Muhammad vs. "Locks of Love": Are People who Donate Hair Cursed?

My wife recently had most of her (rather long) hair cut off. The hair was donated to "Locks of Love," an organization that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to medical problems or treatments (e.g. chemotherapy). These children are often traumatized to learn that they may be dying. Locks of Love helps them in a small way by providing wigs so that people won't stare at the children.

According to Muhammad, my wife is now under Allah's curse, and so is the little girl who gets my wife's hair (and all who give or receive hair).

Sahih al-Bukhari 5941: Narrated Asma: A woman asked the Prophet saying, "O Allah's Messenger! My daughter got measles and her hair fell out. Now that I got her married, may I let her use false hair?" He said (to her), "Allah has cursed the lady who lengthens hair artificially and the one who gets her hair lengthened artificially."

Sahih al-Bukhari 5940: Narrated Ibn Umar: The Prophet has cursed the lady who lengthens her hair artificially and the one who gets her hair lengthened.

non-Muslims have bigger problems to worry about than false hair and start thinking about their soul.

according to Christianity Muslims are cursed for not loving the true God (1 Corithians 16:22) even though Paul contradicts himself (Romans 12:14)

according to Christianity, David's new born baby and other little innocent babies are under God's curse until they grow up able to comprehend and accept the deity of Christ and his death for them.

so what's the point of talking about these useless matter?

Muslims are cursed for not loving the true God

Yes, and...?

Paul contradicts himself (Romans 12:14)

It says, "Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse"

Clearly not a contradiction since I doubt that you can persecute God.

under God's curse

Actually under Adam's curse. Genesis 3 indicates that God curses the serpent and the ground but not Adam and Eve.

I didn't know that this passage existed in Bukhari but I am hardly surprised that Muhammad did not concern himself with the dignity of a women.

Christianity is primarily about a loving relationship with God (outcome of which is victory over sin and salvation/redemption). Judaism has elements of legalism in the specific and limited context/purposes of people of ancient Israel as a chosen people/nation. Islam is the exact opposite of Christianity and it almost completely about rituals/legalism/traditions etc.

A loving father does not tell his son that he should talk to him 5 times a day, facing a certain direction, uttering specific words, wearing so an so dress, instructions about beard, hair etc (in the ultimate/final analysis). The central teachings of Christ which is a loving relationship with the Holy God is almost completely missing in Islam (where it is reduced to simplistic checklist of rituals and superficial list of do/don’ts).

@sunil
A loving god loves his people and wants them to communicate with him 5 times a day. He wants them to call on him so he can listen to their worries and sorrows. He wants them to feel his existence throughout the day. He wants them to know they can rely on him regardless of the day, a loving god doesn't pick one day to communicate with his people. Regarding your" facing a certain direction" you should do your research. Islam is about unity and equality if all the rulers of this world would give a direction to pray towards, there would be chaos. Therefore, god has set a certain direction for his people so everyone can be united and pray the same direction. "certain clothing" Jesus ( pbuh) wore a white throb and had a beard. ( according to your drawings and descriptions) also I've never seen a single picture of Virgin Mary without a veil similar to what Muslim women wear. Check your facts before you post uneducated comments.
Hope that clarifies your misunderstandings
