Pakistani Taliban Declares Allegiance to ISIS (Islamic State)

This. Is. Bad.
Pakistani Taliban Spokesman Shahidullah Shahid
Reuters - The Pakistani Taliban declared allegiance to Islamic State on Saturday and ordered militants across the region to help the Middle Eastern jihadist group in its campaign to set up a global Islamic caliphate.

Islamic State, which controls swathes of land in Syria and Iraq, has been making inroads into South Asia, which has traditionally been dominated by local Taliban insurgencies against both the Pakistan and Afghanistan governments.

The announcement comes after a September move by al Qaeda chief, Ayman al-Zawahri, to name former Taliban commander Asim Umar as the "emir" of a new South Asia branch of the network that masterminded the 2001 attacks on the United States.

Although there is little evidence of a firm alliance yet between IS and al Qaeda-linked Taliban commanders, IS activists have been spotted recently in the Pakistani city of Peshawar distributing pamphlets praising the group.

IS flags have also been seen at street rallies in Indian-administered Kashmir. The trend has been of growing concern to global powers struggling to keep up with the fast-changing nature of the international Islamist insurgency.

In a message marking the Muslim holy festival of Eid al-Adha, the Pakistani Taliban said they fully supported IS goals.

"Oh our brothers, we are proud of you in your victories. We are with you in your happiness and your sorrow," Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said in a statement sent to Reuters by email from an unknown location.

"In these troubled days, we call for your patience and stability, especially now that all your enemies are united against you. Please put all your rivalries behind you ...

"All Muslims in the world have great expectations of you ... We are with you, we will provide you with Mujahideen (fighters) and with every possible support."

The statement, released in Urdu, Pashto and Arabic, was sent after Islamic State militants beheaded British aid worker Alan Henning in a video posted on Friday, triggering condemnation by the British and U.S. governments. (Continue Reading.)

Peace and blessings of LORD JESUS on everyone.
I don't understand why people are so shocked by this news. Taliban is been doing the killings and beheadings long before Islamic state (not ISIL, get it straight politicians) and it was inevitable that they would join the khilafat of Islam. The only difference was that Taliban didn't use social media that much because of the obvious lack of skills in technology and Pakistani army is a little better than Iraqi army.
Let's see where this goes from here. But one thing is for sure that Christians in Pakistan are getting ready to defend themselves (or atleast try). No turning the bum cheeks anymore, we have ran out of cheeks to turn.
God bless

Time for fervent prayers that the Lord Jesus Christ sustain the Christians in Pakistan.

Paki P...That one statement alone has been in my mind for over a decade - Turn the other cheek..I have always had an issue with this statement. Why must we turn the other cheek? Why is it always us ( Christians ) that has to do that? How many more Christians must perish because we are told to turn the other cheek for us to say no more? I apologize if I have offended anybody with this comment of mine, I mean no disrespect but it doesn't make sense why we should die because of someones else's false religion ( islam ) or because their " god " and " prophet " said so?? Why can't we fight or at least defend ourselves?..It is refreshing to read your statement paki p - No turning the bum cheeks anymore, we have ran out of cheeks to turn..

David Wood..thank you so very much for all the work you and your team has done to bring awareness about the true meaning of islam. You Sir have done me a huge favour because in Malaysia they all say islam is a religion of peace, truth, harmony and all the pretty fairies, elves and cute little teddy bear but I had a rude awakening when I started watching your videos on youtube and reading the quran...

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction

The truth is not for all men, but only for those who seek it.

Ayn, another fellow Malaysian here. This website, together with answering-islam, has opened my eyes to what Islam truly is. They have just celebrated the Eid-Adha yesterday. Slightly more than a year ago, I wanted to find out more about what is the difference between Eid-Fitri and Eid-Adha, since we live in a Muslim majority country, and since we have many Muslims friends who admittedly are usually benign, so I Googled it. The first item that came up on the search was the answering-islam website. So one thing led to another and here we are. You're right. It is time for Christians to fight back. This situation will come to a head. Jesus commanded us to love our enemies, but even He, the Almighty Son of God, would speak out if something isn't right. We now know that all those "Islam is a religion of peace" rhetoric that our government and the media keeps feeding us are crap. In fact, because several Malaysians have left to join the "radical" Islamic State (who are only being truly Islamic), our leading English daily has launched a "moderation" campaign, to try to remind everyone to be "moderate". The question is, who wasn't being moderate and needed reminding in the first place? Why is being radical such a prominent element in this one particular religion? Shouldn't that be a red light that tells us something is wrong with this religion? I cannot do nothing so I sent several articles from Answering Muslims to the editors. If they choose to continue to publish lies, that's their choice, but they can no longer claim to be ignorant about what real Islam is. And I now know Eid-Adha is one cruel festival (where are the animal rights activists??), if you know the definition of halal, so I now also avoid halal restaurants.

[Dacritic"Eid-Adha is one cruel festival (where are the animal rights activists??"

They're silent when it comes to killing human lives, e.g. pre-born human lives.

The animal rights movement is dangerous, because it elevates animals and downgrades human life.
J. Wesley Smith has written about this. Some articles of his are at
http://www.nationalreview.com/author/wesley-j-smith

I saw a PETA poster today showing a pic of monkeys and the caption 'first they take your freedom' (the monkeys were in a big laboratory cage), 'and then they take your babies' (as in baby monkeys).

In the USA, the Muslim Brotherhood wants strict gun control, and the Liar in Chief-- who has a Muslim Brotherhood person as a close advisor-- pushes for it when he can.
He also wants Syrian 'moderates' armed (which is what, al-Qaeda lite?), but has said nada about directly arming the Kurds and Yazidis.
In Nazi Germany there was strict gun control.

"Turn the other cheek" is really about not being small minded, petty backbiting, and tit-for-tat arguments and behavior.

But when someone wants to physically injure or kill you, and there is no law enforcement around to prevent it (Romans 13:1-7), then God would expect you defend yourself to the best of your ability, because the murderer and robber has no right to injure or destroy the body of another since it is not his property to destroy. The body is not to be harmed or destroyed by anyone for any reason, because all things, including our bodies, belong to God. If the robber is himself killed during the attack then that is his problem, since it was he that took the risk in breaking the law (“You shall not murder” Exodus 20:13) in the first place.

No one should ever confuse "turn the other cheek" with rightfully defending ones own life and limb in the absence of official law enforcement.

I think some people got me wrong when I said that Christians in Pakistan are preparing to defend themselves. If push comes to shove then we will pick up weapons if necessary but what I meant is that , believe it or not, there are Muslim groups that are willing to stand with the minorities if Taliban tried to duplicate what IS is doing in Iraq and Syria.
I don't think we can bomb an ideology but you can surely work around.
As far as turning the other cheek I don't really know what to say. I'm not a biblical scholar But I'm sure CHRIST JESUS didn't want us to bend over after we been slapped quite a few times.

Peace and blessing of LORD JESUS be with you.
People who say that we should keep turning the other cheek are probably dimmi minded western Christian who say we all worship the same God. They have not lived in a Muslim country.
I live (on and off) in Pakistan and work with oppressed and persecuted Christians.
I worked on a case where a 11 year old kid was shot in the head along with his family for going to church on Sunday, I refuse to turn my cheek to that. A young Christian nurse was gang raped in a hospital and when she filed charges the rapists counter filed charges against her for blasphemy, I refuse to turn my cheek to that. 3 young Christian boys were charged with blasphemy when they refuse to leave the cricket field when told to do so by Muslims, I refuse to turn my cheek to that. I refuse to turn my cheek when my Christian brothers and sisters and kids and old alike are persecuted and killed everyday for no other reason than just being a Christian. I won't turn my cheek to that.
And one thing that I would like to tell my fellow stupid Americans and I do from time to time is that please listen to brother David, sam shamoun, nabeel, Anthony, Robert Spencer and tons of others. You have no idea how great this country is. You have no idea what it is to NOT have freedom. Defend it before you lose it.
God bless

Indeed.

"You have no idea what it is to NOT have freedom. Defend it before you lose it."

"Defend it" how?
I can understand a reluctance for Xtians to evangelize Muslims while living in Islamic lands.
I don't understand some Xtians' reluctance to evangelize Muslims while living in the USA, which for the moment is rich in freedom.

David Ford, well said. Even in "first world" Singapore, it is deemed "sensitive" to evangelise to Muslims, even though Singapore itself is not Islamic...well probably because Singapore used to be part of Malaysia and they are literally surrounded by Islam (Malaysia and Indonesia) and they are afraid of rubbing up their neighbours the wrong way.

Defend it how? You just answered your own question brother. Why don't we minister to Muslims in this country? I'll tell you why cuz there is a freedom of religion for everyone in this country BUT Christians. If you follow the news there were protests in every major city of USA against Israel but how many Christians protested against the beheadings of American citizens at the hand of IS? None. How many people signed a petition against not using marry Christmas but instead now we have to say "happy holidays"? . Do you get time off 5 times a day at work to pray to your LORD? Muslims do. Can you get special leave to go visit the holy cities? Muslims get time off from work to go perform hajj.
It is a free country BUT once you mention Christ you automatically lose your freedom.
Either you agree with the homosexual community or you automatically become a hater. Most fast food chains serve halal meat now but how many serve kosher?
Now i have no hate against Muslims or gays but when I'm FORCED to agree with things that contradict with my religion I think I'm not free to practice my religion.
One can be Muslim or gay and that's perfectly fine by me. They have a right andI'll fight for that right but who will fight for my right to disagree.
Evangelize Muslims? Forget Muslims, it's our own Christian brothers and sisters who we need to evangelize. They now next to nothing about their own CHRIST.
look around you, the only extremist we have in USA are majority of people who are converts and not originally born in Islam.
So my brother we need to defend our right to practise out religion without having to apologize to anyone.
America is the last hope of Christians like me where we can practise out religion without having to worry about being killed.
May LORD JESUS bless you abundantly.

Paki P. Nice one. Absolutely right that we should also evangelise to Christians, our own brothers and sisters. Starting from the closet Muslim himself, Barack Obama.
