Politically speaking, it is the Labour-types who have traditionally been "Islamophillic". I wonder what they would make of this...

If it is religious accommodation, it is good. Unfortunately, the favor will never be returned because there is an Islamic religious sanction/instruction to establish theocracy in which minorities will be subservient.

Many of the Muslims living as minorities in non-muslim nations may not be thinking of forcing Sharia in the nations they are living (hopefully!). But it is quite likely though, that when population/influence/power etc permits, many muslim leaders will give a call to fight for establishing theocracy (using mulsim communal private armies if required), and there is likely to be support for it because there is the islamic sanction/instruction for it. We may hear fatwas against “killing innocents unnecessarily” etc (that too conditional), but we never hear a fatwa against the idea of establishing Muhammad's theocracy (which essentially means going against the humanist constitutions of the countries they live as minorities). This is resulting in armed struggle, suicide bombing etc in many parts of the world where muslims think they are ready to ‘go for it’. Muhammad himself has fought against the non-muslims - even if modern muslims deny that Muhammad took the offensive initiative in the wars, no one can deny that a muslim vs non-muslim warfare situation was created and Muhammad actively/ruthlessly participated in it and established/imposed his idea of a theocracy on the conquered nations/people. The condition to spare the lives (if at all), of non-muslims population is to either religious conversion to islam or be subservient in the nation. What a contrast! And I am sure no one out there is feeling guilty about it.

Good news, Tyson Chicken has re negotiated the contract with the plant in TN. Labor Day is back in as a paid holiday. The union voted overwelmingly to re instate Labor Day. Eid will be paid one time this year but after that workers will need to take a floating holiday.

As a former Teamster I suspect that a few muslims got in positions of leadership in that local. When it was time for the rank and file members to vote on the contract they looked at things like Pay Increases, and Health Benifits un aware that part of the contract was to remove Labor Day and repalce it with a muslim holiday. Either way Labor Day is back. So if you called into Tyson Chicken and KFC to complain congradulate yourself on a win.
