Department of Homeland Security Considering Submission to CAIR's Demands

On September 11th, 2001, a group of Muslims hijacked several planes and flew them into buildings, killing thousands of people. Airport security was greatly increased after these attacks.

But Muslims have struggled (sometimes successfully) to find ways around security. On December 22, 2001, a convert to Islam named Richard Reid attempted to blow up a plane with explosives hidden in his shoes. This is why we must now remove our shoes for scanning whenever we fly.

Shoes aren't the only place to hide explosives, however. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab attempted to blow up a plane on Christmas Day, 2009, using explosives hidden in his underwear.

Rumors are now circulating about terrorists hiding bombs inside of them (either in their digestive tracts or, in the case of women, in breast implants). Airports have started putting people through full-body scanners. Yet Muslims complained about the full-body scanners (which show an image of the body). The TSA submitted, offering a "pat-down" to people who don't want to go through the scanner. CAIR is now complaining about the pat-down, suggesting that airport security only be allowed to pat down Muslim women's heads and necks (since that's obviously the place they would hide a bomb). The Department of Homeland Security is considering whether it should allow Muslim women to pat themselves down, rather than be patted down by security.

And so it continues. Muslims come up with creative ways around security procedures that were designed to stop Muslim terrorists from killing people. And government agencies keep submitting, so as to avoid offending Muslims. Can we get any dumber?

With the holidays fast approaching, the Transportation Safety Agency has announced new security procedures requiring passengers selected for secondary screening to go through a machine that produces a full body scan producing a nude but grainy, black and white image. Passengers choosing to opt out of the scan will face a full body pat.

The head of Homeland Security has indicated the government is considering the request of an Islamic organization that has suggested Muslim women be allowed to pat themselves down during a full body search that is part of new enhanced procedures at airports.

Since implementing the procedures, numerous complaints have arisen that the search is not a “pat-down” but rather feeling and grabbing along a person’s genitalia and other areas until they meet resistance. Critics have said the pat-downs would be considered sexual assault if performed elsewhere.

The TSA defends the procedures as necessary in light of last years “underwear bomber” and the recent issues involving printer cartridges being used in an attempt to blow up cargo planes.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, CAIR, has expressed concern with the TSA over the regulations and recommended special procedures for dealing with Muslim women. The organization issued a travel advisory for Muslims over the procedure.

In the advisory CAIR advises all Muslims to contact them and file a complaint with the TSA if they experience any “disturbing incidents” with the new procedures and they feel they have been unfairly singled out for screening.

It goes on to make special recommendations for Muslim women wearing a hijab covering their face. The advisory says women are to inform the officer they are only to pat down the head and neck and says “They should not subject you to a full-body or partial body pat-down.” They also recommend that women should be permitted to pat themselves down and “have the officers perform a chemical swipe of your hands.”

Barack Obama’s Homeland Security Czar, Janet Napolitano, is considering changes to the procedures to address the issues raised by CAIR. (Read more.)

I lived in an Islamic country for 4years. I flew at least 6 times a year. Every woman was patted down in a side area before check-in at the airport. Women were patted down by uniformed female security officers.
This objection is absurd!!! If our security officials submit to the suggestion of the head and neck check or self-pat down, the entire agency should be investigated by the CIA as domestic terrorist!!!

I pray that Homeland Security will have the courage to ignore CAIR and not comply with their commands. If they do, it'll be the death of us all :(. The reason C.A.I.R. is doing this is so there can be more terrorist attacks here in America.

If security is unable to search certain people fully, it defeats the whole point of the pat-down. The suggestion to have only "head and neck" pat-downs for Muslim women is ridiculous. CAIR is ridiculous. The fact that we even need full-body scanners is ridiculous. RIDICULOUS.

Here is how i look at it......

I'm Ethiopian, and if Ethiopians were known to blow up planes, murder innocent people, suicides, kill children etc. everything that islam is known for then i will have absolutely NO problem w/ my people being classify as dangers.

I personally might not be dangerous but b/c i belong in the category of people who are notorious for that then i MUST be willing to comply with the rules and accepted the consequences for being Ethiopian. Otherwise i can chose to disassociate my self from them.

It has got to be the same way w/ muslims. We can't take chances anymore! Everyone from child to adult, from black to white, from western to middle-eastern, can and is willing to kill for allah.

I'm sick and tired of this nonsense! CAIR really needs to be investigated and put on the FBI's list w/ Al-Quda and Hamas. YUP! you heard me right.

Pat themselves down? Really? Wow....What if Police were to ask suspects to hand cuff themselves because they don't want to injure the person...

To quote our British friend Pat Cordell "we are pissing in our drinking water" in order to politically correct.

I have a solution to all this before you get enter the airport you need to pet a pig or you get the full body scan no exceptions.

Islamic terror is now resulting in astounding invasions of everyone's privacy, except, if CAIR gets its way, the privacy of Muslims.

The new scanner apparently produces a grainy, naked body image. As far as I can tell, the new scanner does not see inside a person's body. Nor would a pat down. So what happens when the jihadists go the route of implants, or swallowed bombs?

I wonder if we are here approaching some sort of boundary. Air travel has changed radically in a few short years. Will it keep on changing radically, as jihadists come up with ever new threats? I wonder if we are all sleepwalking into the end of airline travel as we know it. I wonder if the large and mostly unforeseen changes we have been witnessing presage imminent and even larger changes we cannot now imagine.

It's the honor code.

Bomber: (after self pat down) "No sir, I don't feel any bombs under my clothes."

Security officer: "Scout's honor? Alright then, on your way."

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! What kind of nonsense is this! IF they object, then what is the problem with them getting a uniformed woman to pat them down. This appeasement should never stand. It is ridiculous. Sikhs have turbans, they don't have a problem with the scans. If you aren't guilty of something, then you won't be looking for a way to maneuver out of it. That's just my two cents.

I call BS so much on CAIR and their organization as nothing more then a screwed up bunch of idiots. I am so tired of these rules being created due to some terrorist and then Muslims getting all their panties up in a bunch over security policy and thinking they are exempt from them. Understand I get that not all Muslims are the issue, but this is getting out of control. Before you know it we will be an Islamic state if we keep catering to their demands.

Heard the story of a man who was given a full body scan and had a smaller private part than his co-workers. They, [his co-workers] "teased him mercilessly until he committed suicide."

How would you feel if your little child was put through this humiliating procedure? Think of the psychological problems on a child.

Would someone in a wheelchair be exempt from scan or groping?

Alzheimer sufferers. What if some jihadist uses them to smuggle a bomb aboard? They too must needs be scanned/groped, yeah?

Will this be limited to airports only? I think this will spread further afield.

I've yet to see the Muslim response on this thread. Maybe there's one on the way whilst I'm writing, let's see.

Can't think of any dignified Muslim man who wouldn't object to this invasion of privacy. What, I wonder will they say when their young child[ren] is asked to step forward for a groping. Will they watch as the young girl is given a full body scan knowing men are looking? Any objections to her being fondled? How about his wife; objections? Will he be ok with the infidel searching his/her body visually? Ok, so women get their own section for a scan/grope. Does this make them feel any easier?

I guess if you're the kinky sort you'll look forward to traveling any time soon.
What about the famous? What if their scans are placed on YouTube!

Ok, I know it's a depressing post, but it's not my fault. Islam started it.

Take nude photos and grope at everyone who passes through the airport. Except Muslims. Brilliant.

Perhaps we should all start wearing burkas as we pass through security to avoid sexual violation by the government.

This is so funny I forgot to laugh. So the only way our government will not physically and psychologically abuse us is if we deny being a Christian and say we are Muslim.

Hmmmm.....where I have I heard something like that before?
