EU Student Diaries List Muslim and Hindu Holidays, But Omit Christian Holidays

It's one thing to be open to other cultures. It's another to actively destroy your own.

The European Union has sent millions of diaries to schools which list the dates of Muslim, Hindu, Sikh, Jewish and Chinese festivals - but omit any mention of Christian celebrations.

In an extraordinary move, three million 2011 notebooks were printed at a cost of £4.4million to the taxpayer. Around 350,000 of the diaries have already been shipped to schools in the UK alone.

There is no record for Christmas, Easter or Lent - despite bureaucrats carefully listing the EU’s self-styled ‘Europe Day’ on May 9.

The EU was forced to apologise in the wake of the blunder as religious groups expressed their disbelief.

John Dalli, consumer commissioner said: 'We regret this' and apologised. (Read more.)

WOW, praise God, if this is not evidence of the visceral hatred to words God then I don't know what is.

I don't think it was a "blunder" at all - it was deliberate. The media have been bashing Christianity for years and all we hear is that Christianity is dying and nobody goes to Church. Christian persecution around the world is rising and I never thought it would happen in Europe!

yeah this was really ridiculous. It got some attention in the media but the outrage was only from the few Christian political parties.

You try to omit the Islamic holidays from the calendars instead of the christian holidays and see the outrage of not only the Muslims but the secular media as well.

"We regret this"
That's all?
Do you regret abandoning your heritage totally?
Do you regret forgetting your history totally?
When I think of your mind, I think of the sun at total eclipse-- one big dark circle where most of the light should be.

Honestly, I believe it was either a mistake or some anti-Christian troublemaker in the editing department. I don't think it's symptomatic of any wider anti-Christian conspiracy in the EU.

We have to live under all the ridiculous EU legislation here. I'm awaiting the admission of Turkey into the EU, and consequentially 1000's of largely poor, uneducated Muslims into my country, along with a good dose of women's rights violations and Islamic supremacism.

But I don't think this was done on purpose; there is just too much of a large Christian presence in Europe for that, and it's too obvious. I don't think Christians are persecuted in the UK at all (I don't know about the rest of Europe) except in majority Muslim areas where all non-Muslims may face harassment, and I think that Europeans are waking up to the problems of multiculturalism and the dangers of Islam.

The EU did admit that it was a terrible mistake, too.

The Muslims and their dhimmi puppets know that Christianity, and only Christianity, has the power to destroy Islam.
