Rob Bowman: Is Jesus God?

The core of the New Testament Gospel is that Jesus is the divine Son of God, who died on the cross for sins and rose from the dead. The title "Son of God" here refers to Jesus' place in the Trinity. But why do Christians believe that Jesus is a person of the Trinity? In this video, Dr. Rob Bowman, co-author of "Putting Jesus in His Place," explains the Biblical basis for the doctrine of the deity of Christ.

Muslims will never understand the humility of Christ's mission. They view of God will always reflect the Koran's arrogant Allah. For them it is beneath Allah's majesty to be humble, that's why they require proof in clear terms spoken through the mouth of Jesus himself ...

No matter how strong the evidence of Jesus death on the cross is to the world Muslims will not accept it except one by one they encounter Jesus Christ personally. I know a lot of Muslims today who are now Christians. If you ask them why they convert, there stories will not be they saw the evidence of Jesus crucifixion and His resurrection on the thrid day but through dreams or some sort of revelations or love shown to them by a christian. My prayer for my muslims friends is that they encounter Jesus personally.

Smalltallest88, if we listen to Nabeel Qureshi, the dreams were one of the factors of how he came to Christ too, besides having all these debates with David initially. While God does work in mysterious ways (I came to know Jesus better personally by trying to understand Islam more ironically and right now I feel Christians should not just go to church every Sunday without asking questions, but they should also know WHY they believe), I also think if we were to ask Him sincerely enough to reveal Himself to us, He will do it. Nabeel said, "God, whoever you are, just show yourself to me" and that's basically the idea.

The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Dreams are not.

Apart from the preaching of the Gospel, no one can; no one will be saved. But if dreams get someone's attention so that they consider the gospel, that's great.
