Well let us hope "Pastor" Jones will change his mind and not have his burn the Qur'an day. I hope I am wrong but I do not think that is going to happen.

Why do Christians feel as though they can take the moral high ground when condemning acts of alleged Muslim violence and bigotry?

"The horrible truth is that, numerically and statistically speaking, Christian Civilization is the bloodiest and most violent of all civilizations in all of history, and is responsible for hundreds of millions of deaths. Even so, Muslims will never associate this violence and blood bath with the teachings of Jesus (peace be on him)."

Here is the chart backing up these claims:

http://www.islam101.com/terror/christianViolence.htm

I have yet to hear anyone refute anything on this chart. Why should I leave my Muslim faith if your faith isn't any more peaceful?

David, I'm on the side with my fellow apologists. After all, when the Quran burners have had their fill, and all go home happy with themselves, it is the apologists who will be left to clean up the mess - LOL

That said, I did feel a little sorry for poor Pastor Joseph, who I know wanted to play the role of the impartial moderator during tonight's show.

All and all, I do enjoy this kind of a shakedown from time to time.

God bless,
John Baker (CARM)

When will this be up on YouTube?

AmirF:

You need to look at the examples of Jesus and Muhammad. I say Jesus set the better example for humanity, you Muhammad. You also need to study Islamic history before making such ill-informed comments.

@AmirF
Let me give the overall response to what you've said.
I won't deny that many so-called Christians have committed violence in the of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior. However, when a Christian sheds bloods, they are contradicting the teachings of our Great God and Savior, Christ Jesus. Christ said that Whoever lives by the sword, dies by the sword (Matt. 26:52).He said to love everyone, that we are to harm no one (Matt. 22:37-40). He said that we are to be peacemakers (Matt. 5:9). Similarly, his early followers said that our war is a spiritual war (2 Cor. 10:3-6; Ephesians 6:10-18). They also said that we are to live at peace with all people (Hebrew 12:14;Romans 12:18).

Continuation of last comment:

You need to look at the teachings of the founder of a religion and see if the founder prescribed such violence. Let's look at the greatest commandments of the founders of Islam and Christianity:

One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" Jesus replied"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. Amnd the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' (Matthew 22:36-39)

Let's go to the Hadith to see what Muhammad thinks is the greatest commandment(or the best thing):
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet was asked, "Which is the best deed?" He said, "To believe in Allah and His Apostle." He was then asked, "Which is the next (in goodness)?" He said, "To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause."
From Sahih al-Bukhari 2:26:594

Therefore we can safely say that Islam is a religion that promotes violence and Christianity is a religion that promotes peace.

AmirF,

Christians committed murder against Christ's teachings. On the other hand the Muslims committed crimes and murder in compliance with the Quran (surah 9:5 and 9:29), and that is a BIG difference. Of course you won't associate these crimes with the teachings of lord Jesus because YOU CAN'T!! Unlike Muhammad, Jesus was the prince of peace and anyone who reads the new testament will know that. Muslims on the other hand have killed millions under the name of Islam and jihad and they did it completely in compliance with the Quran. No one will deny that people died on the hands of people that called themselves Christians and opposing the teaching of the lord Jesus.

Also, no one knows for sure how many people died on the hands of Muslims, so let's not count the numbers here. At the end of the day it's pointless to count the numbers as we don't know for sure how many died. Muslims through conquest also killed millions. do yourself a favor and watch the debates on this site between the Christians and Muslims. this is why you should leave your Muslim faith, not because this sect killed more than the other sect and so forth.

Amirf, Do you think that you can attach an Islamic link and say "here is the chart backing up these claims". You need to provide links from non muslim educational and/or historical sites because they give the historical information, rather than a summary from an Islamic site that has a "slant". Rawanda was a genocide based on tribal ethnic cleansing and skin color prejudice and they were not Christians (do your research). ie: Bosian genocide was a territorial dispute after Yugoslavia broke up and land was up for grabs so to speak (similar to USSR). Yes, there was some "ethnic" disputes and many lives were lost, but primarily due to the sin nature of humans trying to take something to call their own. Also, the government played a large part in this war and many leaders were convicted of war crimes. Also, for this Muslim site to say that Europe is Christian is too ridiculous to comment on (especially when it says WWI & II). Similarly saying that all of the West is Christian. You may want to do your research before you tell anyone to go to this link because it is not based on any fact but rather Muslims in their ignorance compiling words that have no real facts behind them. Don't make "blanket" statements without (you) having done your research on the points made in your attached link. Thank you. Also another point - Jesus said this:
Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21. I don't believe that any true follower's of Christ (meaning those who have confessed that He is their sin bearer and their Lord God Creator of Heaven & Earth) would willfully kill or go out with intent to kill unless their lif was threatened ()and this depends on the circumstances) Also, again, don't believe that true believers in Christ take any "moral highground" in thinking they are superior in their mind due to their faith, but rather we should be confident that Jesus Christ has redeemed us from this sinful world for all eternity and we take pride in the fact that He alone has saved us from the fire of Hell through His death and Resurrection. Being the great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14) and final judge of all things ("For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to what he hath done whether it be good or bad") 2 Corinthians 5:10. The horrible truth for you, Amir is that if you do not put your faith in Jesus Christ as your God and sin bearer you will pay the penalty yourself and be cast in darkness for ever and ever and ever. I don't believe you want this - The Kingdom of God is near! Amen

ahlan ya Amir!!!!!!! Khayfak, izzayak, shlonak???
I hope you are very well!

Mark Gabriel, giza imam, al azhar graduate, professor of Islamic History at al Azhar (top islamic seminary in world, Cairo, Egypt) and memorizer of Qur'an age 14?...calls Islam's history, a river of blood.

Perhaps you might read his book, Jesus and Mohammad (pbuh) Mark, his name after believing the Injil is the Kalamat Allah, writes how under Mohammad, the Rashidun, following the Qur'an, Sunnah, and ahaadiths...attacked one another, Christians and Jews, and others.

You will not find this in Jesus, his Apostles (similar to Rashidun or Imams) Peter, Mark, Paul, Luke, James, John, ....Jesus taught them violence did not please Allah Mahaba, and they never fought one another, never seized others lands, killed or enslaved those they spoke to about the One true God.

I do not know what the chart says, but promise you if you look at Dr. Gabriel's book, you might question ... I see, even in U.S. History describing bloodshed to Christians that had nothing to do with Christianity. One example, Hitler, and the Nazis, which practiced worship of Shaytun are given as examples of "Christians".

Well, al Rabb is most powerful, NONE can change or destroy His Word. Ask Him who is the one true God. This is not about who are better, Muslims or Christians. This is about has God revealed the Injil to you, are you commanded to read it, and is their something missing in your life and heart in knowing, pleasing, and enjoying al Rabb.

Love
Abujoseeah
