U.K. Police Being Accused of Covering Up Pattern of Muslim Men Coercing Young Non-Muslim Girls into Prostitution

Since it would be racist and bigoted to report the fact that so many Pakistani men are involved in the sex trade, it's best to keep everything a secret. (Reminds me of Dearborn Police keeping people in the dark about honor killings.)

Police and social services have been accused of fuelling a culture of silence which has allowed hundreds of young white girls to be exploited by Asian men for sex.

Agencies have identified a long-term pattern of offending by gangs of men, predominantly from the British Pakistani community, who have befriended and abused hundreds of vulnerable girls aged 11 to 16.

Experts claim the statistics represent a mere fraction of a 'tidal wave' of offending in counties across the Midlands and the north of England which has been going on for more than a decade.

A senior officer at West Mercia police has called for an end to the 'damaging taboo' connecting on-street grooming with race.

Detective Chief Inspector Alan Edwards said: 'These girls are being passed around and used as meat.

'To stop this type of crime you need to start everyone talking about it but everyone's been too scared to address the ethnicity factor.

'No one wants to stand up and say that Pakistani guys in some parts of the country are recruiting young white girls and passing them around their relatives for sex, but we need to stop being worried about the racial complication.'

In a briefing paper, researchers at University College London's Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science concurred that victims were typically white girls while 'most central offenders are Pakistani'.

The offenders were not viewed as paedophiles but had picked the girls 'because of their malleability'.

The report concluded that 'race is a delicate issue' that should be 'handled sensitively but not brushed under the carpet'.

The grooming usually begins with older groups of men befriending girls aged from 11 to 16 they meet on the street.

In a typical scenario, the victim is initially treated as a girlfriend and showered with presents and attention.

But the relationship quickly becomes more sinister as the abuser plies the child with drink and drugs before effectively pimping her out to friends and associates.

The worst cases involve young girls being moved around the country to be repeatedly abused.

Charities and agencies working in conjunction with the police to help victims of sexual abuse in such cases have publicly denied there is a link between ethnicity and the on-street grooming of young girls by gangs and pimps.

But researchers identified 17 court prosecutions since 1997, 14 of them in the past three years, involving the on-street grooming of girls aged 11 to 16 by groups of men.

The victims came from 13 towns and cities and in each case two or more men were convicted of offences.

In total, 56 people, with an average age of 28, were found guilty of crimes including rape, child abduction, indecent assault and sex with a child.

Three of the 56 were white, 53 were Asian. Of those, 50 were Muslim and a majority were members of the British Pakistani community. (Read more.)

This doesn't necessarily mean that proportionally, Muslim men in the UK are more likely to be sex offenders, though, does it? I mean, doesn't it just mean that Muslim sex offenders are more likely to be systematic in their abuse than non-Muslims due to a culture which respects women less? I wouldn't want to jump to any conclusions, because it is a serious black mark beside the name of Muslim men in the UK. The police held this information back because of fear of racism and anti-Muslim sentiment, and it's worrying to see the growth in support here in the UK for extremist groups like the BNP.

It's a culture whose dualism pits the lives and dignity of men against those of women and children.
A woman and child are the ultimate others in Muslim society. And so Muslim men give themselves complete license in dealings with them.

The BNP is, in fact, a racist organization.
The EDL is not.
The EDL makes its case not on the basis of race, but on the basis of English history, culture, and social expectations.
They are working class people who realize that something is wrong.
The rich get richer.
The Muslims are their new clients.
And the British working-class is headed for chaos.
The EDL is trying to find other sources of authority and definition.
No longer will the British working-class turn to "their betters" for the definition of the English identity.
This is a change whose time has come.

Andrew Gilligan at the Telegraph says: "As at June 2009, there were 7,021 British men in prison for sex crimes, of whom only 234 were Asian. That is 3.3 per cent, rather less than the proportion of Asians in the population. And a 2008 study by Malcolm Cowburn of Sheffield Hallam University found that jailed sex criminals from ethnic minorities were less likely to have abused children than white sex offenders." That's the stats for Asians as a whole group, although I don't know figures for Muslims who are of course mostly Asian.

Happily enough for those who worry about racism, "...in 2008, Lancashire police and Blackburn social services set up Operation Engage... unfortunately for [the BNP], the only two white Blackburn people recently convicted of this crime, in November 2008, turned out to be members of the party". So the BNP shouldn't be taking the moral high ground here as they have been doing.

Yeah, I know that the EDL aren't racist, but the way that they protest makes it difficult to convey that message. Essentially they go to areas with a high immigrant population, and start protesting, some wearing balaclavas. To those who don't know any better, that simply conveys a racist message reminiscent of the NF. Then of course they are protested by a group with the name Unite Against Fascism, who may cause more or equal damage to public property than the EDL but who have a more media-friendly name. I may be British and worried about fundamentalist Islam certainly won't be joining a Defence League anytime soon.
