James White: Can Muhammad Save You?

Hello, this message is for Dr. White;

1)"To whom was the ransom paid to?" in reference to Jesus giving himself up.
2) You mention: 1 Timothy 2:5 then alluded to Father, Son, & Holy Spirit
(Trinity. However, the doctrine of the Trinity is pagan in origin. The concept of a triad in deity worship began in Babylon and was patterned on Nimrod, his wife Semiramis and their son Tammuz. Later cultures such as the Egyptians adopted this belief, which can be seen in their worship of Osiris, Isis and Horus.

One of the reasons you do not see practicing Jews flock to the Christian churches is that they know better than to accept doctrines such as the 'Holy Trinity.' Jews know all too well from the Tanach (Old Testament) that it was accepting aspects of pagan doctrine into their worship with YaHuWaH that cause them to be separated from YaHuWaH in the past. It is these pagan doctrines that actually keep Jews from accepting the Messiah because any Torah-observant Jew will never accept these strange doctrines.

One thing that Christians do not realize is that practicing Jews pray the Shema three times a day. If you are a Christian you may be wondering, "what is the Shema?" I rest my case. The Shema is a traditional Hebrew prayer, taken from Scripture as all Hebrew prayers are, that simply states that Elohim is one person. In other words they have been taught for thousands of years that Elohim is one, not three (persons).

Thank you,

Jons

Jons,

Maybe you need to stop getting your fallacious information from Zeitgeist. All of what you have just mentioned has been refuted for thousands of years, it's nothing new.
Yeshua declared "My Sheep HEAR my voice & I GIVE unto them ETERNAL LIFE. Clearly, or at least for the present moment you are NOT of His Sheep because you hear NOT His voice. Read John chapters 6,8,10,14,& 17. A matter of fact read the entire Gospel(s). Without The Spirit of The Living GOD revealing Himself to you, you will FOREVER remain in YOUR SIN. Without you HONOURING Yeshua in the SAME manner as you would The Father, you CANNOT be saved! See also 1st Corinthians chapters 1 & 2.

Although your message was directed to Dr White, I am certain he will concur with the Biblical references I have cited. Salvation IS the Supernatural work of GOD. Without The GRACE OF GOD it is IMPOSSIBLE to approach (to please) Him. GOD through Yeshua ALONE makes reconciliation a REALITY for those who have been DRAWN to Him by The Father.

FOR HIS GLORY!!

@jons:
First off, the idea of the trinity is not pagan. The reason jews don't flock to Christian churches is probably due to the anti-semitism perpetrated by so-called christians over the years.

Second, You seem to have a superficial understanding of the Shema, my muslim friend.

Let's take a look at the Shema which you appealed to:
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Deuteronomy 6:4

Now let's translate:
Shema Yisrael, Yahweh Elohenu Yahweh Echad

1. Elohenu is a plural word which could translate this as, "Hear O Israel, The Lord Our GODS, the Lord is one.

2. One, used here is ECHAD, and it shows plurality in unity as seen in Genesis 1:3, Genesis 2:24 and Jeremiah 32:38-39. If Moses wanted to imply the absolute singularity of the Godhead he could have easily used the Hebrew yachid as in Gen. 22:2. There, Isaac is called Abraham's only Son.

So jons don't you EVER say that Elohim was said to be one person.

Jabari,

Excellent point! Well noted.

Jons,

You have already been adequately responded to above, but here is an article that might help lead you away from your anti-trinitarian misreading of the Shema into a glorious vision of the truth of the Triune God: The Shema and the Shahada

The J.W's deny the doctrine of a Triune God also. When I first became a +ian I was led to study the cults and other religions. Let's see what the N.W.T has to say about the Person of Christ and the Trinity.

Gen.1:1 In [the] beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Gen.2:7 And Jehovah God proceeded to form the man out of dust from the ground and to blow into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man came to be a living soul.

John1:1 In [the] beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. 2 This one was in [the] beginning with God. 3 All things came into existence through him, and apart from him not even one thing came into existence. What has come into existence 4 by means of him was life, and the life was the light of men.

Notice what the J.W's do here? They can't accept Jesus is Jehovah, so they try to make Him out to be a secondary god. They, of course deny He is a lesser god, but ask them to explain what 'a god' means, they'll try to evade the Q. Note also how this 'a god' creates everything!!!

v:10 He was in the world, and the world came into existence through him, but the world did not know him.

v:14 So the Word became flesh and resided among us, and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs to an only-begotten son from a father; and he was full of undeserved kindness and truth.

Now they say the Creator became a man, came into this world He created, "resided among us" the "only-begotten son."

They say "only-begotten son" but deny it means equality with The Father.
So, what the N.W.T admits is: The Creator is Jehovah God, Jesus created "all things," Jesus is "a god" not God!

Col.1:5 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist,..

Again the N.W.T inserts a word into the text to promote their heresy, "other." What "other" things were there to create? Well, they teach, "Jesus was all Jehovah created" and through Jesus, His "master worker" everything else was made, as though this somehow makes Jesus a lesser being.

Problem is, the text does not say that.

John 8:24 Therefore I said to YOU, YOU will die in YOUR sins. For if YOU do not believe that I am [he], YOU will die in YOUR sins.”

Let's see if this works.

'Unless you believe I am an angel created by God you will die in your sins.'
'Unless you believe I am Jehovah's sole creation and I created everything else, but I'm not the Creator, you will, die in your sins.'
'Unless you believe I am the "only-begotten son" but not equal to God, you will, die in your sins.'

Take the word "other" out of the passage, now see how it reads. J.W's will object because they start from the same place Islam starts from.

Acts 8:29 So the spirit said to Philip: “Approach and join yourself to this chariot.”

They deny the Holy Spirit is a Person and that He is the Third of One, claiming "holy spirit" is "an active force." Can a force speak?

Ephesians 4:30 Also, do not be grieving God’s holy spirit,..

Can a force be grieved?

Acts 5:3 But Peter said: “An·a·ni´as, why has Satan emboldened you to play false to the holy spirit and to hold back secretly some of the price of the field? 4 As long as it remained with you did it not remain yours, and after it was sold did it not continue in your control? Why was it that you purposed such a deed as this in your heart? You have played false, not to men, but to God.”

They died because they lied to the Holy Spirit/God!!!

These, among many other things are problematic for any who try to twist biblical Texts to promote their carnal understanding.

P.S. The ransom was paid to Whom it was due.

The origin of the Trinity is scriptural.
There are several passages, particularly in the New Testament, in which Jesus describes the 3-person 1-substance idea.
It is also referred to several times in the OT.
The doctrine of the Trinity is not "adding gods to God" at all.
I know of no Christian who would say he/she worships three gods. To do so is to internalize an outsider's view of them.

The Shema Israel is the Jewish creed; the profession of faith.

Jesus said that a tree is known by its fruits.

I personally beleive every Word Jesus said and therefore say that it is quite a funny phrase: Can mohammad save you? Of course he cannot by any standards. Weigh him under any moral standard and the conclusion will be none other than that he was no prophet and surely was against The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. I dont know why for many it may take a huge theological debate to come to this conclusion.

We know how he tried to save a dead woman: by lying down with her in the grave. Is this some way to save a soul? IMAGINE!!!

"Can Muhammad Save You?"

This is a very important question that James White brings up and our Muslim brothers and sisters should really reflect on this. Think for a moment, regardless if one is a true, false or the final prophet, nobody but GOD can save you from hellfire.

Take a moment and reflect on your own spirituality, especially when your eternal life is in your hands. If you are choosing to believe 1-man (Prophet Muhammad) to be the fork in the road to salvation or damnation, you better be sure that you are ok with putting your soul into the prayers of a man; prayers of a man who say that God will not listen to all the other prophets except him at the final judgement.
