Having read the articles by Paul Williams,ex-Christian,now Muslim in the MDI blog and the later answers to his articles about what is in the Bible in answering-islam.org I have seen Paul Williams was intellectually wrong in every detail.

He however has not bothered to accept it.In the end what is it to him regarding if he was wrong or not regarding the Bible?

After all Christianity is not his faith. What it proves is Williams and others are intellectually dishonest 100%.They are only interested in advancing Islam by telling lies about what is in the Bible.

That proves Williams has no credibility.I used to think he was open and honest but he has been shown to be a deceiver by the arguments of answering-islam.

One thing is for sure, even knowing his statements are not true he will continue saying his lies till the end of his life and say he is being "scholarly".

Williams cites skeptical scholars to prove his points but Sam Shamoun has read those same authors and points out that by those same scholars Williams is wrong.

I am sure Williams has read it all and still continues with his unscholarly propaganda and lies.

Guys check it all out here:

Defending Our Faith..

Starring..

Apologist Anthony Rogers as Himself...

&

Apologist Sam Shamoun as Sheikh Sami Shamsi

That'd be a ball of fun.
How well will Sam play the fool and defend the glory of Islam?
And how much effort will Anthony need to extinguish the zeal of Sami?

Anthony Rogers said...

It was a lot of fun. You can be sure that Sam (in his role as Sheik Shamsi) brought his A game. He certainly did not play dead. I can now make the boast that I have debated the best debater Islam ever could have had and who, by the grace of God, they will never have.

Here is a highlight from the debate on whether Muhammad is prophesied in the Bible:

Sheik Shamsi: "How much time do I have left [for rebuttal]?"

Time keeper: "Three minutes."

Sheik Shamsi: "Great. You can do miracles with three minutes."

Anthony Rogers: "Sheik Shamsi said in his rebuttal that he can work miracles in three minutes. Unfortunately his prophet that he thinks was like Moses couldn't perform a single miracle in his 23 years of "prophethood"."

Unknown said...

Anthony maybe I'm reading wrong. You claim Muhammad didn't perform a single miracle in 23 years?

I hope there will be a video recording of the debate. Seeing Sam defending Islam would be priceless.

Hi Jamal,

I am of course not denying that the Qur'an speaks of the Qur'an as a miracle given to Muhammad; rather, I am referring to miracles in the sense of what was given to some of the true prophets of Israel, especially Moses, as divine attestation of the revelation that came through them. A plethora of verses from the Qur'an make it clear that signs in this sense were not sent down upon Muhammad and that he was not given the ability to perform miracles as were earlier prophets. One of many is found in the following verse:

"Naught prevented Us from sending the signs but that the ancients cried lies to them; and We brought Thamood the She-camel visible, but they did her wrong. And We do not send the signs, except to frighten." S. 17:59

Commenting on this passage, Muhammad Asad remarks:

"This highly elliptic sentence has a fundamental bearing on the purport of the Qur'an as a whole. In many places the Qur'an stresses the fact that the Prophet Muhammad, despite his being the last and greatest of God's apostles, was not empowered to perform miracles similar to those with which the earlier prophets are said to have reinforced their verbal messages. His ONLY miracle was and is the Qur'an itself - a message perfect in its lucidity and ethical comprehensiveness, destined for all times and all stages of human development, addressed not merely to the feelings but also to the minds of men, open to everyone, whatever his race or social environment, and bound to remain unchanged forever… (Asad, Message of the Qur'an, p. 427, fn. 71)

Brother Anthony was fantastic, and a true blessing to work with. Lord willing, we will be seeing more of him since he is one of our best apologists by the grace of our Triune God.

He said:

"I can now make the boast that I have debated the best debater Islam ever could have had and who, by the grace of God, they will never have."

Amen! In Jesus' Almighty name I pray that I never become a Muslim but die as a slave of my God and Savior Jesus Christ, always being radically in love with him, and living a life that always brings him glory. I pray that for all my brothers and sisters in Christ, including Muslims, since our risen Lord is eternally worthy to receive honor and praise fro every single creature he has made.
