I like the second lady's comments about the U.S. Department of State's report on international religious freedom and how it dealt with the allegations of the abduction of Coptic women. Since there are women who actually claim that they were forced or lured into marriages in order to make them convert to Islam, rather than just the parents claiming their daughters went missing, one would think the Department of State would take that a little more seriously than just taking the police's word for it that the girls converted willingly. I suppose it's difficult when the crimes are so heinous, but still.

Anyway, it's really unfortunate that Copts have to worry about this when one of their female family members goes missing. When Kamilia Shehata temporarily left home to cool off after having an argument with her husband (a Coptic priest), the Coptic community had no idea where she went and assumed she had been kidnapped. After they had protested, the police found her with a relative and made her return home. I don't know for sure, but I fear that that could provide support for anyone who wants to dismiss reports of abduction--I mean, they could just say, "Well, the Copts were wrong about Kamilia..." Again, I don't know if that'll happen, but it's entirely possible. So when it comes to Coptic girls and women going missing, caution needs to be exercised so they don't make a mistake. But the problem with that is that the families simply cannot just wait to see if they are married and converted to Islam, because then it's too late. Sad dilemma.

And exactly how is the US congress supposed to help? USA has wrecked age-old Christian communities from the Balkans to the Middle East and beyond in pursuing "US national interests". A lost cause really, the Copts should look elsewhere for support, I think they might even strike better luck negotiating directly with the Muslim Brotherhood...

This is what happens when muslims are mayority in a country, at it's shocking considering that in this case muslims can't say they are "white missionaries", Christianity was in egypt many centuries before Islam, and this people are egyptians (genetically speaking) yet when Islam get the upper hand as the Quran says, they don't seek for Peace.!

We all shall pray for them and ask god to deliver them from their persecuters.!

Why don't they talk about the abduction of New Muslim convert by the Coptic church. These so called abductions of Christian women were debunked long ago, whenever a Christian woman flees with a Muslim to Mary him, she has to flee because her family will kill her for that. So when she disappears, her family is going to say that their girl was abducted to sweep away their shame, and restore their honor.
The Coptic church, unlike you guys, applies the Bible by the letter. NO DIVORCE for any reason but cheating. So when a woman wants to divorce her husband, the only choice left is to convert to Islam. ( see how much Islam is oppressive).
David Wood provides the motives, Anders Behring Breivik takes the action.
Whenever a Muslim commits a terror act, his justification is that Muslim land is occupied by USA and its allies. But whenever a Christian commits terror his justification is I HATE MUSLIMS.

I wonder if 1MM actually understand the truth behind what actually happens in Egypt? Every time I try to speak to a Muslim about Islam and what happens to those in Egypt I am told its all lies, and the Coptic church is forcing converts in these ways, and that is just not the case at all. Why don't you take some time and do some research and get all the facts before you go making a stupid statement such as that 1MM? I went to the source, I asked the hard questions, and I spoke to both sides, and in the end i learned one important fact! If you do not live there, you know nothing of the truth behind the problems Christians face in an Islamic controlled country. Time and time again I find Islam to be spreading lies about facts, twisting the situation to fit their need, and often times distorting the truth and calling those that question these issue haters and liars. rather then understand the facts and looking at the evidence, they cover it up and pretend it doesn't exist, unless it furthers their cause.

@Robert

So Muslims over there say that my brothers and sisters in Christ are forcing people to convert. What's REALLY happening over there?

Since March 2011 there has been 100,000 Copts leave Egypt for good. When minorities are not protected by the Government and Muslims can kill, maim and rape with impunity what else is there to do? But LEAVE... them to their Islam.

Just track the economic performance when the engines of the Egyptian economy leave.

Exactly the same will happen in Syria when Islamists take control there. Not just the Copts are in danger, bur Druzes and Alawites too...
