Sharia Alert: Department of Defense Unveils New Guidelines for Protecting the Quran

Anyone in the military can go to a chaplain and ask for a copy of the Bible. Until recently, anyone in the military could go to a chaplain and ask for a copy of the Qur'an. But things have changed. The Department of Defense is now so worried about how non-Muslims might treat the Qur'an, chaplains are only allowed to give someone a Qur'an if he's already a Muslim and has a Muslim identification badge.

Hmmm. Special protection for the Qur'an? I'm not familiar with that practice under the Constitution. But I seem to recall a legal system that demands special treatment for all things Islamic. What was that legal system again?

This is so discouraging.

Osama, the charade of your religion's "sensitivities" will some day be exposed for what they are, a bunch of violent whining namby-pambys.

You've got most of us fooled still. But it will not last forever.

They might want to re-think that one because now anyone interested in converting might find it impossible to obtain a Quran

Waoh! This is Sharia in you face!
If good people do not stand up and defend their God given rights, the West is doomed. May God help us.

RESPONSE:

LOL! The anti-Islam paranoia is quite obvious. You know the Truth is going to sweep through this great country, America :).

David, calm down. You have to look at this in the big picture:

1). This is just the military members. In the great scheme of things it means nothing. The vast majority of American soldiers don't give a crap about the Quran or Islam. They're Christian.

2). All this means is that they can't get the Qurans from military chaplains and libraries. They can still order online or just go down the street in Afghanistan and a Muslim would kindly give a copy of the Quran.

3). Most importantly this actually inhibits the spread of Islam. It makes it harder for members to get the Quran. No longer can they go to the library or an official and get a copy. They have to try harder which means they won't have the qurans in the face. To stop the spread of something you lock it away. Basically the militry is locking away the Quran. The only members that can get a Quran are already Muslim.

Most American soldiers wouldn't want their wives stuck in a sardine can the rest of the lives.

This is a foreshadow of things to come. It is not only a cause for concern but for all Liberty loving people to stand up and oppose this. This is the first step in preventing access to the koran by the general populace unless you can prove that you are a moslem. You should see the great lobby happening at the UN and the White house to prevent any kind of criticism of islam and its prophet. It will happen unless we stand up for the what is right. Bible were burnt in many muslim countries and people killed , not a single request for apology for the destruction from the government of the day. What is really going on...?

OK, this seems like an odd reaction.

I don't see the Qur'an or the Bible as books. After all, you can read both of them on the internet, can't you? So how does it protect the Qur'an to limit the number of people who have access to it in that sense? It seems like the Bible has more privilege now in that sense. More people have access to it, and anyone can get a copy of it and read it (or do whatever else they want to for that matter), all because we DIDN'T have a hissy fit when they burned copies of the Bible and go on a killing spree. I'd think that's perfectly OK.

WIN!
