Sahih Muslim 33—It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah b. Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and they establish prayer, and pay Zakat and if they do it, their blood and property are guaranteed protection on my behalf except when justified by law, and their affairs rest with Allah.
Since Muhammad is Islam's highest moral example, it should come as no surprise that his followers do the same.
COPENHAGEN, Denmark -- Five men planning to shoot as many people as possible in a building housing the newsroom of a paper that published cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad were arrested Wednesday in an operation that halted an imminent attack, intelligence officials said.
Denmark's intelligence service said it arrested four men in two raids in suburbs of the capital, Copenhagen, and seized an automatic weapon, a silencer and ammunition. Swedish police said they arrested a 37-year-old Swedish citizen of Tunisian origin living in Stockholm.
"An imminent terror attack has been foiled," said Jakob Scharf, head of the Danish Security and Intelligence Service, or PET. He described some the suspects as "militant Islamists with relations to international terror networks" and said that more arrests were possible.
PET said it seized a 44-year-old Tunisian, a 29-year-old Lebanese-born man and a 30-year-old who were living in Sweden and had entered Denmark late Tuesday or early Wednesday. The fourth person detained was a 26-year-old Iraqi asylum-seeker living in Copenhagen.
The Danish intelligence service said the group had been planning to enter the building where the Jyllands-Posten daily has its Copenhagen newsdesk and had wanted "to kill as many of the people present as possible." The four men face preliminary charges of attempting to carry out an act of terrorism. They will face a custody hearing Thursday. (Read more.)

There will be no end to this kind of violent and determined attempts by the brainwashed followers as they have been explicitly commanded by their cult to go after unbelievers. It is a one sided affair and as such reasons or excuses as quoted in this cartoons' case are not needed. If there are none, they will be invented or created by forcing unbelievers to retaliate. It is a pity that the West is still grappling with the violent symptoms of a mental virus ignoring its root cause. There cannot be any solution unless the real enemy responsible for the violent behaviour by the devout Mohammeden Muslims worldwide is identified. There is no point in accommodating the sentiments of majority of peaceful Muslims who are not only ignorant of the violent teachings of their holy texts but also are not in a position to help the west by taking on the so called radicals. This is a fact because when it comes to the theological debate as to who is a true follower of Islam, it is the stealth and violent Jihad practitioners who win hands down forcing the rest to either remain silent or practice deception to avoid possible hellfire reserved for such bad or unfaithful Muslims!
The US and West must at once completely withdraw its troops from Iraq and Afghanistan to stop its wasteful economic bleeding. They must concentrate on the real enemy and take the needed legal and constitutional steps by declaring Islam as a dangerous political ideology and as such it cannot be accepted as a harmless religion. The root of the problem can be easily addressed by inviting Islamic scholars to prove that their holy scriptures do not contain binding hateful teachings urging the devout to go after unbelievers. The simple truth is that they will never be able to do that. They will resort to lies and deception which in itself is very much authorized in their religion to be practiced liberally against unbelievers in one of its verses and hence, their deception where they quote abrogated and non-operative verses can be easily exposed. If they say that the abrogated verses are equally valid, then, they must be forced to retain these verses and discard the violent verses facilitating release of a new version that must be followed by all followers. They will never agree for this for various reasons. This is ground enough to declare Islam as dangerous political ideology in the guise of religion.
Another problem is Islamic countries just cannot manage without Islam and its harsh Sharia law components. Islam is totally incompatible with anything free, liberal and democratic and hence any attempt to reform it will result in politically explosive and uncontrollable situation involving billions of people in more than 57 countries. The Democratic countries of the West must try to protect and take care of themselves rather than trying to bring about democracy and freedom in Islamic countries. If this approach is not embraced, a day will not be far where the rampaging Islamic political expansionist ideology will undermine the very practice of democracy and associated freedom and liberty in the West. The current trillion dollar security system primarily forced by the practitioners of so called religion of peace is jus a small price being paid in cash, facing nuisance and frustrating inconvenience. It is still very small and just a beginning compared to what is in store if political elite continue to refuse to identify the real enemy.
