David, i agree these pics are very nasty and bad, this shouldnt happen, but at the same time where was the same outrage when this happened to the lebanease and palestinians? i could get the exact and worst from lebanon, and just turn your tv on now and see the same brutality on gaza.
just today up to 200 Palestinians were killed, many of them women and children, where is the outrage now? and up to 700 wounded
David, the Muslims of India refused to burry these terrorists in their cemetry, it was quite clear that the majority of Indian Muslims, as well as global Muslims were against the Mumbai attacks.
Ibn said: "When will the pictures of the recent Israeli attacks on Gaza which killed more than 120 people be uploaded?"
I'll start posting responses to Israeli violence when the name of this site changes to "Answering Judaism." (Note: This isn't about to happen any time soon.)
Sami said: "David, i agree these pics are very nasty and bad, this shouldnt happen, but at the same time where was the same outrage when this happened to the lebanease and palestinians?"
There's a difference here. The Palestinians and the Israelis are in a major conflict that has been going on for decades; thus, whether we approve of violence or not, violence isn't surprising. What was surprising about the Mumbai attacks is that they seemed to be completely random. True, Pakistan doesn't get along with India very well, but this seemed to come out of nowhere.
David, i agree, the conflict between Israelis and Palis have been going on for a while, but it doesnt justify what is happening, I mean for instance in the past 6 months Palis have been under the worst humanitarian siege, NYC would never take such a thing, but the Palis are expected to, and now the icing of the cake is today, entire police stations have been destroyed, children walking home from school have been killed.
Now just to make myself clear, i completely condemn the Mumbai attacks, it was completely wrong, should have never happened, and the people who carried it out, and planned it should be brought to justice and account for their crimes and for all the civillians they killed.
As bad as it is, Israel has waited long enough to strike back.
Sami said: just today up to 200 Palestinians were killed, many of them women and children.
As bad as that is, Hamas (which in Hebrew ironically means violence, btw) doesn't even care if it hits women and children itself when it fires its rockets into Israel. So why should Israel care? Hamas members hide between women and children and when the women and children are hit, they cry faul. It's amazing, and I will repeat it again and I will continue repeating it. When Muslims do things to non-muslims, you don't hear them. But when they get the same treatment, they cry faul and want everyone to condemn the actions of the non-muslims.
Today, the Egyptian government was all over the israeli embassador, demanding condemnation of the actions of Israel. But for days in a row, rockets have been fired from Gaza and not a single muslim was saying anything. Israel pleaded with the international community to do something about the rockets fired at it from the Gaza strip, and what happened? NO ONE OPENED HIS MOUTH! Now that Israel strikes back, everyone is crying!
I guess Israel will always be the "agressor", even if it doesn't do anything. And the same goes for America. As long as America exists it will be cursed and accused by the Muslim world. Even if it does nothing. Because we all know that whenever something goes wrong in the Muslim world, it can never be because there is something wrong there. No, it is because Israel and America exist, that's why things go wrong over there.
Also, the media is a complete JOKE. All this footage from Gaza, but not a single footage, no not even a picture, from S'derot and Ashkelon, who are hit by rockets from Gaza. Children being scared to go outside and wait in shelters all the time. ZERO attention to that.
Bottom line:The chosen people are not at fault. As if starving the Palestinians of necessary resources wasn't enough through the blockades, they had to shower them with bombs. To them, HAMAS=GAZA
Wood:I'll start posting responses to Israeli violence when the name of this site changes to "Answering Judaism." (Note: This isn't about to happen any time soon.)
My mistake. It would betray the purpose of this site which is hell bent on demonizing Muslims and Islam to expose the injustices committed against the Palestinians by Israel.
Ibn said: "My mistake. It would betray the purpose of this site which is hell bent on demonizing Muslims and Islam to expose the injustices committed against the Palestinians by Israel."
I think this is a misrepresentation. Practically everything I say about Islam is either said here (where Muslims can comment as much as they like), or in public debate (where Muslims can respond to everything I say).
To put it differently, I've gone out of my way to make sure that Muslims always have the opportunity to present their views and to show me when I make an error. People "hell bent on demonizing Muslims" don't do such things.
As a Christian I am concerned about Israelies and Palestinians alike. I do recognise Israels place in God's prophetic plan, there is nothing we can do about that. But as Christians our heart should go out to both factions, that would be following the example of both Jesus Christ and Paul.
I agree with David however, that this incident is probably not the focus of this particular blog. Even though some of us have joined the debate elsewhere.
I wish however they would settle the matter with a good football match much like in good old Britain.

And when did I say the Mumbai attacks were justified on the basis of injustices committed against Palestinians in Gaza? You are foolishly attacking a straw man.
I guess this is how the average fundamentalist Christian mind works. It paints the simplest of pictures in the ugliest colors.
"And when did I say the Mumbai attacks were justified on the basis of injustices committed against Palestinians in Gaza? You are foolishly attacking a straw man."
I never said that is was something you implicitly said, rather I was extrapolating an observation drawn from many sources, and including your commentary within the scope of it. And by the way, I wholeheartedly agree that it's sad that innocent people in Gaza are killed for ANY reason.
Very true. If due to the conflict between India and Pakistan, if either of the countries launch an attack on specific targets (for example, India attacking suspected terrorist camps that trained the Mumbai terrorists) and if as an undesired side affect of such an attack led to death of innocent men/women/children who are not in battle, that is a different matter. The Mumbai attack is a deliberate attack on innocents who are not in battle. So Sami's attempt to equate the two is incorrect. On the other hand, many of Israel's excessive use of force also deserve a condemnation. From a worldly perspective though, it is understandable why Israel as a nation in the midst of ruthless fanatical neighborhood and terrorist elements working overtime and who want to use all means to wipe out the entire Israelites at the first opportunity (if they can), Israel wants to retaliate/act fast and hard. While that is understandable, not all of its high-handedness can be justified. Most of the Islamic groups that consider Israel as an enemy believe as their stated doctrine that deliberate targeting and killing of innocents (who are not in battle) is alright.
FIRST OF ALL THIS WAS DONE BY PAKITAN IS AND EVER1 KNOWS ABOUT IT SECONDLY ISI is part of extended CIA network and CIA is in jaysus land.
PS: I would like to see the homosexual acts done by Christians in abu gharib and Guantanamo and killing and torture of the Muslims of which 99% have no charge put against them.
"I would like to see the homosexual acts done by Christians in abu gharib and Guantanamo and killing and torture of the Muslims of which 99% have no charge put against them."
Christian means Christ one or follower/imitator of Christ. Those responsible for Abu Ghraib never claimed to be Christian or to have done this in the name of Christ or Christianity. We true followers of Christ deplore what happened there and I personally believe those responsible got off with too light of a sentence.
I find Muslim thinking that white or west means Christian. Please correct your thinking as this is absolutely false and provably so. Here's the proof: Christ commanded us to love others so to hate others is as much as murder. Therefore those who committed such acts cannot possibly call themselves Christians. Jesus Himself said, "Not everyone who keeps saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will get into the kingdom of heaven, but only the person who keeps doing the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name, drove out demons in your name, and performed many miracles in your name, didn't we?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you evildoers!'" (Matthew 7:21-23)
So if I were to claim to be a Muslim and went out and committed homosexual sins would that mean I was a true Muslim? Please understand Christ's words, "He who is not for me is against me!" (Matthew 12:30)
No, the Mumbai massacre was wrong and so was the Abu Ghraib a sin. Therefore God is not pleased with either group of perpetrators and they cannot possibly call themselves His followers. I trust you agree with this as it is fundamental truth and crucial to understanding who is a Christian.
Actually I prefer to be called a follower of the Way, who is Jesus Christ Himself. I say this because there are many who call themselves Christians from Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, and every other group, but in reality are just religious and not true followers, obedient to Christ's command to love others.
