More Than 100 Canadian Christians Targeted for Attempting to Convert Muslims

More than 100 Canadian-Arab Christians are listed on an al-Qaeda affiliated website, apparently targeted because of their alleged role in attempting to convert Muslims.

Some of those named say concerned Canadian intelligence officials have contacted them.

The Shumukh-al-Islam website, often considered to be al-Qaeda's mouthpiece, listed pictures, addresses and cellphone numbers of Coptic Christians, predominantly Egyptian-Canadians, who have been vocal about their opposition to Islam.

In a forum on the website, one member named Son of a Sharp Sword, said, "We are going to return back to Islam and all of the Mujahedeen [holy warriors] will cut off their heads."

Three pages of the fundamentalist, Arabic-language website titled "Complete Information on Coptics" sets to "identify and name all of the Coptics throughout the world who hope to defame Islam." The website calls the Coptic Christians living abroad "dogs in diaspora," a derogatory reference in Arabic.

Among those named on the Shumukh-al-Islam website is Samuel Tawadrous, a Coptic Egyptian living in Quebec.

"This is a direct threat against our lives," Tawadrous said in an interview.

"They are trying to inform each other in hopes that someone can carry out this threat. They could be in Egypt and they could be here. Our names and our pictures are listed."

Tawadrous's picture and cellphone number were listed on the site.

One of the prominent figures listed on the website is Salim Naguib, who helped establish a Coptic organization in Canada. Naguib is described on the website as opposing Islamic Shariah and as converting Muslims to Christianity. His picture, career background and cellphone number are listed on the website.

But he said in an interview he won't be frightened.

"I only fear God," said Naguib when reached by phone. "These websites mean nothing any more." (Read more.)

Wow, all I can say is that someday I hope to be on that list. Kind of disappointed I'm not.

What I think would be awesome is that we start a petition of Christians around the world with are names address etc... and send it to the website. We will not be afraid

As a Canadian I am disturbed that this is happening here in Canada. We can only hope that the media and politicians pick up on this and realize Islam is out to destroy us.

Of course the Muslims will play the victem card and blame everyone but themselves.

And this coming when it is almost Christmas.I hope nothing evil happens to them.So much fanaticism,it's sickening. From my experience they will never change,it is like asking a racist to change. It almost never happens.I saw the ABN show last night:"Has Islam been hijacked by the radicals?" of JIHAD EXPOSED with:

DANIEL PIPES,ROBERT SPENCER,IMAM SAYED(author of "The Lies about Muhammad",400 pages, written in response to Spencer:"The Truth about Muhammad",plus ABDULLAH KUNDE(of Australia),who has debated Christians.
I even publicized the show twice on jihadwatch.Watch it when it is posted in abnsat.com tomorrow. It was great.NEXT week, again at 8 pm, they will have "Is AL-QAIDA justified by ISLAM"with Anjem Choudry,Walid Shoebat,Kamal Saleem.

Recently I found out Shoebat was said to be a fraud by DEBBIE SCHLUSSEL.a Jewish commentator, who says he was emailing her under a false name. For that part it could have been somebody else who got access to Shoebat's email,or not.But she does say in her blog that he used the F word in a phone conversation with her.If it is accurate I hope he offers an apology.
For the rest, please remeber SHAFSHA and WILL in your prayers as they asked us.And i wish all a very wonderful Christmas.

These people, along with the Orthodox patriarchs, are really on the front lines of this conflict. It isn't one that needs to be fought out, it needs only enlightenment to be won. These brave Christians know it, they are aware that to know Christ and to understand Christian beliefs is to embrace Christianity.
It is the holy religion of God, not the religion of worldly conquest.
"Come to success," says that Adhan.
The bell rings, or the clock ticks, and no one needs to tell the Christian where to go.
"Success" is defined in spiritual terms. This is religion.
