Refuting Zakir Naik on Muhammad in the Bible

According to Qur'an 7:157, the Bible contains prophecies about Muhammad. Not surprisingly, Muslim apologists like Zakir Naik have searched the Bible desperately in order to find these so-called prophecies about Muhammad. Some of the most common passages Muslims point to are Deuteronomy 18:18, Isaiah 29:12, Song of Solomon 5:16, John 14:16.

In this video, Sam Shamoun and I examine Naik's arguments, showing that all of the passages he refers to actually prove that Muhammad was a false prophet. Indeed, as we demonstrate, any Muslim who takes Naik's arguments seriously must conclude that Allah is a mouse, that Muhammad stubbornly refused to listen to God, and that Jesus is Muhammad's God!

Great job as usual,an inspiration to me.Guys have you heard that 6 months ago atheist blogger(and Jewish by blood)Leah Libresco converted to Catholicism?Check out her blog, she is an intelligent and sincere person.Personally I am puzzled by her choice of Catholic Christianity.

In my case I come from a Catholic culture, where almost nobody practices or even believes in any form of Christianity yet still celebrate Christmas(in a secular fashion,by having a party).

When I got interested in Christianity(reading Lee Strobel"The Case for Christ") I decided to investigate more.Several times I was convinced the skeptics were right, that X technical problem proved Christianity to be false. But I kept reading and writing down information and several times all of a sudden I read information that answered the technical problem.

It was a matter of CONNECTING the DOTS.The new information made me say:"This changes everything, now that problem is no longer a problem".I am 100% sure many of those who leave Christianity(like Dan Barker,Hector Avalos and John Loftus) have closed their minds.

I once agreed with them that X technical problem made Christianity false(like the different resurrection accounts) but later found details that harmonized them well.Even if I were an atheist I would say that yes, those details do harmonize the accounts. But I know they have closed their minds to such logic.

Why is it so?I think it is cultural.Even with Avalos,he is Mexican yet has adopted a very North American emotional and wacko habit regarding religion.

In South American very few believe in Christianity, there are even some atheists. But for cultural reasons the non-believers do not mock religion in general,or Christianity or belief in God,etc.

Nobody in a debate or article or book would be sarcastic and emotional in their arguments about religion. But in the US there is an emotionalism in the writings of many skeptics even regarding the best arguments against their position. From too many,so it is not just one or two oversensitive people. It is a cultural thing here. You notice it specially regarding Hitchens,Barker,Avalos. And when someone gives good reasons why they are wrong on X detail they are emotionally incapable of having the ability to recognize the importance of it and say:"I didnt know this before or did not make that connection before,it changes everything".

I have bought and read and keep rereading the 3 books by John Loftus(which contains the articles of other authors) which are "Why I became an atheist"/"The Christian Delusion"/"The End of Christianity".In it Avalos actually says that Positive Christianity is to be considered a valid form of Christianity.

Positive Christianity was created by the Nazis, where Jesus is not Jewish but an Aryan and is antisemitic. That sounds convincing but I am sure Avalos is being utterly unscholarly here.

He certainly knows or should know that the Nazis also adopted NIETZSCHE,the greatest philosopher of the 19th century,as a NAZI.For them Nietzsche's superman was the Aryan, the superman was a RACIAL term.

But Avalos knows or should know that no philosophy scholar accepts the idea that the Nazis' were TRUE disciples of Nietzsche.None would say NAZISM was NIETZSCHEAN.Even though Nietzsche was against pity and pacifism,he was also against democracy, and he thought women were inferior to men.So were the Nazis.I mean Avalos knows that, yet he has the illogic to say Positive Christianity is CHRISTIAN.Suppose one were to show him all this, would he be open to logic?I dont think so,I think he would ignore it and repeat the same thing another time. Why?For EMOTIONAL reasons. That's my personal impression of his way of acting and thinking.

Love the Muslim argument that Muhammad's name is explicitly said in the Song of Solomon... the same book in the bible that they say is the most filthy and pornographic.

Love it for its incredible and simple refutation.

Guys, again though off topic,I remember Richard Carrier,in a speech he made in youtube, actually said "Contrary to what is believed,Hitler was a Christian".

It is such reasoning that makes me doubt his accuracy as a scholar.Ok,my point is this,as I said before the Nazis adopted Nietzsche as one of their own,but I don't think Carrier would say "Nazism was Nietzschean".

Nietzsche,to all who have read his atheistic philosophy, was undeniably a prophet,he foresaw the future of Western civilization.Hitler himself had the Nazis honor the sister of Nietzsche, who was an ardent Nazi and Judeophobe. She liked Hitler. When she died the Nazis attended the funeral.

Would Carrier say "Hitler was a Nietzschean"?I don't think so,he would say,(I assume, maybe I am wrong)and rightly:"Hitler's ideas in many ways were contrary to Nietzsche, the historical Nietzsche would have rejected him."

What about Nietzsche? He was NOT Judeophobic,in fact he turned against his friend Richard Wagner, the great composer, because Wagner was Judeophobic.Nietzsche would have been AGAINST Hitler.

What about Jesus? He would have been against Hitler. As you can see,Carrier's idea is illogical.

John 14:16, 17
"And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Helper, that he may abide with you for ever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him; but you know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you."

If 'Gabriel' or Mohammad was the Helper, in what respect did they help us? By teaching us to mistreat others by means of lying, cheating, raping, killing and stealing (and thereby contradicting the teachings of Jesus who spoke the words in John 14:16)? Why does the Koran - which came long after [600 A.D.] Jesus - command these things as good works?

We cannot inherit the kingdom of God by practicing the teachings of and following the example of Mohammad (i.e. the works of the flesh), or anyone like him. Instead, we will end up in hell.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleaness, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissentions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revels, and the like... those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21 [53-57 A.D.]

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Galatians 6:7

Fearing and obeying the god of the Koran and following Mohammad's example can at best be described as a reckless and dangerous risk to one's soul.

Rather, it is Jesus (God was manifested in the flesh. 1Tim 3:16. "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last." Rev 1:11) and his teachings that we should respect and obey.

"But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after he has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear him!" Luke 12:5

There is nothing to be gained and everything to loose by fearing and obeying the the god of the Koran, since he will also end up in hell.

And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Revelation 20:10
