Sounds cool! I'll be listening in.

This seems like a topicin poor taste.

Brother David, I ask you to be extremely cautious whilst discussing this topic as it will further strengthen some of the misconceptions about Islam.

In my view, the book should not be discussed on a Christian platform.

Allow Muslims to discuss it...please.

This would be more beneficial to inter-community cohesion as well as a stimulus to Muslims to be even morewatchful of un-Islamic practices.

Please David...rethink your appearance on the show in the name of God.

Thanks

I normally block comments from Yahya Snow, due to his "Christians are my dhimmis" attitude. But I had to make an exception and let this one through.

Can you imagine? "David, don't talk about all the suffering girls who are being raped thanks to Muhammad's teachings! Just ignore their suffering and let Muslims deal with these things." But Muslims never deal with them without outside pressure. Muslims have to be pressured to change their ways.

It seems Yahya only cares about how Islam looks on the outside. He doesn't care about the little girls suffering from Muhammad's teachings.

Yahya, clean the inside of the cup, not just the outside. And if you won't, don't complain about those of us who expose Islam.

Brother David,

Yes, I agree, Muslims must clean their own house. This is an issue which the muslim community is dealing with

I thank you for acting as a catalyst but I feel it would be unfair to tackle this sensitive issue with an "Islam Vs Christianity" mentality

Brother, let us do what is wise, ie tackle the issue in a fashion which sees Muslims and Christians working together rather than in a manner which willfurther polarize this relationship

Muslim wheels turn slowly...but rest assured...they DO turn

Please David...rethink your appearance on the show in the name of God (or at least rethink your approach)

Thanks

If that is true then you need to answers these questions.

1. Why is there a waiting period prescribed in the QURAN of three months for woman who have their periods and woman who no longer have there periods of three months?

2. Why is there a waiting period for "Those who have not yet had their courses" or three months?

If the answer to the first question is "To ensure that they are not pregnant."

Then why the wait for those that have not yet started there courses?

Two simple questions. We all await your answer.

It appears Yahya has reopened his comments section on his blog. As of late, he has posted an article that Muhammad being bewitched by black magic proves he is a true prophet!

"It is true that the Prophet Muhammad had a battle with Satan (black magic) and scored a complete victory over Satan and his forces thanks to God. This victory is similar to the victory God gave to Jesus over Satan in the temptation."

"Magic was worked on the Prophet so that he began to fancy that he was doing a thing which he was not actually doing.
(ie whether he had visited his wife or not). Thus we realise this story teaches us he had been affected by these Satanic forces in a minor way thus he “suffered” similar to the way Jesus “suffered”. [Link]

Hmmm. I feel an episode of "Jesus or Muhammad" coming on. Have we discussed Muhammad's bout with Black Magic before?

Muslims just can’t seem to stop overwhelm me with their superior logic. This is what I wrote on Yahya's blog:

So let me get this straight: Muhammad is spiritually influenced by Satan TWICE (Satanic Verses once where he is supposedly vindicated and after that Satan causes him to get delusional) and these people STILL think that all this proves that Muhammad is a true prophet? HOW?

First Muhammad is SPIRITUALLY influenced in his revelation by Satan, speaking for him, when he spoke Satan’s speech while revealing Surat An-Najm. He himself supposedly gets a revelation that God has blotted out that lapse into idolatry and the Satanic influence. In other words: this guy vindicates himself! And Muslims are all ok with it? How did he know that this vindication was from God and not from Satan in the first place? Since he was unable to distinguish between a revelation from God and a revelation from Satan, how would he be able to distinguish between a vindication from God and a vindication from Satan?

Then Satan gets a hold of him AGAIN, so Muhammad gets delusional for a full year. This guy supposedly gets another revelation about himself being vindicated. In other words: he vindicates himself again! And Muslims are ok with is AGAIN!

Note that Muslims will say “Oh… it only had affect on his thinking he had sex with his wives and not on his revelations”. The question is: How would you know? The reason that Aisha only narrates about him hallucinating about sleeping with his wives, is that she was in no position to know if it affected his revelations. Think about it: How would she have known that his revelations were off if he really had influence on his revelations? She wouldn’t. But she would have known in case of him not sleeping with her. If he hadn’t slept with her and he would claim that he had, she would have known for a fact that he was going delusional. Which is exactly what she narrated. Therefore, I really don’t see how on earth this story proves Muhammad is a true prophet of the true God in any way, shape or form.

So in the first instances he says “I know that I spoke for Satan, but God has blotted it out! I’m good now!”
Then in the second instance he says “I know that Satan made me go delusional, but God has cured me! I’m good now!”

And Muslims swallow it whole! I’m sorry, but to me, these are all signals that this guy was anything but a true prophet of God. All this makes me wonder: what would it take for Muslims to started doubting Muhammad’s prophetic credentials?

Hogan writes:

Yahya has been complaining about the blocking for months, yet Yahya himself blocked my comments on his blog and refused to link to my rebuttals of his arguments, which is why I have refrained from more dialogue with Yahya, if we cannot dialogue and debate by using honest and fair methods, I am simply out of it.

As to the 'dhimmi attitude', my experience with Yahya was similar: how dare I a 'British Christian' as Yahya puts it to call it demonic when Muslims torture a 12 year old girl to death.

How different is the account in Bukhari:

Magic was worked on the Prophet so that he began to fancy that he was doing a thing which he was not actually doing. One day he invoked (Allah) for a long period and then said, "I feel that Allah has inspired me as how to cure myself. Two persons came to me (in my dream) and sat, one by my head and the other by my feet. One of them asked the other, "What is the ailment of this man?" The other replied, 'He has been bewitched" The first asked, 'Who has bewitched him?' The other replied, 'Lubaid bin Al-A'sam.' The first one asked, 'What material has he used?' The other replied, 'A comb, the hair gathered on it, and the outer skin of the pollen of the male date-palm.' The first asked, 'Where is that?' The other replied, 'It is in the well of Dharwan.' " So, the Prophet went out towards the well and then returned and said to me on his return, "Its date-palms (the date-palms near the well) are like the heads of the devils." I asked, "Did you take out those things with which the magic was worked?" He said, "No, for I have been cured by Allah and I am afraid that this action may spread evil amongst the people." Later on the well was filled up with earth.

How is this anything like the account in Matthew? First note that Muhammad was bewitched! This means he was under the direct influence of Satan. Second he was going delusional and that means the spiritual attack on Muhammad was successful. Third, since he was going delusional, thinking that he was imagining things, he was in no condition to recognize this dream as either from God or the supposed cure having a real effect on him.

So bottom line: How on earth is the story in Matthew? How did HE know and therefore how do YOU know that either the cure was from God or the dream was real or that the cure had any effect on him? Because he vindicated himself? How do you know that wasn’t the delusion? How can God allow spiritual attacks from Satan on his servants to be successful to begin with when these servants have such great responsibility by providing spiritual guidance to God’s people?

Satan was successful against Muhammad – Satan failed against Yeshua.
Satan influenced Muhammad – Satan couldn’t influence Yeshua.
Satan fled Yeshua – There is no saying if Muhammad was ever cured.

NO comparison!

Here are further arguments I put on Yahya's blog. Lets see if he posts them:

Yahya, There is simply no comparison between Matthew and Bukhari.

Read what it says:

1Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. 2After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. 3The tempter came to him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread." 4Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'" 5Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6"If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'" 7Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.' 8Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9"All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me." 10Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"
11Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Notice that every time Satan tries, he fails! Yeshua beats him every time. There is no influence from Satan in any way, shape or form. In the end, Satan fleas from and angels serve him. You read the word “diakoneo” (here translated as “attended”) curing him just like in the Bukhari narration, where Muhammad was cured. I know you need to read it this way, because it would make Muhammad look bad if you didn’t read it as such, since the parallel would then vanish. But this is indeed a wrong understanding, because διακονέω means “to serve”. So they attended (i.e. served) him, since he was hungry (as it says in verse 2), not to cure him from any influence of Satan. This word is steadily used this way. For example, Matthew 8:15 Peter’s mother-in-law is ill and Yeshua cures her. The verse reads “And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered (διηκόνει - diekonei) unto them.” Notice that she gets cured and SHE ministers (attends - diakoneo) to them. Yeshua doesn’t attend (diakoneo) to her even though he cures her! See the contrast and how you completely misuse the text?

Hello:

I wasn't able to hear the show and have only just read the comment section here, just this moment.I think the best idea is let our friend Yahya Snow's comments be posted 100%,as long as no f words are used.
And we can have better interaction. It would be great.

As for the show,I am surprised a book was written, presumably by a 10 year old girl.I don't think David was doing anything wrong in commenting on it.After all,it has been in the news all over the world.

UNISLAMIC OR NOT?

I understand Yahya's position. It's unislamic because the girls have NOT reached puberty and Islamic law is against it in that case.

But in those countries where it's practiced the Muslim experts consider it ok.Either they are ignorant or they know more about Islamic law that those Muslims who are against it.I don't have enough knowledge in this case really.

I could be wrong, but maybe Yahya Snow knows the people of MUSLIM DEBATE INITIAVE and can influence them to issue a condemnation of the practice(and make it loud and clear in the UK mosques, where it's needed, not to us non-Muslims).

MORE INFO

A Muslim commented to me that there was a problem in the NT.Jesus in JOHN condemns a group of Jews who wanted to kill him saying "Your father is the Devil".He said that the problem was that if the Messiah was to be killed for other's sins then WHY was he against the Jews killing him?He should have been for it.A contradiction.

PSALM 22

I checked my notes and saw that it says "they have PIECED my hands and feet".So of course Jesus was against them THEN since the text says they tried to STONE him to death.

SO?

He was to be killed by CRUCIFIXION,not LAPIDATION.The devil wanted to make the prophecy not come true.

David Wood said...

Minoria,

Who told you that Islam doesn't allow sex with prepubescent girls? The Qur'an and Hadith certainly allow sex with prepubescent girls.

minoria said...

Hello David:

Yes,that's how I see the text also.Only wanted to emphasize that there are Muslims who say no.They would have their reasons.I think it's because they have come to ACCEPT the GOLDEN RULE.That is why one sees some saying Islam is against killing apostates(ignore the hadiths). It's a good development, but they are still in the minority.

I just checked MDI(Muslim Debate Initiative) and the MARY JO-TABASSUM debate still is NOT there. It's strange since Madame Tabassum is their lady debater,a Phd,a doctor, why not honor her yet for her dedication to the MDI of which she is a member? It certainly isn't hard to link to youtube.Maybe next week it'll be done.

minoria,

I suggest an alternative with Yahya. I suggest that his commenting privileges be reinstated on a probationary basis, under the condition that whatever rules and standards he applies to comments allowed on his blog be also applied to his comments here.

Since Yahya has stated that he filters "blasphemy" and any links he doesn't like, these would obviously be the first two conditions of his posting privileges.

I wonder if Yahya could stand to post here under the conditions he operates on his own blog and expects others to tolerate? (and I note that brother Nakdimon's comment has not yet been approved by Yahya)

So what will take for Muslims to see Muhammad was not what he and they claim him to be?
Bukhari vol.4 p.324.506.
Narrated Abu Huraira. The prophet said, 'When any human being is born. Satan touches him at both sides of the body with his 2 fingers, except Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed, for he touched the placenta-cover instead.
So we know Muhammad was touched by Satan, not easy for Muslims to admit. Notice how Satan has physical attributes, '2 FINGERS'. Notice how allah is described as having humanoid features also!

So the Quran says Muhammad wasn't a prophet! Why do they insist then on calling him one!

S:29v27. Wawahabna lahu ishaqa wayaAAqooba wajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihi alnnubuwwata waalkitaba waataynahu ajrahu fee alddunya wa-innahu fee al-akhirati lamina alssaliheena.

S:29v27. And We gave (Abraham)
Isaac and Jacob, and ordained
Among his progeny Prophethood
And Revelation, and We
Granted him his reward
In this life; and he was
In the Hereafter (of the company)
Of the Righteous.

S:45v16. Walaqad atayna banee isra-eela alkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwata warazaqnahum mina alttayyibati wafaddalnahum AAala alAAalameena.

S:45v16. We did aforetime
Grant to the Children
Of Israel the Book,
The Power of Command,
And Prophethood; We gave
Them, for Sustenance, things
Good and pure; and We
Favoured them above the nations.

So, all the prophets were Jews! I believe these Quranic passages.

Hello Sepher Shalom:

First, greetings on the Passover that will come soon. For the others Passover and Easter will be close,Easter ends APRIL 4 and Passover on APRIL 5.

It's true that Yahya blocks comments. He blocked mine also. Now,a Muslim's situation is slightly different.Maybe he is under great pressure from what other Muslim's might say or think(social pressure)...I don't know.I've never been in the Muslim world.
I say let's let him comment freely even if he blocks others and see what debates we may have.We can try it out for 6 months, just my humble view.

Nakdimon,

As you noted Yahya has not approved his comment, and it appears he has no intention of ever approving them.

In this post Yahya says he does not have time to debate people in his comments section, and has proposed Nakdimon speak with him for an hour on Stickham or PalTalk this summer. Perhaps Yahya should start by that hour to interact with the comments Nakdimon has already made before inviting him to say even more on the issue.

I also wonder, Yahya will you be inviting every commenter that you have not approved on your blog to have a one hour discussion with you on Stickham/PalTalk, or are you only inviting the people that have publicly exposed your refusal to approve comments?

Hello Sepher Shalom:
Yes,it looks negative that Yahya blocks our comments.Only thing to do is comment to him here on this blog. What else can we do?

Hello Gem:
I try to do what I can. What irritates me the most is the INTELLECTUAL DISHONESTY of people like Shabir Ally and Ahmad Deedat. When shown clear proof that ACCORDING to JUDAIC beliefs A,B and C sayings of Jesus in the gospels meant 100% that he was God they refuse to accept reality.
It shows lack of moral integrity. The JEWISH RABBIS are 100,000% better. They would agree. Not that they believe but the JEWISH intellectuals have moral integrity. They don't act like children like Shabir Ally,Deedat, probably others.Let's face it folks,Shabir Ally is lost, and will, like Deedat,go to his death knowing he had said things about the NT he knew 100% was false, used deceptive arguments on purpose, and thinking he had done a good deed for Allah. Then he will find one second after his death that Mohammed was a false prophet. But it will be too late.At least we tried,it's not that we WANT him to go to the bad place, otherwise no Christian would have tried to convince him.We would have shrugged our shoulders and not cared,it's not our problem.
