Jay Smith Teaches Muslims about Islam

Jay Smith was amazingly effective amid all that chaos. I've never seen anything quite like that. The chaos actually helped him. Like a skipper thriving in the midst of a high storm at sea...

Praise God for the only genuine conduit to Him-Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of the ALMIGHTY.Islam, the antithesis of Christianity,is one conglomerate of deceptions such as Mohammed's ascent into heaven or his alleged conversation with Moses who prophesied about our Lord and Savior. It is tellingly most unfortunate that Moslems believe all this despite their prophet's untenable prophetic credentials.

They remind me of a couple of Eastend barrow boys vying for trade. The Muslim is trying to sell conterfeit goods; all the while Jay Smith is handing out free Prada handbags....one of them is going to be looking for a new job soon I'll wager.

Jay did an excellent job. I have seen him before in one or two videos debating Muslims outside.

This video brought back to my mind something that I had thought of before. I know you were planning to go to Speakers Corner while you were in London in 2009. Did you get any footage worth seeing?

Hi David and Nabeel,

do you plan to post your videos of your time spent in speakers corner?

Chaotic, but impressive.

I just could never learn that way.

Islam is truly pride, desire, force and violence.
There is nothing of reason in it.
Nor is there any real surrender to God at all.
If anything, Islam is about pursuing worldly desires and the world.

Hadn't planned on it. Sound wasn't very good.

Why? Was there something you'd like to see on YouTube? I remember a Muslim claiming that Allah isn't perfectly good. I thought this was interesting, since Abdullah had denied Allah's omnipresence the night before. If I recall correctly, in less than 24 hours, Muslim speakers denied that Allah possesses three of God's essential attributes.

Wow that was amazing. Praise the Lord for Jay Smith.

I especially love the last 3 minutes of this.

The whole video was very funny in an instructive way.I was laughing half the time.I didn't know much about why Muslims pray 5 times exactly.I concentrate on the Koran and a bit on the hadiths, though very little.

I always look for interesting information, guys check out tektonics.org article on the arguments in favor of the historicity of Esther. But first,MOST of the documents of Antiquity have disappeared forever,so skeptical claims are not that strong, here is the link:

Jay says a lot of interesting stuff here that I didn't know. I wish I had had the chance to hear what the Muslim guy had to say too, since it was essentially a shouting contest which Jay won!

Here's my understanding of what I heard:

The Koran says, six times, to pray three times a day. Can anyone give me those references so that I don't have to go searching through the whole dreary book for those six verses?

Muhammad visited the Al-Aqsa masjid, from where he went to heaven and met Moses. He asked Moses how many times he had to pray. Moses said an extremely high number of times (I didn't catch that bit) so Muhammad said that was too much and went back and forth asking for the number to be reduced, until eventually he was granted just five daily prayers. Is that correct?

The story of the five prayers is not recorded in the Koran but in Bukhari. Yet Muslims pray five times rather than three.

The Jews prayed 3 times a day; morning, noon, and night. So it appears that the Koran commands following the example of the Jews in this respect. But Muslims pray five times a day because of the night journey and Muhammad, and those times are the times that the pagan polytheists prayed, too. So in the same way that Muslims changed their prayer direction from Jerusalem (Jewish) to Mecca (pagan), they changed their prayer times from Jewish to pagan. Is this what Jay Smith was saying? Or was he commenting on the fact that Muslims follow Muhammad's example (as recorded in Bukhari 200 years after the event) rather than Allah's word (as recorded in the Koran)?

Maybe if this debate hadn't taken the form of a screaming match it would be easier to comprehend and I wouldn't need to ask all these questions!

Personally, I do not believe that the gospel needs to be "yelled" in order to be heard and or understood even though I commend Mr. Jay Smith for defending the faith publicly as he did. In fact, he reminds me of some of the OT prophets who at times were wildly shouting about. I just wonder if these types of loud and public debates actually help anyone come to the truth? Rather, I feel it may harden their harts...

I would like to see him in an organized debate sometime.

“Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words.”

Hi again,

I do have a question as I'm looking at the Quran myself to check the validity of the 5 prayers "not" being in the Quran. I came across these versus and would like anyones insights.

Surahs 2:238, 11:114, 17:78, 24:58, 30:18

[2:238] You shall consistently observe the Contact Prayers, especially the middle prayer, and devote yourselves totally to GOD.

[11:114] You shall observe the Contact Prayers (Salat) at both ends of the day, and during the night. The righteous works wipe out the evil works. This is a reminder for those who would take heed.

[17:78] You shall observe the Contact Prayer (Salat) when the sun declines from its highest point at noon, as it moves towards sunset. You shall also observe (the recitation of) the Quran at dawn. (Reciting) the Quran at dawn is witnessed.

[24:58] O you who believe, permission must be requested by your servants and the children who have not attained puberty (before entering your rooms). This is to be done in three instances - before the Dawn Prayer, at noon when you change your clothes to rest, and after the Night Prayer. These are three private times for you. At other times, it is not wrong for you or them to mingle with one another. GOD thus clarifies the revelations for you. GOD is Omniscient, Most Wise.

(30:18) His is all praise in the heavens and in the earth; (and glorify Him) in the afternoon and when the sun begins to decline.
