You had me up until the "punchline" at the end. 99.9% of this video was put forth and relayed in more or less unopinionated easy to understand historical context (and the drawings were even cool) until the "Obama's motivations remain a mystery" line at the end which, in my mind, comes across as tacked on hinted speculation in an "Obama is a secret Muslim with a super secret agenda" foreboding sort of way. Gosh. I'm scared.

Obama: "A genuine peace can only be realized between the Israelis and the Palestinians themselves".

"Israelis must know that any agreements call for assurances for their security."

Obama: “true security for the Jewish state requires an independent Palestine.” And you can certainly argue that he's wrong... BUT HE FOLLOWED UP WITH: “It should be clear to all that efforts to chip away at Israel’s legitimacy will only be met by the unshakable opposition of the United States.”

Or when Obama said this:
“America’s commitment to Israel’s security is unshakable. Our friendship with Israel is deep and enduring. And so we believe that any lasting peace must acknowledge the very real security concerns that Israel faces every single day.”

Gee. That sounds like a Jew hating secret Muslim to me.

I'll steal a page out of David's sarcastic book when I say, "waiting for conservatives on this blog to rebut me in 3...2...1..."

Palestinians belong to Jordan, but if they could actually behave and be decent ppl they might actually have had their own state a long time ago, but as they said "Muhammad's religion started with the sword" and it will end with a sword as Jesus teaches.

Hey Dave,
Did you get the videos of your talks you did recently in California? If so, where might I be able to find them?
Thanks brother and keep up the great work you do. From one ex-Atheist to another, God bless you!

Ok.

I still fail to see how you can continue to defend Israel. They have one of the most brutal and ruthless armies in the world and still contain one of the world's largest children's prison.

Did you know that any Palestinian refugee is not allowed back in Palestine because of Israel? Or that Palestinians are not allowed to keep their own resources they cultivate in their own land because of Israel?

This is completely off topic but does anyone know what happened to Yahya Snow’s blog?

I feel sorry for the Palestinian people. Their leaders have left them out to dry.

Colonel Richard Kemp, Commander of the British Forces in Afghanistan, had this to say about the suppoosedly brutal and ruthless Israeli army:

"Israel is not a nation of war criminals. When mistakes are made, they are investigated. Hamas have no such restraint on their behaviour any more than the Taliban do."

I.e, unlike so many nations including others in the Middle East, Israel actually has accountability in its military. There is no dictator in Israel using the country's military as his own personal army to suppress the population, as so many Middle Eastern leaders are fond of doing.

Unlike in many other Middle Eastern countries, as a democratic nation Israel's citizens can and do speak up about perceived acts of injustice by their army.

As for purposely killing civilians:

"The truth is that the IDF took extraordinary measures to give Gaza civilians notice of targeted areas, dropping over 2 million leaflets, and making over 100,000 phone calls. Many missions that could have taken out Hamas military capability were aborted to prevent civilian casualties. During the conflict, the IDF allowed huge amounts of humanitarian aid into Gaza. To deliver aid virtually into your enemy's hands is, to the military tactician, normally quite unthinkable. But the IDF took on those risks."

And this:

"The UN estimate that there has been an average three-to-one ratio of civilian to combatant deaths in such conflicts worldwide. Three civilians for every combatant killed. That is the estimated ratio in Afghanistan: three-to-one. In Iraq, and in Kosovo, it was worse: the ratio is believed to be four-to-one. Anecdotal evidence suggests the ratios were very much higher in Chechnya and Serbia.

In Gaza, it was less than one-to-one."

This is far from the truth. In fact, the Israeli military has set numerous unmatched precedents in war, such as sending thousands of text messages, phone calls and dropping leaflets in advance of an attack, in order to warn the civilian population to evacuate. They also treat injured Palestinians in their hospitals.

Additionally: "During Israel’s airstrikes on Gaza rocket sites there was one civilian death for every 30 terrorists. By contrast, a 2001 study by the International Committee of the Red Cross found that the civilian-to-military death ratio in wars fought since the middle of the 20th Century has been 10:1 – ten civilian deaths for every soldier death. In other words, the Israelis protect civilians at a rate 300 times greater than any other national army."

Mahdi Said: "Did you know that any Palestinian refugee is not allowed back in Palestine because of Israel?"

You are being very disingenuous here. Around 800,000 Arabs fled or were encouraged to leave Israel (by other Arabs), when the neighbouring Arab states launched their "wars of extermination" against the Jews. Approximately the same number of Jews fled, or were forced out from, Arab states around the Middle East at the same time.

The Israeli government resettled those Jews and gave them citizenship, whereas all the Arab states refuse to give citizenship, or equal rights, to Palestinians. Instead they are treated like political pawns to try to delegitimise Israel. Now they are demanding the so called "right of return" for more than 4 million refugees, most of which were not born nor have ever lived in Israel and can not therefore be considered refugees.

Interestingly, the Palestinian Ambassador to the UN, Abdullah Abdullah, has just recently said that these "refugees" will not necessarily be considered as citizens in any future Palestinian state. This makes the true agenda of these people seem as obvious as it is sickening and hypocritical.

I dont hear this video because I m Deaf. I am just read the drawing of video.
I dont understand Israel offer the independent state to Palestine three times decade ago, but Palestine reject. Now, Obama ask Israel to back the 1967 border line. Israel reject Obama's offering. What wrong with this big picture? maybe I am misunderstand. Please give me feedback. Thank you

Mahdi I fail to see why you would say such a thing, every one here fails to see how you can continue to defend your false prophet when he committed all these acts.

If you do not like this site and want me to remove it, instead of acting as a bully or as a victim, disprove my charges against Muhammad logically. Not only will I remove the site, I will publicly announce that Islam is a true religion. I will also pay

$50,000 U.S. dollars

to anyone who can disprove any of the dozen of the accusations that I have made against Muhammad. I accuse Muhammad of being:

a narcissist a misogynist a rapist
a pedophile a lecher a torturer
a mass murderer a cult leader an assassin
a terrorist a madman a looter

@ curly,
No you're not misunderstanding. The UN stated several times ruling Isreal has to have defensible borders. The 1967 borders don't give them that.
Israel has been more generous with Palestine than most countries would be, and more generous than they deserve because they (Arab Israelis and no I refuse to call them Palestinians because they are not 2000 year old jews walking around) are not entitled to ANY OF IT!
This is another muslim ploy to take land belonging to the jews so they can wipe them off the face of the planet.
Please see Joel Chapter 3 when (because unfortunately) this happens.
HELL. ON. EARTH!

Well, now the Palestinians want their own state :).

Deleting said...

No Kim, once again you neglected to watch the video much like you neglect to read article or censor yourself for your own benefit.
The Arab Israelis/Refugees/Puppets don't want their own state.
They want THE state. They want the Jews out of Israel. They have always wanted the whole state and out of arrogant stupidity (maybe on both parts because Israel doesn't owe them anything and YHWH said not to divide the land) they've given up proposals to divide over half the land and then a 40% of the land as well as booming economy in the flower industry.
Their response? War. Bloodshed.

Go back and watch the video.

curly said...

@Deleting,
Thank you for respond me. If I have something show up in my mind for questions, I will ask you again. I do not know very well about Israel/Palestine(or Arab Israelis). I know just surfacely about them.

Go read CNN news. Abbas proposed for a Palestinian state.

Again...why are you peace, loving, kind supposedly Christians, so rude when you talk to people of other faiths?

Deleting said...

Kim,
Once again, you didn't watch the video. I don't care what Abbas proposed. Isreal, several times, proposed it first. This is just the first time Abbas is willing to propose it first.

As for the second question,
I guess I could ask you the same thing Kim.

Why do you blame a woman raped by a gang of muslims?
Why are your posts (usually the first on any thread) usually a backhanded insult or a subverted polemic attack?

Keep in mind Jews, atheists and agnostics have also posted on this board. I thonk a hindi may have posted once too. I don't have conflicts with them. Rarely does anyone have conflicts with them on this board.
The problem isn't us Christians, it's the 'supposedly' peace loving muslims like yourself that stir the pot.

Stop pointing the finger at me and turn it back on yourself.

Kim: "Well, now the Palestinians want their own state :)."

No they don't Kim, they still want the same thing they've always wanted: The destruction or subjugation of the non-Muslim population in Israel, in accordance with Islamic law.

The only concession the Palestinians have ever been asked to make in exchange for a two-state solution is to recognise Israel as a Jewish state and to not expect them to have to absorb 4-5 million "refugees", which as they know would destroy the country.

Abbas' latest ploy is just another attempt to deligitimise Israel. He is trying to gain the credibility of a nation state without having to do any work or accept any of the responsibility for running one. Any Palestinian state would be a total failure and a bloodbath to boot. The Palestinian leadership likely know this, but will be happy to use the opportunity to further demonise Israel and demmand further concessions. All of this is just part of the same old jihad.

I'll bee praying, to our common G-d -- the Holy Trinity -- for you and your family...

That's what you see, but i see is a country who has been fighting for their survive, also i see a country who declared war in the very moment the same organization that are crying to now said that Israel was gonna be rebuilt there, and after they have been losing war after war, now they wanna use this organization to get back what they lost for being violent and think as Muhammad would 1,400 years ago.
But i fail to see why are you muslim if your religion allows slaves, rapes, torture, murder, extortion , marry kids, etc etc only because they are from a different belief. Am i the only one who sees an inconsistency here ? Did you know that all what the turks did to the christians armenians is supported by the quran and hadiths? i mean it is not only that there are huge similarities, but many of those acts are direct commands from Muhammad and allah, did you know that the violence the muslim egyptians are showing towaard christian egyptian is supported by the quran and hadith? i wonder why you follow such a religion if it is so "brutal" and "ruthless". BTW palestinians suffer so much that they are one of the fatest population in the woorld :S i wonder why if africans suffer so much as the palestinians they don't get fat as them ...

i htought JEws (like israelites) are from another faith, Hindus (which we have good relation with) are from another faith, Budhists (which we have also good relations, and we dont destroy their images because they insult allah), even between the different denominations of christians we keepp peaceful relations. But now i wonder, why if Islam is peace you are in troubles with all your neighborgs? China, India, Europe, etc, why are you in war with all other religions, even Shia vs Sunni. Kim you can't be more incosistent in your claims.

@ Kim attempting to demonize people of other faiths for telling the truth and getting tired and bored of exposing her hypocrisy, logical fallacies and taqiyya.

Correction is not judgment, as the Bible says that we should correct, rebuke and be bold to those who are sinning. It is to be done in an act of caring for them in the hope that they will believe. That way we could contribute to the saving of a soul. If we don't, we could be responsible for suppressing the truth which could mean eternal death instead of eternal life for that person.

"James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins."

"1 Timothy 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. Luke 17:3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. 2 Timothy 4:2 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. Titus 1:13 This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Titus 2:15 These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee."

If we don't warn someone in error to turn from evil, we are partly responsible.

"Ezekiel 33:8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand"

Let's compare, shall we?

Muslim (1:33) - the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah

Bukhari (8:387) - Allah's Apostle said, "I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah

Quran (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Quran (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"

Quran (3:56) - "As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help."

Kim,

Okay let's say that we believe you, and that this time, the Palestinians are willing to settle for a two state resolution.

It it doesn't work out, and the Palestinans back out.....again, are you willing to get baptized into the Christian faith?

How much do you really trust the Palestinians when it comes to your own personal business? How much should the Israelis?
