Was Nabeel Qureshi a Muslim?

Nabeel Qureshi was raised in the Ahmadiyya sect of Islam. He attended a Sunni mosque, prayed the required daily prayers, and fasted during the month of Ramadan. Eventually, Nabeel left Islam and became a Christian. Many Muslim apologists now tell their fellow Muslims to dismiss Nabeel's arguments because he "wasn't really a Muslim." Is this correct? In this video, I answer three questions:
(1) What are the beliefs and practices that qualify someone as a Muslim?
(2) What did Nabeel Qureshi believe and practice before he became a Christian?
(3) Do Ahmadi beliefs and practices rule one out as a Muslim?

The story of Nabeel was mildly entertaining, I can especially relate to being strictly on time when the fasting breaks during Ramadan. I can't think of anybody more punctual than a Muslim about to break his or her fast.

But to tackle his past "Muslim" life directly, you pretty much said it yourself, Nabeel believed that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was not only a prophet but was the promised Messiah, this disqualified Nabeel from Islam in totality, a religion whose only Messiah is Jesus Christ and whose final Prophet (Muhammad) explicitly stated that there is nobody being appointed Prophet after him. No amount of prayer or fasting helps an individual who believes in false prophets.

Whether Nabeel actually was a "Muslim" may have some bearing on whether his claims today about the religion are valid or not. For a person to look at the Qur'an and Hadith and conclude that it is consistent with both sources to believe that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a prophet and also the promised messiah, well, such a person may be looked at with suspicion and a healthy scepticism the next time they claim a particular interpretation stems from the Qur'an and Hadith.

Hoping you'll see this request here, I'll copy it exactly as presented. It's in a video I mirrored from your YT account:

"Have you had make a video about the stealth flying donkey that Mohamed use to fly around back and forth to heaven?"

I can't find you've made a video about this ludicrous topic, so I'm hoping you'll consider doing so soon!
