More Hypocrisy/Sharia Compliance from the New York Times

The Western media has been sending a clear message for years: "If you want to avoid criticism, just be as violent and intolerant as possible."

Last week, the New York Times published the following anti-Catholic ad by the Freedom from Religion Foundation:

Obviously, according to the New York Times, it's perfectly acceptable to run an ad condemning Catholicism and calling people to leave the church.

Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs exposed the blatant hypocrisy of the New York Times by submitting an almost identical ad critical of Islam:

Not surprisingly, the New York Times refused to publish the ad (at the moment, anyway), claiming that “the fallout from running this ad now could put U.S. troops and/or civilians in the [Afghan] region in danger.”

In other words, the New York Times will run an ad against Catholicism because Catholics won't go on a killing spree. But the Times won't run an ad critical of Islam because Muslims will go on a killing spree.

Hence, if Muslims want the New York Times to submit to Sharia, they simply need to earn a reputation for violence and intimidation (which they've been doing for years).

There's a simple reason Muslims have waged a campaign of terrorism for nearly fourteen centuries: It works, especially with the sort of sniveling cowards who pass for journalists nowadays.

Read more about the hypocrisy of the New York Times here and here.

Do they seriously think the average Afghan reads NYT? Afghans would never know if they ran Geller's ad or not. Half-ass excuses for double standards is what their explanation is. Now NYT is like the BBC.

Why would any of us be supised by any of this. The New York Tines has become a pimp for CAIR and at the same time has ordered all Christians to trop their pants and bend over. They have no shame. The only bright spot in all this in their attempt to destroy Christianity they will destroy themselves.

With due deference to what GAP said, do they seriously think the average Afghan can read at all, period?

Pam is a troublemaker, in a good way. The signature of Pam and Robert reminds me of the last lines of The Declaration of Independence:

“And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”

The real question is, do they think the average Afghan can read? According to the CIA Factbook less than 50% of Afghan can read or write. No wonder they get whipped into a frenzy so easily.

LOL thats good.

Well it looks like my prediction has come true over the Murderous Rampage by a lone US soldier who suffered from brain damage.

Although there was speradic shooting there was no "OUTRAGE" like there was over the burning of the QURAN.

Think about that for a second. These people care more for ink on a page, then they do for HUMAN LIFE.

I used to think that the NYT was good enough to line my parakeet's bird cage - I'll have to switch to the Chicago Tribune.

Hey guys, I got an idea! This has nothing to do with the double standard for Islam and Christianity, but the double standard for Christianity vs. the rest of the world. Lets remember Luke 6:22-23 and Luke 6:27-28.
"God blesses you who are hated and excluded and mocked and cursed because you are identified with me, the Son of Man. When that happens, rejoice! Yes, leap for joy! For a great reward awaits you in Heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were also treated that way by your ancestors."

"But if you are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for the happiness of those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you."

I think most of the people here are Christian, so lets please pray for the Freedom from Religion group. Also the Muslims.

GAP, nope, I would doubt that anyone from afghan reads any newspaper from the US or anywhere else, this does not matter due to the fact they have their mushisardines in western countries who, read the papers, then emails or calls the mushisardines in those countries to get the "riots", "murdering" and all out evil behaviour happening. They are distroyers just waiting for an excuse, and if an excuse isn't forthcomming, they will distroy because of the evil of the infidels not converting willingly to islam. pretty easy to figure out how the mushisardine work. But the very fact you have made a mostly sensible post needs to be credited to you, you have now posted two items that I must say I nearly completely agree with you on, so well done.

Sorry to bust ya bubble crujji, but useing those particular scripture is a complete cop out to basicaly do nothing.

As Christians we must constantly be in the public square preaching the truth, the hard truth of the scriptures of the one and only true God YWHW. We are ordered to do this, knowing that the percecution, hate and attacks will come from doing this, not for sitting back and just ho humming until it knocks on your front door.

In the secular West, the "Freedom from Religion Foundation" should be a joke.
Now, when a "Freedom from Religion Foundation" is founded in Mecca, perhaps I'll think the world is progressing after all.
