Muhammad Films and Violence

A number of people have been killed in the past few days, supposedly in response to clips of the film "Innocence of Muslims."

Here's the most popular clip:

As you can see from the short trailer, this may be the worst attempt at filmography in history. Perhaps the longer clip will have something of merit:

Nope. I can't tell if the movie is supposed to be funny, or serious, or what. But I don't see the slightest glimpse of creativity; the filming and special effects are beyond horrible; and the clips don't even tell a coherent story.

What's my point? Only this: that if Muslims want to conjure up a film from YouTube to throw a tantrum about, there are much better films about Muhammad than "Innocence of Muslims." Take VenomFangX's "Everyone Loves Allah 2, Featuring Muhammad." This short film was creative, witty, funny, and included references to Muslim sources. While it's not my style to push films or cartoons about Muhammad, rules start to bend when Muslims start slaughtering people in an effort to intimidate non-Muslims.

And if anyone is wondering about Part One, here it is:

For a more serious film about Muhammad, the following is based on Martin Lings's popular biography of Muhammad:

It seems Muslims have some more killing to do. Of course, since I'm posting these videos here, I'm obviously happy to add my name to any lists. Does anyone think we should let the Copts stand alone?

Amen Bravo David Wood, bravo.

They were saying on Al Jazeera all morning that the US is responsible because the US president did not stop US television from airing the offensive movie.

It wasn't US television did not show it, in fact it was Egyptian TV who broadcast the video for a entire week.

As the Apostle Paul might have said (in answer to your question), "By No Means!" NO! We must NOT let the Copts stand alone. NO! We must NOT continue in sin so that Grace will abound...
We have all known it would come to this. We stand together or we fall, apart. My respect for you and Sam and for Bro. Joseph and for the whole ABN team grows continually. Possibly even YOU guys didn't understand the significance of the ministerial call to which you have responded. I have no money to offer but my prayers for you and for ABN will continue. Please let us all know how else we might stand with YOU!

BHO and his ilk continues to try to sacrifice the free world for his worship of the moon-god "Bel". May the devils take ALL of Islamic idolatry - ancient, medieval and modern - and set the human race FREE of this nightmare.
Instead of sacrificing humanity and all of freedom to appease "Bel", I pray that we may rather nail Bel itself (along with all other human idolatry) to the cross of Christ Jesus for the death it deserves. May we both live to see it.
Even so, Lord Jesus - come quickly.

LOL!! everybody loves Allah video it's funny, i know it can be offensive to muslims but it's funny the part where the Angel speaks to him and try to kill him!! XD also the part of the satanic verses, i wouldn't show that to any muslim because it would be offensive, but the info there is very accurate!!
PS: in the end of the video when she asks "Allah" when were the scriptures corrupted, and he says after Jesus, it wouldn't answer yet that Allah tells Jews and Christian to judge by what was revealed to them, or telling Muhamad to ask Jews and Christians in case of doubt, if it was already corrupted, Allah shoudl've known and he would have instead said: DONT TRUST THOSE SCRIPTURES!! THEY ARE CORRUPTED!! so maybe it was corrupted after Muhammad, so in Muhammads time, He had the real Torah and the real Inyil, the muslims ones, where is written that kabbah was built by Abraham, Jesus ran from the cross, etc etc... so that would be the only way Allah could've said what he said, but it would mean that there was the real Torah, real Inyil and Quran at the same time, and Allah said: "bah, i'm bored of the Torah and Inyil, i will protect only the Quran" and so he allowed Jews and Christians to corrupt it even when they were his revealed words just like the Quran, yet another problem is that we have older Torah and Gospel than Muhammad, and we know why they believed what they believed, and it's because it was in the Toran and Gospel, which Muslims say now are corrupted! So all this issue of the corrupted scriptures has no sense.!

It's a miracle the clip is still on You Tube, all things considered.

Scarily enough, I think the scriptwriter/producer intended to make a serious film. He was not aiming at comedy ... just sensation.

I say this because every episode included in the clip related to a known episode in the life of Muhammad. For example, the acrobatics with Khadija at the beginning of the first clip are a mangled re-enactment of the story in Tabari 6:73.

The aim of the script seems to be to expose Islam by trying to explain how the Qur'an was forged (Waraqa is blamed for at least the early suras) and how it's all about sex, violence and Muhammad's ego. To help the thesis along, the most sensational possible interpretation of every episode is used: Muhammad was illegitimate, he believed the donkey could talk, he tortured Kinana in Safiya's presence, Umm Qirfa quotes Abu Afak's lines before being very unconvincingly torn apart... The elderly Jew (Kaab ibn Asad?) tries to argue theology usefully yet can't resist spitting.

The problem is, it's really, really bad filmography. The mighty army of three warriors is not convincing. The actors can't act. The violence is hinted at but not carried out (you can't really cut heads off when you make home videos). And the exploiting of the sensational means that this film isn't going to convince anyone, even in the places where it's accurate.

Perhaps the full-length film gives a better-flowing narrative than these little trailers. But I'm not holding my breath. The whole film looks as if it doesn't meet it's producer's aims and isn't worth anyone's trouble.

Which one is Allah9the devil) and which are his daughters?

It is an undeniable fact of history that before Muhammed was born, the moon god "al-Ilah" (Allah) had three daughters named al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat. The first two were even named after their father. Each daughter had a separate shrine near Mecca, where Allah's shrine was located.
As Muhammad grew weary from evangelizing his new religion with little success, he was tricked by the devil into adding a verse in the Koran that commanded Muslims to pray to Allah's three pagan daughters Lat, Uzza and Manat. The pagan female trinity was immediately accepted without dissent and the passage was considered part of the revealed Koran. However some time later, Muhammad got a revelation from God that the verse should be removed. After repenting of the error, Muhammad was comforted by God.
Such "after the fact corrective revelations" are very common with cults. Joseph Smith, founder of the Mormons also received an "after the fact corrective revelation" from God retracted the previous "divine command" allowing polygamy.
The historical information confirming the "Satanic verses" is so vast and sure, only the desperate blind would deny the evidence. Undeniably factual information regarding the Satanic verses comes from respected Muslim scholars like at-Tabari and Ibn Sa'd who wrote biographical and historical accounts of the life of Muhammad.
Yet some Muslims actually reject the whole "daughter-gate" story as untrue. These are an extremist minority, you know, the ones who don't believe youth should be taught history or science, but spend 8 hours a day memorizing the Koran. Yet many Muslims are trained to habitually disregard factual world history when it conflicts with the Koran. Take the fact of Christ's crucifixion. Even the Jews agree he was crucified, but the Koran says it was a case of mistaken identity. So Muslims reject the universal record of history and the Bible, but believe the Koran is true. Amazingly, some Islamic apologists actually deny "daughter-gate" ever happened. Yet their only argument is, "The Koran says it cannot be tampered with and that Satan cannot interfere with the revelation process." So, these extremists must either admit that the final prophet revealed a Koranic passage whose origin was Satan, or simply rewrite their own history and deny the whole "daughter-gate" scandal itself.

On CNN last night, a reporter was standing outside the place where the Coptic-American film-maker was hiding. They literally showed the building and everything, and the reporter explicitly said, "This is where he's hiding." Are they stupid or do they just want him dead?

I still wondering the hypocrisies of muslims.

Why on earth they didn't protest the passion of the Christ? or the Prince of Egypt ?
Is it not Jesus mentioned all over the quran more than prophet muhammad? and why didn't they have Moses the prophet of islam mentioned in syahadat next to allah or why not "prophet lot" :P?

One thing that muhammad himself knows.... only moron who believes in muhammad so he entered his own name and title inside.

I'm listing to the reason given for making this really bad movie.

They made the movie to lure Muslims sympathetic to Osama Bin Ladden so they could identify them.

This has got to be the dumbest reason I have heard so far. I mean are these idiots really that stupid.

Radical Moderate said...

@David Wood, did youtube ever re post your video's that they removed?

I find it funny that Youtube has come out and said publicly it will not remove the video from its US and European servers, only those that are accessed from the middle east.

After watching this horribly produced and directed trailer, I came to two conclusions
1. The movie wasn't the cause of all those riots and protests and cold murder. These people were always ready for this they were just looking for an excuse and opportunity to show how their true islamic colours.

2. Things are no longer going to be the same on this earth.

The Innocence of Muslims Movie: This movie is actually not about Muhammad though it certainly does mock him. It begins with a typical situation in Egypt where Christians are having their property attacked by a mob of Muslims and the Egyptian police stand by and do nothing. The movie is saying that it is the example of Muhammad that has led to this situation. The maker of the movie hates what Muhammad has done to the Christians of Egypt and so mocks Muhammad's life, but he is also saying that Muslims are innocent victims because they have been brutalized by Muhammad's example. This is a protest film.

Radical Moderate said...

@Samuel Green, interesting observation. I said they should of stuck with the theme of the first part and that is the persecution of Coptic Christians.

I think they should of went with that as there explanation instead of "We made it to identify AL Quida sympathizers.

Wow the muslims chucked a tantrum in townhall in sydney over it and had things posted like "we love Osama and hate Obama"

Anonymous said...

even worse is a child holding things for beheadings

You know the irony is? you are doing what the film makers wants you to do. By acting violent you only prove their point

Radical Moderate said...

After reading Samuel Greens comment I have re thought my position on this "movie" and I no longer think this is a horrible film.

I think it is brilliant a master piece of lampooning and social and political commentary.

My only complaints boil down to editing and showing Mohamed, and the one reference that Mohamed is a homosexual.

Other then that it is a brilliant work especially with the reaction by Muslims.

statement for Al Q'uds Day)

28 October 2005
With the help of the Almighty.

Orthodox Jews the world over, are saddened by the hysteria which has greeted the recent stated desire of the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, to see a world free of Zionism. This desire is nothing more than a yearning for a better, more peaceful world. It is a hope that with the elimination of Zionism, Jews and Muslims will live in harmony as they have throughout the ages, in Palestine and throughout the world.

It is a dangerous distortion, to see the President’s words, as indicative of anti-Jewish sentiments. The President was simply re-stating the beliefs and statements of Ayatollah Khomeini, who always emphasized and practiced the respect and protection of Jews and Judaism. The political ideology of Zionism alone was rejected. President Ahmadinejad stressed this distinction by referring only to Zionism, not Judaism or the Jewish people, regardless of whether they reside in Palestine or else were.

We concur!!… Orthodox Jews have always prayed and till today, continually pray for the speedy and peaceful dismantling of the Zionist state. As per the teachings of the Torah, the Jewish law, the Jewish people are required to be loyal, upstanding citizens, in all of the countries where-in they reside. They are expressly forbidden to have their own entity or state in any form or configuration, in this Heavenly decreed exile. Furthermore, the exemplification of one-self, with acts of compassion and goodness, is of the essence of Judaism. To subjugate and oppress a people, to steal their land, homes and orchards etc. is of the cardinal sins, of the basics crimes, forbidden by the Torah.

We have long stood together with the suffering Palestinian people in their struggle for self determination and respect. Based on our religious teachings, we believe it is impossible that any lasting peace can be achieved, for so long as the state of Israel exists. It is towards this goal of true reconciliation that religious Jews strive; via Palestinian statehood, so that we can once again reside in harmony and brotherhood.

May we merit to see the fruition of our prayers. Ultimately we pray for the day when all mankind will recognize the One G-d and serve Him in harmony. May this come upon us in the near future. Amen.
Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss
Neturei Karta International
Jews United Against Zionism
One of the basics of Judaism is that we are a people in exile due to Divine decree.

Accordingly, we are opposed to the ideology of Zionism, a recent innovation, which seeks to force the end of exile. Our banishment from the Holy Land will end miraculously at a time when all mankind will unite in the brotherly service of the Creator.

In addition to condemning the central heresy of Zionism, we also reject its policy of aggression against all peoples. Today this cruelty manifests itself primarily in the brutal treatment of the Palestinian people. We proclaim that this inhuman policy is in violation of the Torah.

No muslim coming here to defend what their muslims did over the video??? Now you know your allah is actually syaitan, and muhammad is the person syaitan use to destroy God's Holly teaching. It's all proven in the fruits of the teaching to blinded muslims.

Thanks for posting the link to the video. Those people are behaving like animals. And yet they are devout Muslims praying everyday, which can even be seen in the video.

It's very sad to see human beings behaving in such a way and on such a large scale in the 21st century. And the reason is that a handful of (stupid) people made a video on their prophet. As if the American nation had anything to do with it! Those people just need to find out some pretext and a "responsible" to unleash their anger seeded in their heart/brain by the Qur'an and the teachings of their prophet. They cannot behave responsibly. They just need to assuage their grief and their need for destruction, causing serious damage even in their own countries.
The effect of Islam on the human brain is striking me more and more.

Moderate Muslims would say that this is the work of a minority, but I see entire crowds creating turmoil almost everywhere Islam is present.
Imagine if Christians were reacting on such proportions whenever someone was mocking Jesus!

I loved the two Everybody Loves Allah videos. They were 1) funny, 2) educational, 3) very imaginative and wonderfully entrancing and weirdly believable as fantasy, and 4) the two actors both have voices very well suited to the curious characters they create. Put those four elements together and the result is outstanding.

Can someone confirm for me that Egyptian television had been running the video over and over again. Personally I have never seen the video and couldn't even tell you what it was. I agree with earlier sentiment: this craziness didn't have anything to do with the video. Not a video no one has seen, and I've watched bad videos...uoutube's version of bad that is.

I was listing to the NPR show World VIew, they had two Muslims one was the Chicago represantitive of CAIR in Chicago.

At 32 minutes into the show, a very nice Coptic Christian sister calls in. She condems the movie, but she says that maybe we should look at things from the movie makers perspective and that is the persecution of Christians in Egypt.

The vile Muslim says "Mary can I ask you to list three or four concrete things that you justify your claims of Coptic christian persecution?"

She lays into him and says "Try not to get emotional", and then says "MOSQS" that's right "MOSQS have been burned... Muslims have been murdered and discriminated against in the USA" What a vile man.

Listen to it here
