Take a look at Muhammad's Methodology in this Hadith:
Step One: Appeal to people's desires by telling them about all the stuff they'll get in Paradise.
Step Two: Once they're drooling for all the stuff they'll get in Paradise, tell them to go slay the infidel.
Sunan Ibn Majah 4332--Usamah bin Zaid said: "The Messenger of Allah said one day to his Companions: 'Who will strive hard with sincerity for Paradise? For there is nothing like Paradise. By the Lord of the Ka'bah, it is sparkling light, sweet basil waving in the breeze, a lofty palace, a flowing river, abundant ripe fruit, a beautiful wife and many fine garments, in a place of eternal abode, in ease and luxury, in beautiful, strongly-built, lofty houses.' They said: 'We will strive hard for it, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'Say: In sha' Allah (if Allah wills).' Then he mentioned Jihad and encouraged them to engage in it."

Wood, you have a typo here. The hadith starts of by saying, "The Messneger of Allah." Messneger needs to be corrected to Messenger.
Do you even know what Jihad is?
I doubt you do since you insist that it is only fighting.
I know about the greater and lesser Jihads. But if you've read these ahadith, you know what Muhammad is talking about. He's talking about going to war. (I've got some real gems to share later on.)
Actually not, if you read the Ahadith, you would find that most of them are talking about Jihad an-Nafs.
Where are those Hadiths which explicitly mention that in this instance the Prophet was talking about war?
