Jesus Owns Muhammad

According to the Qur'an, Christians must judge by the Gospel (Qur'an 5:47). But the Gospel says that Jesus owns everything (Matthew 11:27; John 16:15). Since Jesus owns everything, he also owns Muhammad. If Muslims don't want us to conclude that Jesus owns Muhammad, they have to tell us not to judge by the Gospel. But why would Muslims contradict Allah?

Dear David,

Check this out (Sura 19:33):

"...and peace is on me (Jesus) the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive".

The Quran affirms the resurrection?

@About Me The Qur'an also affirms, not only the resurrection like you showed on your post brother but that Jesus is Sineless and that He is also Born of a Virgin: The Messenger said: "And make mention of Mary in the Scripture, when she had withdrawn from her people to a chamber looking East, and had chosen seclusion from them. Then We sent unto her Our spirit and it assumed for her the likeness of a perfect man. She said: Lo! I seek refuge in the Beneficent One from thee, if thou art God-fearing. He said: I am only a messenger from thy Lord, that I may bestow on thee a faultless son. She said: How can I have a son when no mortal hath touched me, neither have I been unchaste? He said: So it will be. Thy Lord saith: It is easy for Me. And it will be that We may make of him a revelation for mankind and a mercy from Us, and it is a thing ordained. And she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place. Surah 19:16-22

I got to say openly: Muhammad, thank you so much, Surah 19 has honestly reinforce my faith in Jesus Christ. Like you said, he is sineless, born of a virgin Marry. Although, you lied about his crucifixion, you redeem yourself by saying he resurrected bodily. Muhammad, what can I say other than PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, the one and only. Hallelujah, Amen.

Dear Yankie007,

Thanks for replying to my post.

The Qur'an also affirms, not only the resurrection like you showed on your post brother but that Jesus is Sineless and that He is also Born of a Virgin

Indeed. One may also wonder, why the favoritism on the part of Allah? According to the Quran, Jesus gets all the above privileges, including the power to perform miracles... BUT he's just a mere messenger, no greater the Muhammad!

I think a modern Muslim reasons this way.

(1) The Gospel was perfect and uncorrupted at the time of Mohammed.

(2) When the Qur'an arrived, the Gospel became superfluous, hence it became possible for evil Christians to corrupt it.

(3) The Gospel that exists today is different from the one that existed until the time of Mohammed.

(4) Manuscript evidence to the contrary is all false and Christians who say otherwise are lying.

(5) Even though some heretical Christians were claiming that Jesus is God & etc., this was only because they couldn't be bothered reading the Gospel. This heretical doctrine was not committed to writing in any document that counted.

I had trouble with your logic concerning: "Christians must judge by the Gospel."

Quran 5:47 - And let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah has revealed therein. And whoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed - then it is those who are the defiantly disobedient.

This appears to say that Christians should judge by Allah's words. Allah's words are in the Quran. So Christians should judge by the Quran which doesn't make any sense.

Please note that I view Allah as a different god than the God of Christians.

Matt,

I have trouble seeing how you are missing what is quite straightforward.

Verse 46 says that Allah first gave the law [to Moses], and later He gave the Gospel to Isa. It also says that the Gospel contains guidance and light and is a confirmation of what came before it in the law.

Verse 47 says that the people of the Gospel are to judge by what Allah revealed therein.

Verse 48 says that Allah gave the Qur'an to Muhammad, that it is a confirmation of what Allah previously revealed in the Torah and the Gospel, and he, i.e. Muhammad, is to judge according to what was revealed to him.

It is evident from this that each group was sent a revelation, and that each group is responsible for judging by the revelation that was given to them. For the Christians this is the Gospel. For Muslims it is the Qur'an.

In fact, verse 48 goes on to say: "To each among you We have prescribed a Law and an Open Way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single People, but (His Plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues..."

Little wonder that Yusuf Ali, even though he had incentive to try to distort this, was constrained to say in a footnote to this section of the Qur'an: "If the Christians follow not their light, they are rebellious."

So Christians are to judge by the light that was given to them, i.e. the law-confirming Gospel of Jesus Christ. And according to the Gospel, Jesus owns everything, including Muhammad. It is all quite simple, really.
