Tony Costa on Toronto's Sharia School System

The Toronto School Board is sending a clear message to students: Muslims get special privileges, and girls are inferior to boys.

Kudos to Rev. Costa for speaking the truth. I was there during the protest (you can catch me darting in and out of the camera's view at some pointes), and I have to say that it was very intense. Both sides had bullhorns and were trying to use the cleverest slogans they can think of. Of course, ours were better, but that's just my opinion. :P

I am not a Christian but I am very appreciative and thankful to Christians.

About 25 years ago I used to drive cab in Toronto during Christmas week. I used to make very good money during the week. Christians were very well behaved great tippers and very decent people.

I like to say thanks to all the Christians of all different colors for being so nice.

The muslims are imposing praying on their kids! Even as a Christian these schools should be SECULAR and have fairness for all. Islam will NOT and should NOT dominate anywhere in the west - go back to your shithole countries if you want that.

I was there at the event and I told people that Jews are given TDSB space at fisherville Junior high school during the school day for prayers and other kids are forced to eat lunch elsewhere because the cafe is closed for people to do prayers. this gentlemen needs to get his facts straight. VERIFY YOURSELF AND CALL THE SCHOOL. THE NUMBER IS 416 395 3030. PRINCIPLE NAME IS RICHARD STEIN.

May everyone involved in this situation come to know Jesus Christ. We are all lost without his love and grace.

Keep crying over such insignificant things. No wonder why people call them hatemongerers. I just don't get why they hate Islam so much. Someone explain?

Kim,

If it's so insignificant then why are you here trolling the comments?

Why don't you spend your time and energy helping all those "misunderstanders" of Islam realise that their religion condemns violence and promotes equality of rights of all people.

Because everyone here is blindly following Wood like sheep. Perhaps if I make them think a bit.....

Kim,
Your statement presumes we couldn't possibly come to the same conclusions on our own without David's help.
But what about Nakdimon? Dr. James White? Todd Friel? What about former muslims?
Were they also influenced by David wood? Don't think so.
Fact is, anyone can read the Koran and hadiths. Millions of people reject islam this way.
And it doesn't take a genius to do it, nor does it mean you follow David Wood. All you have to do is watch TV or pick up a newspaper.
My earliest memories of witnessing the 'fruits of Islam' are watching the news with my parents and seeing arab men screaming as they held up signs and shouted 'Death to America!"
I was eight years old then. I just turned 35 last Friday.
It's not a religion of peace, and it's not something I EVER want to be subjected to.

If you do then good luck with your move to Yemen. You're gonna need it!

Kim,

If I may say, perhaps you are the one blindly following the mainstream media. You claim we are blind, I claim you are blind.

Fisher: Yeah yeah yeah, we heard you the first couple hundred times you said it. You really have to spam the exact same argument over and over again, don't you?

GreekAsianPanda said...

Since this seems to bother a lot of you, does it bother any of you that Ontario publicly funds the Catholic school system while not doing the same thing for other faiths?

Finally a fair Christian ^^

Kim,

Could you please explain to me why a menstruating woman cannot pray or touch the Koran?

As other posters have said, you don't consider that we actually think for ourselves and still come to the same conclusions as David does, or at least we come to similar conclusions that Islam is something to be defeated and is not the religion of either truth or peace. I think that you are spamming in an attempt of either disrupting discussion or acting out of stupidity. Surely, you can understand objections of non-Muslims, given the climate that Muslims create when they don't want to conform to societies in the West while trying to usurp government authority by pulling the religious and persecution cards very often in order to get everyone else to accept their way of life as Muslims. I do question you sincerety of posting most of the times. It is hard to imagine someone from the West not at least seeing the non-Islamic view, regardless of whether you think it is legitimate or not.

I personally have major issues with Islam. Primarily that of being a former service member and being subjected to their way of life in a very direct way...and that was 14 years before 9/11 came to pass...as a result of 9/11, I vehemently HATE that faith with every fiber of my being.

I do not want someone who flees whatever hole they came from, ostensibly to get away from oppression, to bring that same oppression here.

Fisher said...

G.A.P: I actually do. I personally believe that the Catholic School Board should be privatized... either let Rome pay for its own schools, or institute a voucher system that works for ALL accredited schools.

I agreed with simple_truth and Mike.
Kim-honestly, is that really why you come to this board? To detract from the conversation. Once again it's an exercise in futility because we held these opinions and beliefs long before you started posting and all your posts do is confirm that islam does not encourage critical thinking, freedom of speech or respect.

@ kim

Where do you get this idea that we follow Wood blindly?
Isnt it you who is following Islam blindly? It's one thing to read the Quran, its another to comprehend it and accept its true teachings. You follow some imaginary revisionist reinterpretation of Islam that all of your scholars and the sunna of Mohamed are completely at odds with. And every time someone posts the hate from the Quran and hadith you just move on and do not respond. You bury your head in the sand and ignore the hatred and bigotry of your own cult and point the finger at those are exposing the truth about your fascist bigoted ideology. I guess you would have labeled people who spoke out against Hitler and the Nazis as hatemongers as well. The hoops Muslims have to go through is amazing!

curly said...

Poor Kim!

Deleting said...

Technically Search 4 Truth they don't have to go through those hoops.
But unfortunately that leaves them with admitting those are violent hatefilled surahs and hadiths. From there where do you go? Say 'yes but i chose not to follow them' or say 'yes and i'm a bad muslim because i won't follow them'.
It opens the door to more unpleasent questions like 'so why did you leave your religion anyways' and the like.
And yes...I noticed Kim has gone silent on this thread too.

I am sorry I missed the rireworks at the TDSB. But Muslims do get speacial privedges in Toronto. Turring the cafeteria into a mosque atthe Valley Park Middle School is contrary to the 1988 ruling by the Supreme Court Ontario that banned organized prayer in the public school and teh Ontarion School Act of 1990 that banned religeous services in the public school.

I guess in reality it only concerend about Christian activities in the schools

I want to humbly point out that obviously Kim is having an effect here since everyone seems to be responding to her.

I too disagree with her when she calls this issue "insignificant". I am against it because of the double standard that everyone is pointing out. Kim. Why doesn't the fact that it is a double standard make you think?

I am not a Christian, or a conservative and I disagree with a lot of stuff posted on this blog. Having said that, I think David and the people against Muslim prayer in school are absolutely right about this issue. Why do Muslims get special treatment?

Perhaps because Jesus invites people to the Kingdom of God and Mohammed threatens people to the "kingom" or whatever it is. Islam is a religion of threats and intimidation. You do not hear or sanction this from the cause of Christ.

I applaud such a courageous person! Jesus invites people to the Kingom of God. Mohammed threatens. It Allah is merciful, why does Allah threaten, deceive and punish? This abrogation of Canadian practice is unconscionable. This is a submission to coercion not a freedom of religion as is clearly evident!
