Dozens of Churches Attacked in Egypt

Muslim Brotherhood Playbook: When all else fails, attack Christians.

Kafr Hakim, Egypt (CNN) -- For 67 years, the Virgin Mary Church has been a peaceful refuge for Shenouda El Sayeh, much like the Giza province village of Hafr Hakim where it rests and where he has lived all those years.

But, as he swept its floors on Thursday, it was painfully obvious things had changed.

The night before, a mob -- chanting against Coptic Christians such as El Sayeh and calling for Egypt to become an "Islamic state" -- had torched and looted the Virgin Mary Church.

"I didn't expect this to happen," El Sayeh said.

He's not alone. Christians all around Egypt are cleaning up in the aftermath of a spate of attacks, which not coincidentally came on the county's deadliest day since the 2011 revolution that overthrew longtime President Hosni Mubarak.

Bishop Angaelos, the Cairo-born head of the Coptic Orthodox Church in the United Kingdom, said he was told by colleagues in Egypt that 52 churches were attacked in a 24-hour span that started Wednesday, as well as numerous Christians' homes and businesses.

Ishak Ibrahim, a researcher with the Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights, told CNN he had confirmed attacks on at least 30 churches so far, in addition to the targeting of church-related facilities, including schools and cultural centers.

Those churches reportedly set ablaze Wednesday included St. George Church in Sohag, a city south of Cairo on the Nile River.

And the new day brought new attacks. Prince Tadros Church in Fayoum, which is southwest of Cairo, was stormed and burned Thursday night, according to the official Middle East News Agency. (Continue Reading.)

“Muslim Brotherhood Playbook: When all else fails, attack Christians.”

Any attack on Christianity is an attack on Christ, who is the King of the universe...

“All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.” Mathew 28:18

...and any attack on a Christian government or law and order in general by means of mob rule, crime and murder, is anarchy against the King of the universe.

“For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given (Revelation 12:5); and the government will be on His shoulder. And his name will be called Wonderfull, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end.” Isaiah 9:6-7

“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8

So when the authorities (which are appointed by Christ “For there is no authority except from God...” Romans 13:1-7) treat anarchists roughly and toss usurpers out on their ear, then that is Christ’s rule being enforced.

“He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the potters vessels.” Revelation 2:27 (Psalm 2:9)

The ironic thing is these third world rats deny evolution yet see no correlation between their own perverse prophet who, was in fact a caveman ( cave of hirra when he ran like a little girl to his wife thinking he was being choked by a magic genie)

when muslims say not to judge islam based on what muslims do, i often ask myself, then on what should i judge islam? by reading quran? what if i disagree with quran? then the hadiths? what if i also disagree with them too? if quran and hadiths are so peaceful and flowery, why do islamic extremists quote from them? and muslims say, they were taken out of context.. what context? "kill the unbelievers where ever you find them.." is there any context to killing which does not left someone to die? please, enlighten me muslims, i really like to understand!

Rukiah, I don't judge islam by muslims, I judge it by the perverse actions of muhammed as recorded in Sahih Bukhari, Muslim and the other major Sunni hadith collections, as well as what's mentioned in the sirah and tafsirs of your scholars such as ibn abbas and ibn kathir, in addition to the garbage in the quran, I see that the quran, hadith and sirah are filled with scientific errors, historical errors, contradictions, absurdities and whining about anyone who dares question muhammed absurdities.

So no, I don't judge islam by muslims, I judge it by it's false prophet, moe.

Muslims are barricaded in a mosque while an angry Muslim mob is outside with the Muslim police and Muslim military firing into the Mosque, and threatening to burn down the mosque.

An hysterical woman who is inside the Mosque and reporting to Al Jazera, life is in danger from the Muslim mob. In the words of the Al Jazera reporter on the ground.

"The Mob hopes she dies, they can not wait to get inside the Mosque to kill her because she has been calling Al Jazera and reporting what is going on.

The Muslim army is having to fire into the air to keep the angry Muslim mob from attacking the Mosque.

Al Jazera is reporting right now that a wounded "bearded man clearly an Islamist" was taken outside of the Mosque and attacked by the Muslim mob, he was hit in the head with wooden planks, and rocks, the army is trying to protect him and firing in the air to keep the Muslim mob away from him.

All I can say is that these people really hate each other.

This military rule is unstable. Egypt is a country which s getting messed up by internal politics. Read this article by the Egyptian grandson of the MB founder:

http://bloggingtheology.wordpress.com/2013/08/10/egypt-a-tissue-of-lies/

There are signs external influences are involved. This is not totally Egyptian. Politics in an African country always involves the Western powers.

Africans know this.

hey radical moderate, reading my bible is like reading the daily newspapers at the moment.
Isaiah 19:1-4
The burden against Egypt.
Behold, the Lord rides on a swift cloud,
And will come into Egypt;
The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence,
And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.
“I will set Egyptians against Egyptians;
Everyone will fight against his brother,
And everyone against his neighbor,
City against city, kingdom against kingdom.
The spirit of Egypt will fail in its midst;
I will destroy their counsel,
And they will consult the idols and the charmers,
The mediums and the sorcerers.
And the Egyptians I will give
Into the hand of a cruel master,
And a fierce king will rule over them,”
Says the Lord, the Lord of hosts.

You like to blame muslims on every single terrorist attack, not only that you don't know how to forgive others. Not only that you like to blame someone for doing something bad. You are one of those people that blame others but yourself for your own faults.

Mohammed Morsi was not the president of all the Egyptian people.
He represented only the interest of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Is it any wonder that he's overthrown?
What is the point of being elected president of anything if even the small fraction of minorities suspect that you despise and want to destroy them?
Islam is profane.
Democracy, in Islam, is the tyranny of the majority.
Elections don't make democracy.
Western civilization does.
I doubt non-Westerners can impose democracy on themselves, and I know Westerners cannot impose democracy in the orient.
Why can't the Ummah just admit that it is backward and it must stay that way?
Why can't the nations of the Middle East just accept the strong men and go on with their lives?
When the likes of Nasser, Saddam Hussein, Hafez el Assad and the Gemayels were powerful, there was peace.
Now that the orient is supposed to be "democratic," there's more chaos than ever.
Top-down power is the only thing that will order the orient.
Democracy is, and always will be, a Western form of government.

Since Christian churches are being burned to the ground ans its members are either tortured, killed or both, Why are we allowing these terrorists to build their mosques within our borders? Answer: because of the muslim traitor in the White House.

These pests are usually brought home in food purchased from a grocery store. However, many of them successfully live in the open, especially in agricultural areas, some are associated with bird nests or dead insects, while others are in moldy situations.
