on the particulars. It has not occurred to the President that taking no action is taking an action and that failure to act has consequences. He is comfortable doing nothing and he likes to stay comfortable.

I'm not a poet, but occasionally my thoughts come out as verse. I wrote this after reading this article. It might express the feelings of others so I thought I'd pass it on.

THE SOUND OF SILENCE
The deafening sound of silence has become the anthem of our age.
Gagged by a political correctness that grows like a cancer of the mind
We watch and hear, we look and see, but our mouths barely open.
Children suffering, men beheaded, wives now grieving,
While we put on another logical fallacies to mask our denial.

How long? How long can we deny that hate must have roots?
Love indeed has roots, and words to inspire and nurture it.
The words of love we recognize, we cherish and we extol
But when hate comes to us in words we reinterpret it into a song
The follow up anthem to our age that mask the shrieks of babes.

Numbers and percentages are shouted from minarets and spires,
"Let the oppressed go free, just not by this road", they cry.
"We condemn this! We condemn that!" with no mention of what is condoned.
Perhaps Carl was right, for religion acts not unlike an opiate here.
Enlightened by ignorance, craving acceptance, we inhale again.
......and all is well.

Now, in the words of a much, much greater thinker....

"Silence in the face of evil is itself evil:
God will not hold us guiltless.
Not to speak is to speak.
Not to act is to act."
—Dietrich Bonhoeffer
