DEARBORN HEIGHTS (WWJ) – A judge has dismissed assault and battery charges against four high school football players who were accused of starting an on-field shoving match last October.
WWJ’s Florence Walton was in the courtroom when 20th District Judge Mark Plawecki dismissed the misdemeanor charges against the 17-year-old Star International Academy football players – Mohamed Elfatih Ahmed, Fanar Al-Furat Al-Asady, Hadee Mohamaud Attia and Ali Maniff Bajjey.
The judge said although the students’ behavior on the field was deplorable, football is a brutally violent sport.
“If we criminalize these players’ actions, we criminalize nearly every football game ever played. If we criminalize these actions, we criminalize every pitcher who has intentionally thrown at a batter, and every vagrant elbow thrown beneath the basket,” said Plawecki.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred during the final minutes of a playoff game last year, as Star International Academy was about to be defeated by Westland Lutheran High School 47-6.
Referees told the players on the field that Westland’s quarterback was going to take a knee to run out the clock, are warned players not to react violently. Instead, police say several Star players burst through the offensive line and laid out the quarterback, 15-year-old P.J. Guse, who suffered a grade III concussion and missed some school as a result.
“I’m not sure how he went flying through the air but he did. He landed face down and didn’t move. And I’ve never been so scared,” said Jane Guse, P.J.’s mother.
Players and coaches from both teams stormed the field and a brief skirmish broke out, during which Westland’s coach was punched by a Star player.
After a three-month investigation, the players were criminally charged by Dearborn Heights Police and Wayne County.
Diane Herra, who was at the game when violence erupted, said she was disappointed with the judge’s ruling.
“This boy could not even walk to the benches, he kept falling because he was so hurt. So, I just don’t understand, just because, you know, it’s a Muslim school and we’re a Christian school,” said Herra. (Read more.)

Judge Dismisses Assault Charges Against Muslim Players Who Attacked Christian Quarterback
Judge Mark Plawecki has sent a clear message to Muslim football players: If you're getting humiliated by a Christian football team (e.g., losing 47-6), feel free to punish the infidels. Of course, if four Christian players had attacked a Muslim quarterback, we'd have seen an entirely different reaction from CAIR, the media, and Judge Plawecki.

Well, this is typical of the moslem population, and the dhimmified judiciary who are so afraid of offending the moslems and being labeled racist themselves.
I hope decent schools opt out of playing with these mooks again. Cut them out. Ignore them. Islam is like a cancer, in which it must be excised from the host to assure its healthy continuance.
Damned future terrorists in training is all they are
Well, now that they realize there are no consequences for their violent actions, we can expect more violence. No Christian school should participate in any contact sports with a Muslim school.
Between this idiot judge and Judge Mark Martin the message the bench is sending is quite clear. If you're a non-Muslim, travel with lots of friends to defend yourself and bring whatever you must to do so. The criminal justice system is broken and will do you no good.
Islam spreads like a virus. It radiates from Muslim countries that are too diseased to support it and into healthy systems that are that way because they have had the luxury of developing apart from Islam. Once in the host system, the Islam virus uses the existing machinery to make replicas of itself. Over time, the host makes unilateral concessions to the religion, feeding and appeasing it in the vain hope that it can be pacified.
Vital organs are co-opted and eventually shut down as Islam advances. In a matter of time, the entire system groans to an agonizing death and assumes the condition of the diseased nations from which Muslims originally fled. The virus then looks for new hosts to cannibalize
This would happen between anyone regardless of religion due to frustration. It takes the mind of a child to see this social problem, like seriously...
@Kangaroo: but DOES it happen? How many stories have YOU heart of Chrisitans or Bhuddists beating up people? You at least condemn this judge's decision to drop the charges, right? He "suffered a grade III concussion and missed some school as a result." this wasn't just a minor injury! Surely if this was a mulsim you'd be crying about hate crimes and "Islamaphobia"!
Roo said, "This would happen between anyone regardless of religion due to frustration. It takes the mind of a child to see this social problem, like seriously..."
...and it takes a muslim to dismiss it.
@cranky....I'm am so with you on this. NO christian school should have any interaction with a muslim school until the students who did that thing are expelled from the sports program.
One more reason you can't trust muslims.
"Dawud Walid, Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations Michigan, said he is pleased with the judge’s decision"
Dawud Walid disgust me!!! Judge dismisses that is unbelievable
Throwing a punch after the round is over in a boxing match (professional or amateur) is regularly prosecuted as assault if it is egregious as the attack was in this video. The allowance for violent activity is suspended whenever play is suspended. This is generally well noted in almost any sporting event license/permit in the country.
I am not familiar with how private schools schedule games in Michigan, but in Texas outside of the UIL the schools will sign an agreement for the rules of play and penalties for violations such as this one. It'd be interesting to find out whether one of these existed in this case and whether the judge suspended it to hand down this ruling.
This judge suffers either from a severe lack of legal knowledge or a large amount of moral flexibility.
More fear based paralyzationn of our courts and media, replete with the hypocrisy and appeasement of well established, violent Islamic tactics. Recently, football players and coaching staff of the NFL New Orleans Saints, were heavily fined, with further punishments including, banning staff and players from future games, as well as a loss of upcoming draft picks. The NFL obviously feels "bounty programs" violent actions against certain players, has no place in NFL Football. This is no different, as any football enthusiast will tell you, the whole point of taking a knee, is the game is practically over, conceded and serves to protect players from needless exposure to injury. This action is par for the course, except for Dearborn, Muslim football players, whom took malicious vengeance out on this quaterback, not to mention, the epitome of being "bad sports". If the judge can't get it right, perhaps the officials associated with the school football program, can make a statement with actions, befitting the circumstance. Of course, this IS Dearborn, capitol and growing tumor, of the Islamic agenda!
I say we invite "His Honor" to a little football game of our own.....
Oh come on....it was a hate crime by those muslims. Where is the outrage here?
This was a hate crime. How quickly would the Christian team be sanctioned if they did the same thing? It's sickening.
If there's no justice to be had in our legal system then alternatives must be found.
The Internet solves the problem of not being able to watch a live casino by providing reviews. For example, websites like this one with more info have a casino rating system where independent reviewers can share their thoughts on how these casinos treat their players. I recommend you to read the info there right now.
Professional sports always have high risks and high trauma. I don't think it's worth politicizing what's happening on the field. Yes, there are those who can play dirty by provoking the enemy to break the rules. So it was with Zidane. No one can guess such a bet - https://melbet.com/ But this is what confirms that professional sports and professional bookmaking most often do business honestly.
