Anyone Got a Reliable Car in the New York Area?

Paul and I are heading to Michigan on Monday and will be there for more than a week, doing a "Jesus or Muhammad?" marathon, conducting outreach training, visiting the Dearborn Arab Festival, and meeting with our lawyers for depositions in our ongoing civil rights lawsuit. Plane tickets to Michigan and a rental car while we're there would be well over $1000. If we get a rental car in New York and drive there, it will cost around $800.

I should have thought of this earlier, but I wanted to check to see if anyone in the New York City area has a reliable car we could borrow from the 11th to the 20th (our cars are death traps that we wouldn't trust for anything beyond local trips). Driving to Michigan in a borrowed car would save us a lot of money. I know it's a long shot this late in the game, but it never hurts to check!

I'm not in the NY area and this has nothing to do with the car, but I just wanted to give you some props.

For hustling and going through this rigmarole to do J or M. I watch those shows religiously.

I appreciate the sacrifices that you make in this line of work.

I know it sounds sappy, but hey, I'm feeling sappy today.

three cheers for you and yours sir.

I'm in Grand Rapids, MI (about 2 and a half hours west of Dearborn). I can't help with the car issue but do you have times for the Arab Festival events, training etc?

If you don't find a car to borrow in NY; through up a post for any last minute donations and I could help. I'm sure others would chip in as well. We want to see you in Michigan for the Festival and that you're taken care of.

Hi David and all. I am so sad to hear that your financial needs are not being taken care of adequately. You have put your lives on the line so many times to expose lies and give people a chance to hear the truth. I am willing to donate whatever I have to this noble cause. You should not ask before we give. I feel so sad!!. We need to support these guys people, they are really working hard to protect our liberty and expose the lie that is Islam.
How can I give Please?

I leave you with this prayer.

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.

May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
and give you peace.

David, I second what Luke Martin said. If you can't find a vehicle, I would certainly be able to donate to your cause (if the Lord wills). Please let us know, be blessed.

Hi David, you guys at abnsat are doing a good job in exposing the truth about islam.

I would like to put something out there and see if some people think its a good idea or not.

David you were talking about your car being a death trap for long journeys, how about if we got enough people over a long period to contribute whatever a person can to a fund that can be used to buy a safe and reliable car so you are able to continue your work in the future.

what does everybody think? good or bad idea?

For those who are considering donation, David's post with the Chip-In widget can be found here: Tracts Needed for Dearborn Arab Festival. I noticed it doesn't show up in some mobile browsers. Just an FYI, in case you're visiting the site on your cellphones. :)

Our prayers are with you, guys. Thank you and God bless you and your families for all you do. <3
